âGimmeShelterâ Cozy 4 bedroom cottage in the heart of the Thousand Islands
Cozy four bedroom, two full bathroom cottage with wood burning fireplace on the St Lawerence River on the spectacular Indian Point Area and borders the 1000 island preserve., which has miles of nature trails to explore. Over a mile and a half off of the main road. Private drive access to the property. Protected cove with docking for several boats. Huge deck and gazebo. Great location for fishermen, fisherwomen and duck hunters. Kring state park boat launch is only a few miles away. Alexandria Bay is approximately a 4 mile boat ride or a 10 minute car ride away. Near historic island castles and wineries. Large lot for camping.. Plenty of parking for big groups and parties etc... sleeps 8-10 people
Nice roomy house , Love the gazebo on the deck.
Eric is a good host and quick to respond.
We love the location and the peacefulness of the cove .
We definitely will return again.
Thanks again Eric đ
The cottage was spacious and very clean. Itâs a very nice and private waterfront location. Getting boats in and out of there requires some caution but the shore front is also very protected. Host was responsive. Kitchen was reasonably stocked. Cookware could use some upgrades. Itâs exactly what a 1000 islands cottage should be.
Our group really enjoyed our stay. The property is fairly secluded and has a sheltered bay with ample docking. The living space is more rustic and has some age but all the amenities are in working order. Eric, the owner, was very helpful and responsive to our questions about boat launches and trailer storage etc. The only inconvenience was having to take the garbage to a refuse center and pay per bag for disposal. We will likely return next June and as previously mentioned, we all had a great experience at this property.
We know the area so this is exactly what we were looking for and expected. Loved the dock, gazebo, and we even had wifi and cable which was an unexpected bonus! Super cute rustic getaway on what I consider the greatest road in the Thousand Islands! The kids favorite part was our nightly ride over to Kring Point store for ice cream and making two trips to the drive-in.
We kayaked almost every day and explored beautiful areas on the river and also were able to get our boat out and in very easily because the dock is very sheltered. The cottage was comfortable to come back to every night and the pine throughout is lovely. Our host, Eric, is a great communicator and we really enojyed our 1000 Islands vacation! Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay and found the camp to be roomy, the beds comfortable and the location excellent. We really liked the screened in gazebo, where we viewed sunsets each night. This cottage has a large deck and is on a protected cove, where you can fish for bass right from the dock or adjacent rocky point. It is about a 10 minute drive to Alex Bay and is right next to Kring Point State Park. We would consider staying here in the future.
