Beautiful rustic 2 bedroom newly constructed cabin on 80 acres to explore. All pine and cedar interior with farm house feel. large open covered porch to enjoy the outdoors. Beautiful kitchen ready to make a home cooked meal like grandma used to make. Large pecan trees just outside the doorsteps with bass stocked fishing pond steps away. Very relaxing feel to the property. Enjoy hiking, biking, birding, fishing, star gazing. The wooden bridge on Sawmill road provides great backdrop. Watch wild hogs, deer run around the property. Brazos Bend State Park is next door to the property. George Ranch Historical Park is minutes away. Only minutes from Houston.
We chose this cabin for it's location close to Brazos Bend SP and we love cabins in general. And this cabin exceeded our expectations! It left little need to go to the State Park, we enjoyed t
Perfect property to unplug! Enjoyed the creek, fishing pond and animals. The cabin was furnished with everything needed. The deck, grill & fire pit were great for outdoor family time! Owners are welcoming and available if needed.
We throughly enjoyed our stay. The close proximity to Brazos Bend State was a major plus. It was nice to spend the day at the park and then head âhomeâ to build our campfire, cook dinner, and make Sâmores.
The cabin, covered porch, deck, and fire pit made the place feel rustic, yet clean and convenient.
The checkin process was very personal and we learned a little about the history of the land and its surroundings.
If you are looking to getaway from the city and traffic, I highly recommend this cabin property.
Location is secluded and quiet, only a 6-minute drive to Brazos Bend State Park entry. The cabin felt recently renovated and offered an ideal setting for me to catch up on work after enjoying morning hikes in the B Bend Park. If you enjoy no traffic noise, listening to bird calls and hoot owls, lovely porch with tin roof to amplify raindrops, cows grazing and watching calves with zoomers... this is your spot!
My wife and I took our young daughters (ages 10 & 4) for a couple of days in the country. Very quiet, not far from the city but felt much more remote. The kids had plenty of space to play, a fishing spot on the property to practice their casting, and even some up-close views of cattle and donkeys. Perfect short get-away for any small family.
Rustic country cabin. Loved the friendly herd of cattle as our neighbors and the armadillo who lives under the deck. We enjoyed the egrets and darter birds that visited the pond daily. If you love wildlife as well as donkeys and cows! This is the place for you! Really enjoyed our time in this little cabin in the big state of Texas!
The only access road to the property had a bridge out right at the gate into the property, so they made a makeshift road that was steep up and down. Which was pretty sketchy but then it rained and the more rain that came down the slicker it got so you couldnât stop or slow on the way down and fishtailed on the way up. There was not exhaust or venting fan in the bathroom which mean it steamed up with every shower or stunk up the whole cabin if using the restroom.
Had a fantastic stay. The cabin was clean, well furnished, quiet, and picturesque; it was a perfect getaway for me and my young son. We enjoyed hiking around the property, watching the cows from the porch, and stargazing in the hammock. The property is very close to Brazos Bend State Park, and the cabin was a good place to rest our weary feet after a long day of hiking. Would definitely stay again!
We enjoyed the quiet of the country, listening to the wildlife from the campfire, and hiking around the property and at nearby Brazos Bend. The cabin is very nice and had all the amenities you could want. Property owners were helpful and responsive to any need. We would visit again.
We are a family of four and we found this property perfect for a quick getaway from the craziness of everything going on right now. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The property has tons of space to explore, and the close proximity to Brazos Bend Park is a great bonus.
LOVED my time out at the cabin, traveling with my partner, best friend, and their partner. Our groups entire goal was to get away from 'city life' and relax for a few days, and were granted just that with a few rainy days at the cabin. Got back, recommended it to family immediately, might even go back in the future. It was absolutely perfect.
We stayed here for 2 nights. It is as close as you can possibly get to Brazos Bend State park. Very clean house, recently remodeled. Extremely nice and friendly owner, perfect retreat from the world. We would stay here again anytime.
Cozy rustic feel plus comfort; lovely surroundings
We loved the rustic feel yet new construction and modern amenities. The cozy cabin had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed making our meals in the grill and sâmores in the fire pit. Great deck, hammock and pecan trees all around. The kids loved the swings around the premises and walking along the creek. The owners were always available and helpful. The cabin is 10 minutes away from the Bravos Bend State Parkâs main entrance. It was quite easy purchasing day passes and parking at the park. We were lucky enough to see 5 gators! We might bring bikes for a future visit. We will definitely stay here again!
