How lucky are we to have such wonderful renters! I always hope that renters enjoy their time at Ocean Village. This is the second time I had renters tell us that they learned to play pickle ball and loved it. I have heard it is not only the game but the people you play with. What a lovely family! We couldn't ask for a nicer:) We are so very very happy and fortunate to have a family, come from another country, with all of the different vacation spots to be had, and they still chose us!! I have had such wonderful renters over the years. However, this couple was exceptional! There was open lines of communication and an occasional photo. What a treat! We owners are asked to rate our guests. The highest option is 5 star. I wish I could have given a higher rating as they went above and beyond. It is my hope that I will here from them again. I did not know what to expect when we began renting our condo. Nine years later I can say it has been a positive experience. It is my hope that our renters are happy with the condo and find the whole process an easy one. What a nice review but this is only because you couldn't ask for better renters! I live in New York and Sue was exceptional in her communication. It is my hope that when someone rents they have a good experience but when they appreciate what we are trying to offer and will be returning next year... well, this is a big part of why we do this. We may never get to Germany but it was wonderful to have a family from Germany come to our condo. I imagine there may be a little more concern traveling from a another country and unsure if it is what you hoped for. I am so very happy that this family enjoyed their stay and would like to return. We hope that they do!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! How do I respond to such an incredible review? This couple touched on all the key points. What they didn't say was how nice they are! You hope that the people staying in your condo are happy, content, and enjoying all there is of interest to them. It's always a compliment when renters return. I have some rental relationships going on eight years for this condo. This review also is a reflection of them...wonderful:) I just did think of something they left out and may not know. The difference renting on HomeAway, compared to the local realtor who also rents condos on the resort, is a savings of over $900 to $1000. Now, with that being said there really isn't anything more I can add except my heartfelt thanks that I have such wonderful renters. THANK YOU PETER AND CAROL!

I am a Special Ed. School Social Worker and this is a fellow Special Education Teacher. I was very much hoping she and her sister would have a wonderful escape from the demands of life. It is also nice to know that the suggestions I offer for food and fun are followed up on. Archie's is a dining experience like not other! They also told me that they enjoyed the Farmer's Market and explored the parks on Hutchinson Island. I do hope they will be able to return:)

When you get a review like this...it makes the whole rental process so very nice. It's necessary for us to rent the condo to cover expenses. However, I firmly believe that we can't be there we want another family there to enjoy all that Ocean Village has to offer. This family's experience brings a smile to my face because it is truly my hope people can walk into the condo and just start enjoying themselves. What a lovely family:) It makes me smile to know that children are having fun at the beach. I can't tell you how many times we have gone to Ocean Village and the beach to see kids with their parents starting to get bored. I will pull out the boogie and skim boards and off they go! The parents can sit and watch as their kids play for hours. I have been told by some of our renters that they didn't even have beach chairs at their previous rentals! So, yes our garage is full of fun stuff and what joy it gives me that it is being used. Thank you and we hope to hear again!!

It's been 6 years! We bought our dream condo and eventually hope to retire to Hutchinson Island. Until then it was necessary for us to rent to cover all the expenses. I was new to Homeaway and being an owner, who now rented. Little did I know then that I would get to know wonderful people from all over the world. These two couples hold a special place: as they have been with us from the beginning. We are appreciative and thankful for their rentals. Our heartfelt thanks! Matt and Jill

I am so glad that this family was able to enjoy all that Ocean Village has to offer. They also recommended a restaurant we hadn't been too, leaving a copy of the menu in a binder we keep for all our renters, and told us of how they rented a boat and went deep sea fishing. We so enjoy hearing feedback like this. Thank You:o)

I feel very badly about this family's experience. This is our first negative review. I am a school social worker and I try address the concerns of others. This family arrived the day after I had stayed in the condo with my family; which included my 91yrs. Father. Prior to our stay we had a wonderful family return, for their second time, from Sweden. Please refer to their review. When this family contacted me, I immediately offered to put them up in a local hotel until the pest control company went into the condo to investigate. They declined my offer. The pest control company went out early and inspected the entire condo. They found no evidence of insects or bugs. I had a vested interest to make sure there was no problems as my niece, her husband and 2 small children were arriving after this family. They just spent 10 days in the condo and had no problems with "No See Ums" or any insect bites. I can't account for how this family had got bitten but did everything in my power to address their concerns. Thank goodness there was no problems with the condo. The family asked for me to rent the condo. I tried but did not get any inquiries. With all my rentals I use Homeaway's contract. This family signed this and it states: 7. CANCELLATIONS: A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 10% Cancellation fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, or that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. Again, I feel terrible that this family had gotten these bites. However, it would be like going outside, getting poison ivy, and then blaming the rental. I did my best to accommodate them. I returned their security deposit. I only rent once a month to cover the expenses of the condo. It is our home and we do not want high traffic. Many of our renters return. Our March renters will be returning for their 6th year. This is when we bought the condo. Again, I do feel badly this family had gotten bitten by insects. However, it was not related to the condo and I did my very best to address their concerns. This was unfortunate for all involved:(

Awesome Renters! We have been so very fortunate to have renters come and enjoy our condo along with all that Ocean Village has to offer. Both my husband and I work full time jobs and know how important a vacation is, So, it is our hope that our renters can come to Ocean Village, enjoy their time, and leave with wonderful memories. Renting our condo has unexpectedly given me the opportunity to correspond with new people, from all over the world. In this instance it was a lovely couple from our home state. Wow! What a review! I am a social worker and this poor family came from abroad and was having a terrible vacation experience. Appeal to this social worker's heart. It was short notice and by far the quickest rental I have ever done; but what a wonderful family. I am so glad that they were able to enjoy the rest of their stay, here in The States. It is experiences like this that makes me so enjoy the home rental journey. Thank you Sue. We hope to have you return to Ocean Village:o)
