Our stay in Highland Park overall was great. We traveled to celebrate our son's 30th birthday - 5 adults & a one year old.
We were all able to stay comfortably in the house - beds were comfortable as was the environment. Some very minor physical-plant items would benefit from attention but nothing that had a negative impact on our stay. House was clean & offered a relaxing place to use as a base for the weekend.
Courtney was excellent to work with throughout the process & provided fast responses to communications. The check-in process was clearly explained & went very smoothly. Thanks for helping us have a great weekend with family in the greater Detroit area!
This is a nice clean house. However, the kitchen was missing things we needed. The only coffee maker was a Keurig. This is difficult to use when there is more than one person. A $30 Mr Coffee with a few filters would be better. Instead of having a dish washer, there was an all-in-one laundry machine. Also, there was only one towel in the kitchen and a sponge for washing dishes. The soap was mixed with more than one kind. There was no broom. There were no pots and pans for cooking. There was no towel for hand washing in the downstairs bathroom. We couldnât figure out how to change the temperature for the air conditioning. We ended up turning it off. I also believe the description âin a prime locationâ is misleading. You could honestly say that it is near popular restaurants.
We moved back to Michigan after a long stay in Europe. We chose this house because of the convenience to all things cool about metro Detroit. We love the history of the home, the peace you feel upon entering and our neighbors are outstanding, friendly and helpful.
