Villa Falvert is stunning! The views from every angle are incredible. Every morning I was floored by the spectacular scenery. We had a group of 6 in total - friends and family. The villa was perfectly arranged with plenty of seating areas and sun loungers. We enjoyed lunch and dinner on the covered patio. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking although we did take advantage of the several wonderful restaurants a short drive away. The villa is located in a very quiet area but only moments from the beach, shops, and restaurants. Eric & Christine were excellent hosts - very warm, accommodating, and quick to respond to any questions. We had no issues during our stay and would recommend, whole-heartedly, staying at this incredible villa. It is truly paradise and we hope to return! Thank you Christine & Eric!
Ageing from 14 to 69 we had the best holiday at this villa in Guadeloupe. Accommodation is exactly as described and Christine and Patricia were fantastic hosts. The views from the villa were just breathtaking, we will miss that view for a long time to come. I have changed from phone screensaver so I can cherish the memories. Better to have a car so you can get around though.
Weâve rented vacation properties across the Caribbean and this was our best experience. Christine and Eric know what mature vacationers want and offer it with their property and their unobtrusive interactions with their guests (the mosquito netting over the beds and the magnified makeup mirrors were a nice touch; and we also used the washing machine).
My husband and I stayed for 3 weeks (Jan/Feb 2023) and our daughter and partner came for the middle week. The house was large enough so we all had space and privacy.
The photos are accurate. The house was immaculate and the salt water pool was clean and refreshing. We had sun on the pool from 10:00 a.m. to gorgeous sunset. There are chaise lounges and cushioned seats around the pool. The view is spectacular, the main living area is open to the outside which makes for a lovely indoor/outdoor living experience, the kitchen was well equipped, the showers had good water pressure, the firmer beds and bedding were comfortable, the bedroom A/Cs worked well, and the wifi was consistent. We didnât use the TV or stereo but they looked to be high end. There was a garbage bin at the end of the driveway and it was emptied once/week.
Christine was responsive in all our interactions (her English is better than my French!). She and Eric met us when we arrived to give us a house tour. They made it clear they were nearby if we needed them but otherwise weâd be left alone. She notified us twice in 3 weeks about coming the next day to clean the pool, so we got lots of notice. During one visit, she advised about a possible island-wide power outage the next day and brought us bottled water, candles and a lantern. We appreciated her thoughtfulness. We didnât lose the power that day or any other day of our stay.
A car is necessary. We circumnavigated the island in a few short outings and the mountainous Basse-Terre side is more interesting than the rolling agrarian Grand-Terre side, although the entire island is lush, green and gorgeous. Itâs a short STEEP 10-min walk to Plage du Petit Malendure with amazing snorkeling. Thereâs gated parking at the house with room for a couple of cars.
There are neighbouring properties but the gardens provide privacy. We faintly heard but did not see the neighbours.
Itâs a 2-minute drive to a lively beach town with 2 decent markets: Carrefour and Leader Price.
We had a terrific 3-week stay in this house. It was inviting, clean and comfortable. Thank you Christine and Eric!
