Fremont River Retreat is nestled in the heart of Torrey. Property overlooks the Fremont River. This property is located on a farm with Dark sky nights and amazing star gazing. This property backs up to Public /BLM land and has amazing views in every direction. Quiet location sits on 20+acres with close hiking trails adjacent to the property. Amazing views are seen in every direction of this property. Sunsets are amazing. Wildlife roam the property frequently. Close to Capitol Reef and located at the base of Boulder Mountain. This charming home is peaceful and quiet for relaxing. No pets allowed
This place was wonderful! Loved watching the livestock and the spectacular views from all windows. Kitchen had extra spices and plenty of dinnerware. Just what we were looking for. Hubby enjoyed hiking on BLM land that was close to property.
We very much enjoyed staying at the ranch house. It has everything you need and the location was great for star gazing and animal watching. Our two grandsons enjoyed running around outside plus there was a very friendly outdoor cat they played with. We had to check the car twice to be sure they did not 'catnap' the cat!
Very clean and well equipped kitchen. Had some issues with the shower which were resolved quickly. Some other minor issues like some plugs not working, not enough coffee or dishwasher soap. There is a Keurig coffee maker so donât bother bringing your own coffee which we all did. Very good communication with property manager to resolve any issues. Quiet and peaceful- donât forget to look at the stars at night. Incredible.
"The Retreat" is the perfect name for this quaint, cozy, pristine, and well-equipped home surrounded by quiet, gorgeous countryside. Nothing fancy but so spotlessly clean, fresh paint, best bed EVER, and spectacular views of red cliffs, flowing river, and farmland--everything you could want for a secluded getaway. True, the drive out to the property is a bit long (5-10 mins) over a dirt road, but it's so pretty out there and the road is smooth and well-maintained, so you don't even notice the time go by. And the fun eating spots of Torrey are right at the intersection with this road, so it's very convenient. We so appreciated the bottled water left for us, as well as the laundry detergent and dryer sheets, local info, and especially the big bottles of body lotion for this dry climate. We really hope to come back. Highly recommend!
This was a great place for our family to stay while we explored Capitol Reef National Park. The property was a bit difficult to find, and be warned that it is only accessible via unpaved roads. But once we arrived and figured out how to get into the house (there was some miscommunication about check-in), we found the house to be inviting and have everything we needed. The kitchen was one of the best-stocked I've experienced when staying at a rental. It had plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and basic pantry items. We enjoyed stargazing and the quiet, picturesque surroundings.
Everything was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, oils, s&p. The dishes looked brand new and had a cute ranch style. The pots and pans were in excellent condition. The beds were super comfortable. Our only criticism was they use fragrance emitters and we are allergic to them. We quickly found them and put them outside
Great stay in a beautiful and somewhat remote location.
Aprilâs âRetreatâ was perfect for our family of six adults and one infant as we spent a birthday and late fall weekend around Capitol Reef National Park. The house was very clean and comfortable and located in a beautiful location. It was fun to be surrounded by ranches and to see the night sky away from city lights. We would definitely stay there again on another occasion.
April's place is beautiful and comfortable, well stocked and
clean. April is very kind and thoughtful host. Unfortunately the weather was cold and snowy or otherwise we'd have enjoyed the outside patio.
We spent several days on this property with 3 little kids. The house was clean and big enough for 5 of us. Kitchen is well stocked. We loved living in the rural settings - it was calming and relaxing. Make sure to get groceries on your way to the property since the closest big store is 30 mins away. The Capitol reef NP is really close. The internet speed is not super fast but was enough for us to have remote zoom meetings. Fresh eggs and pumpkin bread from hosts were such a treat and really nice touch. I would totally recommend this place for everyone.
The property was just as advertised. Host was very prompt and responsive to texts. Property had almost every imaginable thing necessary to make a stay convenient, from ziploc bags to use for sandwiches we made for lunch, to every small appliance/pan youâd need to cook, to some fresh eggs I was able to have for breakfast. The views were incredible and we had silence like you could never have in a city, which was so great. Itâs slightly off the beaten path but our GPS had no problem getting us there and despite the short stretch of road being packed dirt/gravel, our rental minivan had no problems getting there. On site laundry was a blessing with a family of four kids. Great stop to give us all space in the middle of a long family trip. Thanks again to the hostess!
We loved our stay at the Fremont Ranch property. It was sparking clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. We hiked in nearby Capitol Reef and enjoyed the restaurants in Bicknell. We did some tourist shopping in Torrey and thoroughly loved the quiet, quant town of Teasdale. Beautiful country! The house was perfect for our family and we were comfortable and so pleased with the property. The kitchen had everything, pots, pans, a toaster, plenty of plates and utensils that you didn't need to run the dishwasher everyday! We have rented other properties and they were not as well equiped as this one. I would highly recommend this property!!
