Relax in this fabulous 3 bedroom, 2 story oceanfront home in St. Johns County. This beautiful oceanfront home has two separate living spaces. Each floor is totally independent of the other. The second floor offers a beautiful master bedroom with a king size bed, sleeper chair (for one), a sitting area and bathroom with shower and tub. Also located on the second floor is another bedroom with a queen size bed, updated bathroom, dining room and fully-equipped kitchen. The views from the second floor are breathtaking! The private deck has rocking chairs for you to rock your stress away as you enjoy the colorful sunset! The private first floor apartment offers one bedroom with a queen size bed, bathroom and a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen. The living area has a sleeper sofa (sleeps 2). The first floors has a private entry and separate access to the ocean. This home is perfect for families seeking privacy and separate living spaces. The home is tastefully decorated with modern conveniences such as flat screen televisions and wireless internet. The second floor sleeps 4-6 and the first floor sleeps 4. This home offers private parking for up to 4vehicles. The second floor is only accessible via the front enclosed staircase. Historical St. Augustine is only 3 miles away. Gas grill and outdoor shower are also offered. This beautiful home is perfect for your family getaway!
(Windows are to remain closed.) Although accommodations permit more guests, WE LIMIT GUESTS TO 6 PEOPLE INCLUDING CHILDREN. If more than 6 guests, there is a $100.00. PER PERSON charge. Beach Trip

We have stayed in several condos and houses in St Augustine, this is by far the best one, love the covered porch so if it rains you can still sit out side, the down stairs apartment was perfect. Steps to the beach.

The property is older. Things that I suggest to change. the back-up bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floor, those mattresses are terrible. May be good for children but not for adults. The 2nd floor master BR was the best mattress.The other item is the ground floor patio that leads to the ocean. There are broken cement tiles that cause tripping as you step off of the porch, this causes an issue for people with mobility issues.

Perfect vacation home

We absolutely loved this house. It was clean, well stocked, and the location is amazing! The beach is clean and quiet and the kids (and adults) loved the waves! The house has a great deck and we spent every evening in the rocking chairs watching dolphins swim by. Overall the house and location were perfect, we will definitely be back!

Forget your troubles

Split level house with the main part of the house upstairs and second apartment downstairs with a bathroom and kitchen. Large deck at back perfect to listen to the crashing waves and breathing the salty air. On our stay it was rather windy and cool but it was still a perfect way to relax. Grocery shopping is just 5 minutes away and the heart of St Augustine is 10 without traffic. Secret, take the back streets you’ll get there faster and bypass the narrow A1A. The house is fully equipped with plenty of bathrooms 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. Master bedroom is very spacious with its own sitting area and TV. Overall this is a great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay

The house was well-equipped and clean. It was great to have beach chairs and beach towels. Having a garage was also convenient and helpful - we stored our bikes there. The deck was lovely to enjoy the sunrise and watch the ocean. We also liked the location (you can walk to two restaurants and you are a short drive from St. Augustine). All in all, the house was a good fit for our family (two teens used the downstairs apartment - they enjoyed having their own space). The only drawback to the house was - that due to beach erosion - you can't access the beach directly from the house. Although it is a very short walk to the access point, the short walk was along A1A which is a busy road with cars traveling at high speeds. Also, to get to the beach you have to go down about two flights of stairs. Not an issue for us but could be for others.

A lovely beach house in a perfect location!

A lovely beach house in a perfect location! Our family rented both sections of the home and we absolutely loved calling this house home for 9 days. The space was wonderful for us to spend time together in the common areas and the bedrooms provided comfortable sleep and opportunity for down time. The decor and furnishings provided a beautiful aesthetic and a cozy environment. The amenities, including the kitchen appliances, tools and dishes made it easy to prepare meals and overall added to our comfort. The location was very convenient. We loved the quick and safe access to the beach, as well as the proximity to the grocery, area restaurants and the amazing downtown area and sites. There were a couple complications including cleanliness and broken items. The dishes needed cleaned before use and the home could use a deep cleaning. The main surfaces and walkways appeared to have been cleaned but surfaces just past the eye (under furniture/ tables, etc) had not been attended to in a while. A big inconvenience was that the upstairs oven did not work but since we rented the downstairs too we were able to use the oven downstairs and bring the food up to the larger eating space. The washing machine and dishwasher did not work very well and there were other issues discussed with owner that all appeared to be listened to and taken under consideration. Overall we loved this beach house, including the amazing ocean view from the balcony. We made a lot of fun family memories in a place that offered paradise. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Great Location but terrible home

This home is advertised as a 3 bedroom with one of the bedrooms as a separate apartment. The location and view of the ocean from the deck were fantastic. However, there were many issues with the house. The apartment was on the lower level and it smelled like mold. It was terrible and we could not use it. The main level was not professionally cleaned as VRBO requires. There were spider webs on the chandelier, red sauce on the rug, crumbs on the stove, dirty kitchen drawers and dust on all surfaces. The master linens appeared to be new and were decent, but the guest bedroom had musty linens. It was cold and there was only a thin blanket on each bed and only 1 extra blanket. We had to buy 2 blankets at our own expense. Our expectations were that there would be paper products provided. There was only a partial roll of paper towels, 1 extra trash bag and only 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for our 1 week stay. There were 3 girlfriends sharing the house and we each expected to have our own room. Since we couldn't use the apartment 2 of us had to share the master bedroom. The master bed was absolutely terrible. It was old with large deep dips on each side of the mattress so one of us had to sleep on the pull out sofa. I contacted VRBO about these issues after our stay, but they said they couldn't/wouldn't do anything because our stay was over. I've contacted the host and I've waited over 4 days for a response. She confirmed receipt of my email, but has chosen not to respond to my request for a refund of 1/3 of the charge since we could only use 2 of the 3 bedrooms and the cleaning fee since the house was dirty. I've never left a negative review like this on any website, but I think all potential renters need to be warned that this home is NOT up to the standards guests expect from VRBO.

We love Vilano Beach, so this home was a great location. The weather turned on us and kept us from being able to enjoy the outside as much, but the home was comfortable enough to make it okay. A wire outside came down during a storm. Not knowing what it was for, we notified the host. Even though she was out of the country, she responded right away, contacted utility companies, and kept us informed. We were very happy with her responses. If you like being on the beach, I recommend staying here.

We have a family vacation every summer and selected St Augustine and this house for this year. The house had 2 separate apartments which were included in the one listing. The right apartment (1 bedroom/bath) was ground level and walked directly out to a patio and the beach. The left apartment was upstairs (2 bedroom/bath) and had a balcony. The same security code worked for both units, making it easy for us to go into each side without issue.The owners thought of everything when it comes to amenities. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, glasses, flatware and pots-n-pans. The bathrooms had plenty of shampoos, conditioners and body washes. And the beach accessories were abundant as well. We brought chairs/beach towels/floats etc. None was needed as they had it all.The owner was very good with communication and answered the few questions we had. We would definitely stay here again, if available.

Needing Much Maintenance & Repairs - Beach 10 Out of 10

The home is outdated, but that was not an issue for me and my family. The issue was the lack of maintenance and repairs needed in the beach home. The owners have a lack of interest in maintaining the home properly. The following are maintenance and repair issues that we experienced: Dishwasher does Not Clean Dishes. Also, the Bottom of the Dishwasher Rack Wheels are not working. The Washing Machine makes error codes during the spin cycle and does not spin dry clothes. The Front Upstairs Door has a dangerous nail sticking out, and the wooden door frame is cracked and needs replacing. The barbecue gas grill wheels were broken off, so it was extremely difficult to move out of the garage. Three lamps were missing on/off switches. Poor lighting in the upstairs kitchen, and the light was broken. Various lights need to be replaced. Lots of Rusty items that are Hazardous. The home had a clutter of family old photos and belongings. Also, many items that were broken should have been discarded. The bottom floor mother-in-law's sweet bathroom has a high step to sit on the toilet.Just wanted to note that the water in the home is sulfur water, so both the bath and drinking water smell like rotten eggs. We used about 24 gallons of purified water. This was a lot of weight and work to bring with us into the home. We enjoyed the beach and views from the covered balcony. The beach and views of the beach were a 10 out of 10.

My Favorite Place

We have been vacationing in the St Augustine area for 25 years, and this is my favorite place we’ve stayed so far. I love the charm of old Florida combined with the updated bathrooms and appliances. The covered deck is heavenly, and stepping out the door onto the sand was wonderful. Janet was very kind and easy to communicate with. We loved our week.

The Bad & The Good

The Bad. First floor bathroom has two steps up to the toilet, wish they had been noted in property description. It was difficult to navigate. Had to rearrange our sleeping arrangements. Then there was bug infestation issue on the first floor.It was addressed by owner but still meant 40% of rental was unavailable to us during our stay. A minimal refund was offered only after being suggested. The Good - the ocean view

Great house/great location

My wife and I thoroughly loved this property. Fantastic beachfront and excellent view from the deck. Sadly, due to beach erosion we had to use another method to enter the beach area but honestly, it was no big deal as it is right beside this house. Will visit again!
