Spacious, family friendly home.

Spent a week in this beautiful home and loved every minute of it. We are a family of 17 and having three levels allowed us to spread out and enjoy activities together or have privacy when needed. Two kitchens accommodated meal prep and food storage. Private dock and pontoon rental was fabulous. The walk from the house to the dock is on a steep slope so be prepared to get your exercise in every day.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great home in a great location with easy access, and great parking for 6-8 vehicles. Grandkids all said this was their favorite place and we have been renting lakefront homes on Norris since 2016. Very nice home, easy dock access, and great swimming off the dock. Everyone loves to tube and kids and grandkids learned how to Kayak and Paddle Board. Very calm part of the lake made for easy docking of the Pontoon boat. 16 of us in total ages 4 weeks to 69 yrs young. Thank you Jeff and Craig for letting us stay at your home. We had one of the best times every at Norris Lake!

Blessed and unstressed..

This home was perfect for our large family. Lots of room, beautiful dock, open yard space and more. The owners are super nice and responsive. Even a rainy day was full of games, movies and laughter. Only caveat, a few of the listed kayaks are currently in real need of repair/replacement. Luckily for us we had brought our own. We will book again!

Amazing location

The house was wonderful and we loved the location. The dock was great for swimming… not too rough and cleaner than if back in a cove. The house had tons of space and great amenities. The only downfall was the beds. A few of them were so uncomfortable causing a lack of sleep and neck and back pain. Another had a really loud boxspring (probably needs replaced) that would also cause wakings if anyone moved. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay!

Thank you for your review and as always we rely on our guest to help with future guest!! To the beds I want to say that we have always had great reviews from our guest including stating they are the most comfortable they have ever slept in. That being said we will look into each bed and see if there is something we can do to make them better. Glad you had a good trip..

I’m glad you had a nice stay!! I’ll voice your cleanliness issue with our cleaning crew. It is a big home with a short window for cleaning between guests. Sorry I didn’t receive you message until the next morning and came up right away. As for the ac I’ll add instructions to the guest book for future guests. It is set on a timer to adjust the temp higher when guest aren’t there. The thermostat needed to be lowered back down to kick the ac on. Thank you for your stay and review. We Can’t fix a issue if we don’t know about it. Your review is helpful.

It is a Great Lake house for large families! 8 adults and 6 under 5 years old! A few of the deck chairs need to be replaced they were broken! The microwave didn’t work but the owner replaced it with in 24 hours. The house wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Need more lamps in bedrooms. Loved the dock and kayaks, hot tub was awesome and so was the fire pit!

We are sorry the house was not cleaned to your standards as we have very few complaints on cleanliness! I will have a talk with the cleaning crew to see if something was missed and make sure they address it for our next guest! Thank you for your time!

Great place for a family.

Quick to respond to any issues with maintenance of items. Great location that is a bit tricky to get to. The boat ramp for the location is below sub-par. I recommend going to bubba brews to launch. The house has plenty of amenities but could use some updates to flooring and walls. Some fixes seem to be a temporary solution when really a permanent solution is required. The lower-level kitchen seemed to be useless and un-needed.

Thank you for your review!! As stated the property is tricky to get to. As many know Tn. has a lot of mountains and valleys this location has very easy access from major roads. Yes it has curves, bends and hills once off the main road but a short distance in comparison to most Norris Lake properties. We always recommend putting in at the public launch or Beach island if asked. We do not control the maintenance at the sub. Launch however we have always used it with no problems. The walls are a pine ship lap that are shown clearly in the photos online to have a cabin feel along with cherry hardwood floors. There are some scratches on the floors from guest moving furniture that hopefully we can repair in the future. We are unsure of any fixes that are temporary and nothing was brought to our attention that needed fixed. The full kitchen in the basement is used by a lot of our guests and have stated that is one thing they enjoy having so they don’t have to go upstairs while down at the dock to make lunches and warm up other foods. Again thank you for your input.

Great Lakefront Home!

This home was great for our family! We had four families combined and the set up was perfect for us. We brought our boat and dropped it in at the community launch, having the dock there at the house was amazing. The kids were in the water every single day. This was a great stay and a great location.

Friends/Family Spring Break

Excellent location. If you are looking to get away, this secluded cabin allows you to do just that. Great space for a group of 12. Still plenty of room for more people. Double kitchen made for cooking meals in one and desserts in another. Double oven was a wonderful bonus to the kitchen. Kids had a great time playing pool and roasting s'mores every night. Kayaks on the property were a big hit for everyone that offered great views of Norris Lake. Leaky dishwasher on the first floor, water heater needed to be reset a few times throughout the day and low water pressure were the only issues, but once we figured out the water schedule for everyone, we were able to manage. Would definitely return.

Family Getaway

Family had a great time. The house is very comfortable and has lots of space for us all to be together but for each family to have their own space. The kayaks were a hit. Both adults and kids had fun exploring the lake and surrounding shoreline. This is a beautiful, peaceful setting. Enjoyed the firepit in the evenings. although some of the chairs were in sad shape. Couple of constructive comments - bottom oven does not work at all and the top oven takes forever to preheat. Their were no horseshoe stakes so couldn't play, which was disappointing. One of the cornhole bases was broken and there were no beanbags to be found, Word of warning - don't do laundry and try to take a shower at the same time! But none of these things took away from our experience. Would definitely return.

Pros and Cons

Pros-Large house with enough room for 11 family members, the inside of the house was very clean, we rented the pontoon boat and made for an enjoyable week Cons-The outside of the house and the dock area looked like it hadnt been cleaned up for the spring/summer season. The plank going to the dock was an accident waiting to happen. In fact we did have someone fall. We had three nice refrigerators but only one of the ice makers worked. The refri in main kitchen dripped water and we had to keep a towel by it. There was not enough seating for a group of 11 on the top deck. All the chairs on the bottom deck were filthy. The information notebook needs to have more details-we didnt know how to turn dock lights on and the garbage cans were all full and there was no instructions to when they would be picked up. All that being said-we might rent again if the outside areas were cleaned and repaired. The house itself was great!

Very Nice

VERY NICE PLACE. WE HAD 10 ADULTS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR EVERYONE. VERY CLEAN. Gary was a great host we had everything we needed. Rented his pontoon boat for the day and had a great time. Awesome lake very big and clean. Should have rented it more but we were so busy doing other things. I slept in one of the bunkbeds and it was one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on I was really surprised. Everyone in the family really enjoyed the week no complaints at all from anybody and that's suprising with my family. Maynardville people were so warm and friendly. Thanks to them and thanks to you Gary we were so blessed to stay there. A lot of great family memories were made that week. Thanks again Gary, Scott
