Amazing spot! Beautiful front porch and dock to enjoy the lake.Anne and Ed were great communicators and very accommodating. They arranged for additional parking at the neighbors and gave us extra time at check out. We loved every moment of our time there. Thank you! We hope to return.

Beautiful porch and view of the lake. Well equipped kitchen. Only negative was how small the bedrooms were, so it was hard to maneuver around suitcases and "stuff".

This lake house was ideal! Lake Waramaug is pristine and the house with its large front porch and picture windows, allowed for constant appreciation of the surroundings. The house was well appointed from the kitchen to all the bedrooms. We had a wonderful long weekend and hope to return!

Wonderful Lake House

The house was warm and comfortable for our family vaction with a great front porch and dock for hanging out and relaxing while looking across the lake. The house is well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We would stay again!

Wonderful Waramaug Stay

We had a great stay at Anne and Ed’s property on Waramaug. The house was exactly what we expected and hoped for, and I would recommend anyone looking for a quiet spot on the lake to consider staying at their beautiful home.

We had such a great stay at the lake house! We absolutely LOVED the front porch and spent most of our time hanging out together there when we were not on the dock! Anne was such a great host and has turned the house into such a comfortable and welcoming place … she was also super responsive to everything - we will definitely be back for our next family gathering!

Lake Getaway

This house was ideal! The five bedrooms accommodated our two families. The proximity to the lake (right across the street) was perfect. We spent mornings relaxing on the porch rocking. One afternoon we hiked Kent Falls and another we visited Thorncrest farm. A stellar vacation!!

Every year, my friends and I go on a trip to be together and catch up. This year, we found this beautiful lake house and could not have been happier! I for one, drive 3 hours in an all electric vehicle and was able to charge right at the house! The house itself is gorgeous, clean, and exactly as promised. 10/10

Check in was seamless after great communication from owner. View is breathtaking. Spacious and comfortably furnished, including porch furniture, dock furniture and water "toys" (paddle board needs one new stabilizer), beds, recliner and sofa. Kitchen fully equipped, plenty of bath towels. Beds comfortable. Only minor suggestions are better reading lights for sofa and recliners and a few beach towels? We look forward to returning for foliage in fall and perhaps next summer!

What a find!

Wow! What a find! The house is as beautiful on the inside as the view is from the porch. All of us had enough space to enjoy family time and alone time. The kitchen is super well-stocked so that we easily prepared all of our meals throughout the stay. The hosts could not have been more welcoming, generous, or responsive. Thank you!!

Great place, but small warning!

I am a vrbo owner and have frequently stayed at other VRBO’s. If you are looking at this property and area, you know the market is limited and the price is high ( with an add on price for linens). This was known and expected. While we really enjoyed our stay, I was surprised to receive a surcharge for cleaning ( above and equal to the regular cleaning fee). The renters agreement requires that the place is left in the “ same level of cleanliness “ as when you moved in. We cleaned up and left the place neat. However, because there were crumbs on the floor and counter top and stove had not been scrubbed , the added charge was made. Neither we ( because it was unexpected) nor the owner have picture of the condition we left the kitchen ( we cooked and had kids). While I agree it was not “same level “ of clean when we moved in “ , it was left it good shape and in a condition one would expect would be a “normal” clean ,after one has cooked and used the kitchen for a week. We cleaned as we went, covering major spills ect. I sure the property owner will respond with a different version of the condition… but warning Turns out that the owner views the charged cleaning fee to cover only light “tidy up” My first thought was to not review and post this penny ante dispute, And the property is very nice. Just make sure you scrub the floors ,stove and counters like you were expecting paying guests rather than having a housekeeper clean.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and our vacation home. We make a large effort at considerable cost to maintain our home, have it clean for guests, and be well stocked. We have been renting multiple properties on VRBO for many years. Over that time, we have hosted 100’s of groups with over 90 reviews, all stellar. We apologize that we needed to use a portion of your security to pay for extra cleaning. Our cleaning service cleans bathrooms, showers, tubs, performs light vacuuming, and wipes down all surfaces. This is the first time that guests left the house without cleaning up stains and excessive dirt, in this case throughout the floors, stove, counters, and cabinets. It is the first time our cleaning service charged us for additional cleaning. We ask our guests to leave the house in the same condition and level of cleanliness as found. If there are missed spots in a few places, our cleaning service understands and cleans it as part of their regular service. This is a time for enjoyment and vacation. In this instance our cleaning service found stains and excessive dirt throughout our home We desire all our guests to feel at home in our home. We ask our guests to treat our home as though it was their home.

The home was lovely, exactly as described. Beds were comfy, bath towels were cozy, kitchen was well equipped and you could not beat the view and direct access to the beautiful lake! We had a wonderful weekend!

Peaceful retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely lake house! Plenty of living space, a wonderful porch with comfortable furniture, and a beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook and plate delicious meals. The boathouse has lots of equipment to have fun on the lake and comfy chairs if prefer to just relax on the dock. The property manager was easy to reach for questions and was very responsive. Definitely a good choice for anyone looking for a quiet, tranquil getaway.

Best rental on Warramaug!

Our return visit didn’t disappoint! House is in great shape and in one of the best locations on the lake! The host communicated clearly and quick to respond when an occasional small issue arises. Already planning our return for a third time next year :)

A 'Lake House' Dream Rental!

What a fabulous overall experience at the 'Waterfront House on Lake Waramaug'!! Rob and Anne were such a pleasure to work with and were so accommodating. They made my friends and I feel so welcome and had all the house details/specifics so perfectly, and clearly laid out on our arrival. They had thought through everything! And the surround area could not be more gorgeous - the incredible views (especially from the front porch!!), the local winery and cute town. The only negative was not having more time there! We're hoping to be able to rent again in the future. You can not go wrong with this amazing VRBO rental - thank you for everything Rob & Anne!

Perfect all around!

We were 12 women 'of an age' celebrating my sister's 60th. for a weekend. (We wish we could have stayed longer!) This house was so well equipped from kitchen to bathroom to living to dining to outdoor hanging. The manager was extremely prompt in answering a few questions we had during our stay. Beautiful home, incredible autumn views from the front porch. Highly recommend!

Perfect comfortable and beautiful getaway

Oh my goodness, we found our dream getaway home on Lake Waramaug. The views were stunning and the house truly perfect for our group celebrating an upcoming wedding. Everything was as described - better even - and we left already hoping we can stay again.

Beautiful Peaceful Vacation House

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandson age 13 all felt comfortable and at home here. We swam, kayaked, and enjoyed the paddle board. We loved cooking and barbecuing ….. The house is beautiful and accommodated to all of our needs…….We ate dinner on the large back terrace and . rocked on the rocking chairs on the covered porch overlooking the lake. A perfect vacation!!

Absolutely fabulous!

A wonderful week at an amazing property. Beautiful house and absolutely gorgeous lake. Our only recommendation would be to upgrade the bed in the downstairs bedroom. The coils in the box spring creak like crazy and make for a pretty poor sleep experience for two adults. Other than that, just perfect.
