Set in a spectacular position on Headland Parade at Barrack Point, The Headland House has been designed around its greatest asset, the ocean.



The home's expansive open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is flooded with natural light, with soaring ceilings and windows framing beautiful coastal views. Despite its size, the home retains a relaxed beach-house feel, making it just as comfortable for a family holiday as it is for a special gathering of generations. At the centre of the home is a large contemporary kitchen with an oversized island bench and generous seating, perfect for preparing breakfast for the whole family, laying out an afternoon grazing board or gathering around with a glass of wine while dinner is being prepared. The adjoining dining area has room for the group to sit together, while the spacious lounge provides plenty of room to relax without everyone feeling crowded.



Step outside and the ocean becomes the backdrop to your stay. The outdoor entertaining area and sun lounges look directly towards the water, creating a beautiful spot for a morning coffee, afternoon drinks or simply watching the changing colours of the coastline. Three of the home's six bedrooms enjoy ocean views, including rooms where you can wake up and see the blue water without even leaving your bed.



Families are particularly well catered for, with a dedicated bunk room for the kids, a cot and change table, multiple bathrooms, generous living spaces and plenty of room for different generations to spread out. The bathrooms continue the home's relaxed coastal style, with spacious walk-in showers and beautiful stone finishes, while one bathroom features a large freestanding bath perfect after a day spent swimming and exploring. Little Lake is particularly popular with families offering a sheltered place for a day beside the water, while the adjoining beach, Warilla Beach South is great for swimming and surfing.

Self check-in is available for your convenience, with access information provided prior to arrival once all required check-in requirements have been completed.



Please note that our standard check-in time is 4:00 PM. Due to the size of The Headland House and the time required to thoroughly clean, prepare and inspect the property between guests, particularly during back-to-back bookings, the full changeover period is required. Where an earlier check-in can be accommodated, our team will happily advise you on the day.

The Neighborhood:

Barrack Point is one of the Shellharbour region's beautiful coastal pockets, positioned between the ocean, Little Lake and neighbouring Warilla and Shellharbour.



One of the greatest attractions of staying at The Headland House is being able to leave the car behind and enjoy the coastline on foot. Head across towards the water for a morning walk, wander down to Little Lake, take the kids for a swim or simply follow the coastline and enjoy the scenery.



Little Lake is particularly popular with families, offering a more sheltered place for a day beside the water, while nearby beaches give you plenty of options for swimming, surfing and enjoying the South Coast lifestyle.



The home also provides an excellent base for exploring Shellharbour Village, Shellharbour Marina (Shell Cove), Bass Point, Killalea and the wider Illawarra and South Coast.

Getting Around:

A car is recommended for exploring the wider Shellharbour region; however, one of the highlights of The Headland House is its highly walkable coastal position.



Little Lake and the surrounding foreshore are within walking distance, while Warilla Beach and the surrounding coastal areas are easily accessible.



Shellharbour Village, Shell Cove Marina, waterfront dining, shopping and many of the region's major attractions are only a short drive away.

Looking for somewhere special for a kitchen tea, baby shower, milestone lunch or a Christmas celebration with a difference? The Headland House may be available for approved daytime bookings for up to 25 people. Rather than a traditional Christmas party, imagine gathering your team in a beautiful coastal home overlooking the ocean while a local private chef prepares and serves your meal, leaving everyone free to relax, enjoy the views and spend time together. Day bookings are strictly intended for small, low-key gatherings only. Parties, bucks, hens, schoolies and large or high-impact events are not permitted. Day-use bookings are subject to availability, prior approval, separate pricing, guest limits and additional terms & conditions. Please enquire for further information.



Payments: We accept Visa and Mastercard only. A 25% deposit is payable at booking confirmation, with the remaining 75% due 13 days prior to check-in.



Security Bond: A $2,000 security hold applies to this property. Access details will only be released once all required pre-arrival requirements have been completed and the applicable security hold has been successfully processed 24hrs before check in.



The main booking guest must be 25 years of age or older and must complete our online check-in and guest verification requirements prior to arrival.



Any stay longer than 14 days requires an additional mid-stay clean, with further cleans required at each 14-day interval.



This property is located within a residential coastal neighbourhood. We maintain a strict no-party and no-excessive-noise policy. Overnight guest numbers must not exceed the number confirmed on the reservation.



Hotel quality linen and bath towels are supplied and beds will be professionally made for your arrival. Please bring your own beach towels.
