House Too Hot To Enjoy!
When we walked in on a late July afternoon, it was 88 degrees in the house because owners have the previous renter turn AC off when they leave. The first night, the AC couldn’t even catch up and we were all miserable until morning!The main living room, kitchen, and master bdrm all have windows that are east or west facing and none of them have sufficient blinds to keep out the heat. So from about 11 am to 9pm that entire area stays hot. The AC can’t keep those areas comfortable. The one small TV is in the hot living room. That didn’t matter too much as the remote was either broken or the batteries were dead and we couldn’t use it. It’s also not a smart TV so we couldn’t mirror our phone to it. The kitchen was stocked for 3-4 ppl, specifically for cooking. For example, it had 2 skillets. 1 was average size and 1 was tiny. How do you cook for 7 adults and 2 kids with that?The patio is nice and big and faces east so it’s shaded in the evening. The grill on the patio is one of the smallest grills I’ve ever seen. Why would you not put a nice grill out there to be able to cook for 6-10? The 2 tables on the patio are tiny as well. The bedrooms do accommodate 8-10 ppl, but the kitchen and patio does not!The downstairs area stayed cool after the first night, but it consist of 2 bedrooms and a living room with only furniture. The mother in law suite is nice. However, it does not have central AC. It does have a window unit beside the bed, but it does not cool the room to be comfortable. The tv in the pictures of the suite was not where the pictures show. It was sitting on the ground. We didn’t even mess with it as the room was not temperature comfortable to hang out in. I would not stay here again!
