Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present "Green Breakers"! This home sleeps up to 6 guests.

Enjoy views of the ocean, Point Lobos and Carmel River Beach from this wonderful Carmel Point location. “Green Breakers” was the name given to this modern home first built in the 1930's.
Listen to the waves roll in. Watch pelicans, seabirds, otters, seals and even whales from most of the rooms in the house.

Carmel River Beach is right outside your door. It is a dramatically beautiful spot and much quieter than the main Carmel Beach, yet is only a mile away from the shops and restaurants of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Step outside for beautiful walks in every direction.

Living Spaces
This is a single-level 1,719 sf home. Pop the popcorn and start a movie on the large screen TV with cable in the living room that also has a decorative fireplace (no burning).

Outside
Three patios, two with ocean views, invite you outside. The large back garden is well maintained and is perfect for outdoor dining. A gas BBQ grill is on hand for barbecues. French doors connect the backyard, house and ocean patio for easy entertaining. This home is one story and level out to all patios and garden for easy access.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Bedroom #1 is the primary suite with a queen bed, TV with cable and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower.
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, TV with cable and an en suite bathroom with a standing shower.
Bedroom #3 has two twin beds.
The home also has a half bathroom.

This is not a pet friendly home.

Off-street parking for one vehicle in the garage and two vehicles in the driveway.

A washer and dryer are located in the hallway.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner.

Nothing short of fabulous!

It is rare to find a rental that feels at once like being on vacation and like being in one's own home. This place is both elegant and cozy; one can draw the curtains and be snug inside or open curtains and french doors and feel at one with the coastline. We sat with our coffee and watched the sealife and the waves feeling in our own little world yet we were within easy distance to all the wonderful shops and restaurants that Carmel has to offer. Definitely a rare discovery!

Week in Carmel

We had a wonderful week in Carmel, The views at the house were amazing. The weather was great so we were to able to really appreciate the views. The front and backyard are also really well taken care of. As mentioned in other reviews the kitchen is small compared to other rooms but since we were prepared for a small kitchen, it wasn't a problem. My husband uses a walker and this house workout great for him. he thought the shower was a bit small tho. My only concern is when leaving is the checkout list is long compared to other VRBO's that I have been to. Would Definitely stay here again.

A perfect spot

We loved our time in this home. The location is spectacular. Every morning we had the joy of opening the blinds on the huge ocean facing windows and seeing Carmel Bay reveal itself for the day ahead, with views of the breakers on the rocks at Point Lobos and occasionally sea otters playing in the waves nearby. At the end of each day we'd go for a walk on the beach or along to the tide pools at low tide. It's an easy walk or very short drive to the center of Carmel for groceries, restaurants and cafes - love to come back when we are not social distancing to fully enjoy all the town has to offer. And the hiking in the area is very special, with Point Lobos so close and Big Sur just a short drive away. In the property itself, the bedrooms and living areas are very comfortable, and while we wish the kitchen had been a bit bigger (we cooked dinner almost every night, avoiding restaurants for now) it worked out just fine. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and would love to come back here again some day, hopefully soon!

This is a lovely mid century modern house with a stunning view over the bay to Pt Lobos.

Magical. Very well equipped house with gorgeous views and a lovely quiet back yard. Extremely comfortable but kitchen very small and narrow. Many people walk or drive by on Scenic Drive, which is outside the living room. Not a bother at all. Fantastic place.

I looked for a property very close to the river beach. This is separated only by the scenic road from that beach. The house is very comfortable and in addition to the front view there is a private lovely backyard.

Beautiful view house

We just spent the month of August in this lovely home. The views are off the chart in every room. It is decorated beautifully with all amenities. The location couldn't have been better with only steps to the water and to Scenic. The property manager and owner were so accessible. Can't wait to book again.

Excellent Stay!!

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful property which faces the ocean. The views of the ocean from the home are truly amazing. This single story property has a great layout and includes three bedrooms and two and half baths with a large garage. The home was clean and is well maintained with nice furnishings and comfortable beds. It is also located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood in Carmel across from a nice beach and away from the more touristy parts of Carmel (yet stilll close to the great restaurants and shops). The owner of the property was great throughout the process, answering all of our questions in a timely manner and making sure that we had a great stay. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful oceanfront home with dramatically stunning views!

My Mom and I stayed at this wonderful property in February 2017. You cannot ask for a better house and location with stunning views of the ocean, Pt. Lobos and Carmel Bay. We watched the sunset each evening from the living room or outdoor patio while sipping our wine. There is also a spacious enclosed backyard and patio . There are magnificent views from almost every room. The house is charming and cozy and well appointed with extras. The beds were very comfortable; linens and towels are high quality. The kitchen comes well equipped . You can open the french doors to the patio and walk to the beach in 3 minutes or downtown Carmel or the Carmel mission; yet this property is also quiet. Great property for all ages and occasions! All in all, Green Breakers is a gem of a property for Carmel by the Sea!

A wonderful "home away" for a family Christmas!

By popular demand, our family spent two successive Christmas vacations at Green Breakers from about December 20th to January 4th. This year we had to rent TWO houses as we had the whole clan: Parents, 3 sons with wives and 6 grandchildren. Green Breakers was again the best house and was the focal point of our family activities. Judy Ivey was wonderfully helpful and even had a Christmas tree waiting for us set against the bay window overlooking Carmel River Beach and Point Lobos. With three generations from ages 2 to 74, our activities ranged from coloring, gourmet cooking, charades, hiking, golfing, beach combing, surfing, napping, and whole lot of laughing.

The single best view with immense quiet

A wonderfully cozy home with unmatched views. We've rented 20 times in Carmel and Pebble, and this ranks at the top. So comfortable....and the owners and rental agent are so easy....they altered the beds, just to accomodate our giant sons. Our dog adored the house, and the dog walkers too! Very quiet.....close to the street but no better combination of quiet and view in Carmel.

The perfect house in the perfect location!

We stayed at this oceanfront house for a week in June with another couple and loved everything about it! The house is beautifully equipped and has comfortable beds and quality linens. There are lovely ocean views from almost every room and comfortable outdoor seating areas to enjoy them from. There is also a private garden off the kitchen with a dining table and chairs, where we enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch. The surrounding area is beautiful and we had fun walking along the beachside looking at the spectacular houses. The location is very convenient and you can walk to the beach or into Carmel where there are unique shops and wonderful restaurants. Mission Ranch is also within walking distance and is a fun, iconic venue for a drink or dinner. At the end of the day it was perfect to return to the house and relax in the deep soaking bath tub! Everything was immaculate and surpassed our expectations!

LOVED Green Breakers!!

We had a wonderful stay at Green Breakers! The house is very comfortable and in a great location in Carmel right by the beach. The views are spectacular and we hardly wanted to leave the house! There's a pretty garden and a lovely table and chair set where you can relax in the back. The front of the house, with another seating area, features a world class view of Pt. Lobos, Monastery Beach and the Carmel Bay. We saw whales and dolphins regularly. It's an easy walk into Carmel or a very quick bike ride. It's a short walk to Carmel Beach. We also walked to Mission Ranch Inn for dinner. Judy Ivey did a wonderful job as the property manager making sure we had everything we needed. She was very responsive if we had a question or needed anything. The property is very clean and fresh. Everything is updated and worked perfectly. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of living space for a family or a group of guests. We loved it.
