The Altura Haus is a Pueblo Style Home in the heart of the Catalinas! This entertainer's house is fully equipped with everything you never need to leave.

This backyard is a paradise with a Private Salt Water Pool, multiple seating areas, corn hole board games, bbq grill & more! This home is gorgeous and has everything you could ask for. Large Living room to enjoy open living room/game room/dining area with pool table.

Spacious master suite! Includes double doors, double sinks and bath tub. Altura Haus is very well equipped with a 75" Samsung smart TV on the main living Room + Sorround Sound, a 65" Smart Samsung TV on the Master Bedroom and a 43" Samsung Smart TV for every other Room. The main living Room has cable TV with many Channels available.

Perfect for family trips, golf trips, guys trip, gals getaway, travel to a resort vacation at a home.

You can also take a day browsing at La Encantada Shopping center which is less than 10 minutes away. wonderful place to stay!

House was clean and had everything we needed and more - we enjoyed the firepit, the pool (pool can be heated by request), the outdoor covered seating area, the ping pong table, the corn hole game, and the view of the city lights. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, kitchen had everything we needed and more. Host was very responsive to questions and was extremely helpful and accommodating when we had to change our reservation length and VRBO was not giving us the appropriate refund. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice getaway in Catalina foothills

Pool is heated which was necessary for when we visited during our spring break (first week of April). Great location with grocery store 2 minutes away, and is a great staging area for sabino canyon, and is about equidistant to saguaro national parks east and west (30-45 minutes depending on where in the park).This is our second time at this property and couldn't recommend it more for a Tucson visit!

Excellent location for sabino canyon. Heated pool was great for the time of year we went (mid March) since it wasn't super hot out yet. This is a great place for families to stay and the hosts really put a lot of effort into making it a good place to stay. Would try to book this again if available.

Fun house with great location!

Loved the location, the ping pong, and the outdoor entertainment. If you want the pool warm be sure to ask for it to be heated. It was cold but refreshing! Enjoyed everything about it!

Highly Recommend!

Great property, great location and great communication! Our family has a wonderful time and really appreciated all the amenities the house had to offer. The young and old loved the pool table, ping pong, pool, fire pit and outside games. We very much enjoyed our week and would 100% stay here again!

Great Getaway

We loved the house, amenities and the area. Having the pool and activities to do at the house were a nice option to have and helped keep everyone entertained. The close proximity to the grocery store and Starbucks were an added bonus! A short 10 min drive for hiking was also nice. The house had everything we needed and then some. Would love to stay again sometime.

Beautiful home, neighborhood and surroundings

A great spot for our family retreat! Got to enjoy the many amenities this home offers. Spacious living areas and nice bedrooms as well. Outdoor spaces are so inviting and offered us so many ways to enjoy this home. Great communication with manager and we enjoyed every minute here. Great neighborhood with lots of shopping nearby, although our immediate area was totally residential and quiet. Million dollar views to boot! Terrific experience.

Great house in great location.

We stayed in this lovely home two years ago and again very much enjoyed our stay. A few things were showing wear and tear but overall the home is clean and comfortable with a lovely sunset sky view, quiet and near lots of good restaurants. Kitchen is well appointed but needs a new spray hose for the sink and manuals for appliances. Outdoor seating both at fire pit and patio was dirty and in disrepair. Our host was 250 miles away when we needed some assistance on entry. Still an overall very nice rental home.

Good Location and Clean

As a fellow vacation home owner, I understand that some things are out of the owner’s control, but I still had a hard time giving 5 stars. Ultimately, I decided on 4 stars because the pool heater was broken our entire two week stay (my kids were very disappointed since the water was freezing—weren’t offered any discount nor told before arrival even though we chose this place because of the heated pool), beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable (my back and neck hurt as do my husband’s), and the owner’s response time was slow (messaged for instructions on fire pit and didn’t get a response for 4 days then messaged about burnt out light bulbs and that took over 24 hours—I didn’t have the time to replace myself so lights still out when we left). Overall the home is in a good location with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. It was clean when we arrived and close to the locations we wanted (my sister and Sabino Canyon). I would recommend making adjustments to the beds (new pillows, mattress toppers) and being quicker on response time.

Great place and amenities

The location was really great and we enjoyed the pool table, ping pong and cornhole. The pool was lovely but we didn't use it. Plus we had lots of other activities we were doing. The house is beautiful with plenty of seating for our group. We spent Thanksgiving there and the photos didn't show a dining room table so I was unsure about the seating for dinner but there was a large dining table so no problem there. The house is very roomy with the 4 beds and 3 baths, plenty of room for us. The listing said each bedroom had a double futon but that wasn't the case. We hadn't planned on using any futons so it didn't matter to us but if anyone had planned to use one, better check on that. The outside firepit area is nice although we only used it once - too many other activities. I rated cleanliness as 4 stars only because the outside furniture cushions seemed to have a lot of dog hair on them. And one person said the downstairs bedroom comforter had dog hair as well. The location was very convenient to stores - we made several trips to the grocery store - and restaurants. It was a beautiful property, well set up and very enjoyable.

Excellent choice all around

I was holding a family reunion in Tucson where I live. I only had room for two at my home, so I needed a spot for eight more, six adults, one teenage girl, and one boy. Since I've lived here over 50 years, I know the city very well, and I wanted something with the amenities we've enjoyed in the past here and in other locations that was within a fifteen minute drive from my home. This one had it all: pool, pool/ping pong table, and a cornhole game that got the most use. I'm told that the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. Everyone thought it was a great place to stay. We didn't eat at any of the good restaurants nearby, though there are many, choosing instead to go to some of the lesser known but extremely good locations (try El Torero at Park & 26th if you want Mexican food unlike any you've probably had before). The Safeway is very close for basics and things you forgot, and it is their "flagship store" in Tucson so the selection is quite good, but go to AJs if you really want to buy some good meats and seafood, fine wines, or even sashimi and sushi. The house isn't close to Tucson's #1 attraction, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, but then again very few places are, and a few extra miles won't stop you. Go out via Speedway/Gates Pass and come back through Saguaro National Park West and Picture Rocks to enjoy some of the best local scenery. And a little side trip to San Xavier del Bac while you're so far out west is certainly worthwhile.

Beautiful home!

The house was clean and well kept! The outdoor space was perfect for our family of 10. We enjoyed countless hours in the pool and morning coffee by the fire pit. An FYI- there really isn’t enough sleeping space for 10 people. We had to makeshift beds for 2 of our grandchildren and there wasn’t enough bedding so we made do with what we could find. Overall, the house and the memories that we made were amazing! I recommend this house and would absolutely stay here again!

Fabulous Home - Poor Communication

This home should be 5-stars. However, communication (or lack of) with the property owner/manager was extremely frustrating and stressful. In the beginning, she was prompt and responsive when booking (6-months prior to my stay). I knew I would want to heat the pool for our March stay and they said they would reach out the week prior to our trip to discuss the additional fee and process for heating the pool. 72 hours before our check-in, I receive the standard VRBO email stating that our trip was coming up and if I haven’t received check-in instructions to reach out to the property owner/manager directly. In 10 years of booking on VRBO, I have never not had check-in instructions by this time. I was surprised and thought I had misplaced them. That was not the case. I immediately reached out to the property manager via VRBO email to request check-in instructions and coordinating heating the pool (and paying the additional fee). Nothing. 48 hours before our arrival, I reached out again. Nothing. 30 hours before our arrival (and flight), I reached out a 3rd time (calling the number provided in our reservation). Nothing. Finally, I called VRBO and explained my situation. VRBO called the same number and left a voicemail. 24 hours before our arrival, I finally receive an email from the property owner/manager with check-in instructions and pool instructions. There is no apology or even acknowledgement of the lack of communication. If providing check-in instructions 24 hours before arrival is the standard procedure for this property, I would think they should list that information somewhere in the property description. Waiting until the last minute to provide this information or at least any acknowledgement of my emails caused unnecessary stress. By this point, I was calling hotels and other properties to just make sure we would have a place to stay upon arriving in Tucson. Given it was Spring Break and Spring Training, my options were slim. Communication did not improve upon arrival either. I reached out to the property owner/manager at one point during our stay about an issue in the downstairs bathroom and to note the unresolved issues with the blinds and ice maker. Again, no response or acknowledgement. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in the lack of communication. As for the home…it’s beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and as previous reviewers have noted the property is fantastic. I just wish the communication were better.

Absolutely Delightful Stay!

We were in Tucson for my daughter’s wedding and needed a large place for family and friends, and also to serve as a home-base for the big week. This property was amazing and perfect for our needs. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were much larger and better than described. We all had room to spread out and there was so much to do: swim, pool, ping-pong, fire pit. All ages of our party (from 4 to 82) were very happy with everything. And the views from almost every room were beyond incredible! We do appreciate being able to have had a home away from home during our week in Tucson. We appreciate the host’s help and generosity in allowing us to stay here. Plan to always check this property’s availability first when we come to Tucson!
