Nearby you’ll find the Pōhara Store, local cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to pick up supplies or enjoy a meal out. The township of Tākaka is just a short drive away and provides supermarkets, galleries, shops, and additional dining options. The property is also well positioned for exploring the wider region, including Tata Beach, Wainui Bay, and the Abel Tasman National Park.

This long, sandy beach is known for its wide golden shoreline and calm, shallow waters at low tide, making it ideal for swimming, beach walks, kayaking, windsurfing, and boating. Pōhara has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and is a popular beach destination for both locals and visitors, offering the perfect setting to enjoy the laid-back lifestyle that Golden Bay is known for.

We supply fresh hotel-quality linen along with everyday basics such as coffee, tea, sugar, and milk. The studio is located on a shared property that also includes two other private studios. Each studio has its own separate entrance and outdoor area to ensure privacy, however you may see or hear other guests during your stay.
