We stayed there for my sons wedding weekend and it was perfect! The home is cozy and inviting and the space was perfect for my family. The owners were wonderful and we would definitely stay there again!
This property had everything we needed for our girls trip! From spices/cookware to extra blankets, pillows, and towels, there was nothing that was not thought of. We enjoyed the hot tub, scenic property, and fire pit. The host was very communicative and ensured everything was provided upon check in.
We spent 2 wonderful weeks at this cabin as our basecamp for an early spring hiking trip in Shenandoah Nat'l Park. Very private & quiet location, yet only 10 minutes to town & 15 minutes to the Swift Run entrance to Skyline Drive. Consists of the original cabin plus a new "couples suite". Great amenities including creek-side picnic area, new hot tub, fire pit, gas or charcoal BBQ, etc. Interior decor is reminiscent of an Alpine chalet. Owners are very helpful & responsive. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place to stay! So much to do in this VRBO! Loved hearing the water from the creek, wonderful fire pit with lights and sâmores, big projector for movies, hot tub after day hikes in Shenandoah, corn hole, tons of games and fun record player to listen to old music. Well appointed house with lovely decorations.
Located in a secluded area with a creek running through it, this place was perfect! The projector was really fun to use to watch movies at night. We sat by a fire on the creek. The hot tub was clean and lovely to use after a day hiking at the nearby Shenandoah NP. The home is well stocked, cozy and beautifully decorated. The addition had amazing views from the window to watch nature as you wake up. I would stay again! Thanks for having us!
Wonderful place for time with family and adventures!
This was a great to place to stay with our family. Lots of space, beautiful scenery, wonderful hiking trails at the National Park. Loved listening to the barred owls and whippoorwills in the screened in porch at night. We would highly recommend this place. Excellent communication with host as well.
I loved the home for our family trip with my husband and I, our 2 adult kids, 2 dogs and my parents. Having the private outbuilding was a nice way to remove the dogs from everyone at night to sleep with us.
The loft is not as usable as I would have liked. My son was supposed to sleep up there but his 6 foot self could barely get up the spiral stair case. Our much shorter daughter, 5'4" had to sleep with her feet hanging off the bed.
Also, It didn't occur to me when looking at the pics, but there is not a mountain view, but it is a beautiful wooded lot that is very private. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and we loved the screened in porch for all our meals.
I have a hard time figuring layouts from pictures, so here it is. Main house - king side bed, room with 2 twins, and loft that is only for young ones and 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry. The outbuilding, queen size bed, full bath, nespresso and small living room and the TV- didn't use it so no idea how that works.
Overall, love the house, had a great relaxing time and would do it again. Especially loved being able to bring the pups.
We had a marvelous time here, relaxing, listening to the birds, wading in the stream, hiking in nearby Shenandoah National Park, riding bikes provided by the host. The house is extremely well appointed, very pretty, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
We used this as home base for our stay to celebrate our JMU graduate. Comfortable and spacious. Would be a great location to get away and recharge. Wished we had more time to enjoy the natural surroundings. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had.
A beautiful place to stay for a quiet mini reunion! Great location! We had wonderful fall hikes in the Shenandoah Mountains! Plenty of space and the guest bedroom with a fire place and large windows were an extra bonus!
The cabin was the perfect location for a weekend reunion with our friends. It is secluded enough so you feel miles away from civilization but SNP and breweries are a short drive away. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well appointed. The screened in porch is the perfect place to unwind. We loved the decor and could tell a lot of thought went into the design. The sâmores welcome bag was a great surprise and we enjoyed them around the fire pit the night we arrived. Excellent communication with Alex! We look forward to staying here again!
This property is amazing. I cannot overstate enough how comfortable it was for my family and myself. The beds were very comfortable, the space clean and so so accommodating, like you can tell someone spends time there and cares about the space and what's available. We had a blast with the kayaks and the kitchen was incredible, the huge bean bag in the living room lent itself to many naps too. The outdoor space was perfect, not too many bugs, and we enjoyed most evenings outside playing games and hanging around the fire with our pups. I definitely plan to return to this rental and cannot wait for the day that can happen. We love this place!!
The large windows in the detached portion make you feel like you are in the outdoors. The cabin is otherwise beautifully decorated and comfortable! We would love to stay again!
