This quaint little cottage is located on the Bourbon Trail of Kentucky on a historic property. A mere 9 minutes from Six-Mile Distillery, it is also in close proximity to a gas station, grocery and library. Located in the heart of an Amish community, you will hear horses and buggies clip-clopping past as you sip your morning coffee. This cottage is on a functioning farm with horses, cats, goats and a donkey, with overnight housing facilities for your own equines as well. It has a queen sized bed and a twin sized futon that has a 3â memory foam topper for full comfort. It also has a tumble chair that will sleep a small adult. ***Our friends with service animals should be aware we have a livestock guardian for keeping our goats safe from coyotes. She takes her job seriously and cannot differentiate between a coyote or a service dog. We cannot guarantee the safety of your service animal should you choose to book this location.
Wonderful, friendly hosts. Very clean and well appointed cottage. I would, and probably will, stay here again. Beautiful, idyllic property.with a pond for fishing for bass.
My husband and I love this property and look forward to our stay when we visit family in the area. The host is welcoming and so lovely to visit with as well. I highly recommend this property.
The Little House Cottage was so inviting! Very clean and had all we needed. We had a great time relaxing on the farm, interacting with the animals, and visiting the bourbon trail.
Such a lovely cottage with everything we needed for our 3 day stay. The host was so friendly. The location was beautiful. The cat greeters were a plus.
This place was perfect for our cross country drive. We wanted to stay out of the bustling city and this was just that. The place was spacious and clean and lovely. And we were greeted by sweet Tobias, the kitty.
The cottage is just perfectly set up for all your needs. Very clean and efficient. Extremely homey and comfortable. It a little paradise to escape to or a very pleasant stay while youâre away. The family is most accommodating and the grounds are beautiful. Highly recommend for a great place to stay while away.
This was an excellent choice for our visit to Kentucky. The cottage is adorable, cozy, clean and very functional, stocked with so much. Although itâs on a working farm, it was quiet and relaxing. We sat by the pond and visited the animals.
Close enough to Frankfort, other smaller towns, even several distilleries but far enough to enjoy the quiet. Loved driving on road through scenic small farms & countryside. The friendly family that is host, offers a well-equipped, comfortable cottage that uses its space efficiently. We didn't have time to enjoy the entire property as fully as we'd have liked to on this visit.
We were looking for a quiet setting as a home base for a few motorcycle rides around the Kentucky countryside and this location was perfect. We were traveling with a dually truck and 14' cargo trailer and we had lots of room to park. The cottage was very clean and had all the necessities required. We would definately stay again!
Very quiet, relaxing stay. Tracy and Ricco were very hospitable and attentive to any questions I had. The house is quaint and clean. An animal lover myself, I enjoyed a farm tour with their talented horse-trainer daughter and visiting with all of the animals. Merlin (one of the barn cats) even came up to me for a couple of pats and scratches. Apparently this is a red letter day as he is quite elusive. Thank you Tracy and Ricco!
BEST welcome committee EVER!!! đđââŹđđđââŹ
First off...my husband thought I was crazy when he found my secret stash of cat treats I had packed for our road trip from Wisconsin! It all made sense when we pulled up to the door...and out they came, and kept coming and coming... the wonderful cats! So welcoming they and their humans were! Even the donkey and goats! This was truly a great experience and we even looked forward to getting back to the VRBO to relax and visit our new friends! This place had it all and it was immediately obvious that they care and had everything one could need. We will be back again!!
Perfect location for me and my husband. Beautiful country and close to family. The cottage is the perfect size for us, has everything that we need for a week's visit and is so cute and comfortable. Plus, any questions or needs are addressed very quickly by the hos and she is so friendly.
We come to Kentucky annually for my husbands birthday and 3 years ago we found this little gem. At One Goat Farm we are able to step away from the hustle and bustle and relax. I am an animal lover so the cats and goats are an added bonus. I could hang out on the farm all weekend if my husband would allow me to. Lol
Tracy and Ricco are excellent hosts. We look forward to booking again next year and we plan to stay a little longer.
I donât even know where to start! This was a diamond in the rough! Everything was as described and shown in pictures. If you love animals, this is your spot! There are about 15 barn cats on the grounds who are obviously loved and cared for. All of the babies were so sweet and cuddly! I would say that these kitties were my 11yoâs favorite part of our trip! The goats, kids, horses and other animals on the farm, there was plenty of âoohhhs and ahhhhsâ. The outdoor seating area was lovely and would make for a great fire pit evening overlooking the pond. The inside was clean with lovely art all around. The kitchen has great bonuses like coffee with cream and sugar and oatmeal! We didnât utilize the kitchen but it looked well appointed. The bed was SO SOFT and the sheet and blankets were so cozy! The couch doubling as a bed was creat for my daughter. The hot water is HOT which is great but be careful because it does heat up faster than you may expect. We really loved the old records - we danced a lot on our first night. The games proved useful last night when my daughter and I werenât quite ready to sleep but werenât sure what to do. We played the pickle game for at least an hour and she asked if we could get it at home. Itâs a great mind bender and hilarious as well. By the time it was time to go, my daughter was already asking when we would be back. <3 Your spot added a core memory for us all. Thank you!
This Pleasureville property is exactly what - A Pleasure!! The cottage is a quaint place of peace & Tracy is an excellent host, making sure her guest are comfortable. If a quiet, clean, comfortable place in the country is what you're looking for then you won't be disappointed!
We breed, raise and show Myotonic (fainting) goats. We enjoy sharing the peace of the farm with our guests. Guests are welcome to wander the mown farm trail and fish in the pond!
The cottage is cozy, boasting a tiny washer and dryer as well as mini stove and fridge. The queen sized bed has a comfortable 3â foam topper. There are some basic spices and seasonings as well as coffee, tea and instant oatmeal. There is a pack and play, a travel high chair and childrenâs toys. There is a fun record player and records to enjoy. Animals abound as well as some decent fishing in the stocked pond.
