First want to say that the house was perfect for what we needed. However, we were unable to check in on time because we couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone, messages or emails. This meant we couldn’t get the code to get in. We ended up having to call Expedia and even they said they couldn’t reach them. We were fixing to cancel when we suddenly received a call back.
When we finally got in the fire alarm was going off. No big deal, we can take out/replace a battery. However when we got up there we realized it was wired into the house so we couldn’t just remove the battery. We tried calling again and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. We text the number we had and no answer. Luckily no one would be staying in that bedroom the first night so we used towels to seal the door off. And tried calling them again first thing the next morning. Finally got a call back and was told they would get maintenance out but it would not be until after 8pm!
Most houses we have stayed at have basic things the house will need, like trash bags, dishwasher pods, extra toilet paper, paper towels etc. we had to buy all these things.
The upstairs bed didn’t have blankets or bed pillows. The lamps did not have any bulbs.
All of this would have been fine had we not already had such a hard time trying to get ahold of anyone! It is a beautiful house but I definitely think it could be managed better.
