The Space:

Welcome to Swans Shorehouse, an original 1960s beach shack filled with character, charm and plenty of holiday memories waiting to be made.



Set right on the riverfront at Goolwa South, between Café Bombora and the family-friendly Adventure Playground, this is the kind of place made for slow mornings, afternoons on the water and evenings around the fire.



The home has a simple and comfortable layout with three bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 – Queen bed

Bedroom 2 – Queen bed

Bedroom 3 – Tri-bunk with double bed below and single above

There are two bathrooms, with the second shower and toilet located in the laundry for added convenience.



Outside is where this shack really shines. Enjoy the expansive balcony, gather around the fire pit after a day on the river, or make the most of the space with a boat, kayaks or fishing gear. There is room to park a boat and caravans up to approximately 24ft.



Inside, the retro shack character has been kept intact, with Wi-Fi, reverse-cycle heating and cooling, and a practical kitchen with the basics you need for holiday cooking. A BBQ is also available for easy outdoor meals.



Swans Shorehouse is a laid-back Goolwa escape for families, fishing trips and anyone who loves the simple pleasures of a classic coastal shack.



The Neighborhood:

Swans Shorehouse puts you right on the riverfront at Goolwa South, with some of Goolwa’s favourite spots just moments away.



From here, you can:

• Walk to Café Bombora for coffee, breakfast or a casual meal by the water.

• Let the kids burn off energy at the Adventure Playground just steps from the house.

• Launch the boat, kayak or paddleboard straight from the nearby boat ramp.

• Spend the day at Goolwa Beach swimming, surfing or exploring the coastline.

• Wander through the historic Goolwa Wharf precinct, home to weekend markets, SteamRanger heritage train rides and river cruises.

• Visit the Goolwa Barrage and Hindmarsh Island for birdwatching and beautiful wetland scenery.

• Enjoy local dining at Hector’s on the Wharf, the Aquacaf, or explore the region’s wineries and local produce.

*Please note that this is a very strictly non smoking and vaping property both inside and outside. Non compliance with this will result in fines of $250.

No parties, no schoolies.

Must be 25 years of age to book.

Two well behaved non shedding or outside dog's may be considered. Please request. A $75 pet fee will apply.



Our properties are fully self-contained and we supply starter provisions consisting of laundry powder, dish liquid, dishwasher tablets, a dish cloth, bin liners, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, as well as bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap). A spare roll of toilet paper is provided per toilet. Please note that these complimentary provisions are supplied to get you started for your holiday and are not replenished during your stay. We provide bathroom linen for the number of guests included in your booking only. Please bring your own beach towels. Bathroom linen is strictly not to be used for the beach.



A 25% deposit is required upon booking confirmation. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your stay. Cancellations made during the refundable period will receive a refund of all payments made, less a $30 cancellation fee.



A pre-check-in form must be completed before arrival, which includes submitting a valid ID, a selfie, and agreeing to our terms and conditions. Pricing reflects standard occupancy and associated household use. Accurate guest numbers must be confirmed prior to arrival to ensure the home is prepared and serviced accordingly.
