Welcome to our centrally-located, child-friendly home, a sancturary designed for the entire family! Nestled in the heart of the city, this place offers easy access to the best of outdoor adventures. Our true gem, however, is the beautiful garden.
Stayed for a few days. Accommodation was perfect. Spacious and clean. Quiet and peaceful. We wouldnât stay anywhere else if we were to visit to Gibsons again. Thanks for the brilliant stay.
A wonderful spot. Clean, comfortable beds, kitchen equipped with everything we needed and more. The patio with the view of the harbour and islands is simply spectacular. The outdoor gas fireplace makes it perfect. Immaculately decorated with interesting pieces both inside and out. Highly recemmended.
The place is beautiful, comfy, clean and organized, both inside and outside. It is the best we have ever stayed away from home. Beds are of high quality, as well as all the appliances. Elena is a great host, reaching out to us from time to time, very responsive to our need. We don't mind exchanging a few texts with her as we felt connected that way. There are tons of books and many beautiful blankets in addition to all the art decor. Reading one of the books wrapped in one of the blankets was my favorite thing in the evenings. The air conditioning works super good, almost too cold at one point for us - Elena responded to our need right away. Internet and netflix/TV worked very well, dad and kids glued to the screen whenever they could. Kitchen is well stocked, organized and certainly met our need. We were pleasantly surprised by the milk, cream, apple and some nice sweets Elena prepared ahead for us. The cottage is located on a hill a short distance up from Gibson's port. Seniors would need a car to move around.
From the outdoor plants that created a beautiful layer of privacy when sitting with a morning coffee, to the art/artifacts/books from countries all over the world, this place was a dream.
It was also a 10 min walk/2 min drive to the quaint main strip of Gibsons, where you can enjoy art galleries, boutique shops and coffee shops-not to mention watching for seals on the pier!
It was wonderful and Iâd recommend it to any young and/or mature people. I just wouldnât bring small children simply because Iâd be nervous theyâd break any of the beautiful pieces that bring the place to life.
We had a brilliant stay at Elenaâs. The place was immaculately clean and very well provisioned (tea, coffee, lots of kitchen appliances). Itâs a short walk (with a hill) to the shops and restaurants in Gibsons. We had some issues with hot water but Elena was very quick to try and get it resolved. Thank you for a great stay!
Ideally located, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Minutes drive to great hiking trails. Beautiful home, well appointed, top notch appliances. Elena is a gracious host who has thought of every detail. We' loved our stay and won't hesitate to book again on our next trip to Gibsons.. Thank you Elena!
Lovely ground floor of house with everything you need for your stay including new kitchen and laundry. Beautiful view of downtown and harbour. Host was very helpful and everything went absolutely smoothly.
A beautiful 2-bedroom suite with large living room in heart of Gibsons. Almost new and super comfortable with everything provided that one would need for a stay in Gibsons area. Great patio for lounging with amazing view of harbour. Elena was a wonderful host and stayed in touch before and during stay. Highly recommended.
Elena was super helpful and always available for communication which was great! We were also able to check-in early which was highly appreciated. The property is an eclectic mix of art and style which I really enjoyed. There is no proper kitchen but there are all the extra appliances which means you don't really need one. The front porch and fire pit are awesome and the beds super comfy. We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely place to stay. Highly recommend, especially the. use from the terrace. Close to town.
Perfect for us with our adult daughter. Lounged on the terrace and enjoyed the view. Walked and/or drove down the steep hill to restaurants and shops in Gibsons. The unit is well equipped and Elena communicated very promptly with any instructions or questions. Had a great time!
The place is beautiful, but impractical:
âą there is no kitchen and no kitchen area
âą not even a simple sink to rinse a coffee pot (unless you want to do it in a pompous granite bathroom): all your dishes you have to collect and pass to the owner every day
âą very bad internet connection (drops every two minutes)
The owner is an unfriendly paranoid woman who is constantly worried about her suite:
âą she texts you her instructions several times a day hysterically demanding answers while you are on the beach, just having your vacation
âą she sits upstairs and nervously listens to whatâs going on in the suite, running out to her balcony to control and reprimand you for whatever noise you make
Her original description said âKids are welcomeâ. We discussed it with her (!) and then came with kids. I thought she would get a heart attack listening to the kidsâ noise.
The bottom line is: we left no mess, no damage, gave her extra money for the kids; and now, two weeks later she left us a review 1/5 for EVERY criteria, just out of spite.
I have never experienced an owner like that. Nasty, nasty business.
If you are retired, ready to eat all your meals out, donât need the Internet, and are not bothered with being closely watched, this place may work for you: it is beautiful after all. Good luck.
the house has a beautiful garden with a lovely view. the host has prepared the home with so much care and beauty. We loved the decor and the books, among other things
