Fantastic weekend at this cute hideout on the Sunshine Coast. Lots of room and loved the roaming cats, dog and chickens and Rebecca's sourdough bread to start the day! Would definitely rebook.
We had a lovely time on the coast in part thanks to our comfortable and adorable place to stay here. The house is well stocked and very clean. We even had use of a barbecue and got a garden tour!
Thanks to Rebecca who was a wonderful host and who helped make our stay enjoyable! We loved the location, the fresh flowers, privacy, rustic charm, and fresh farm eggs! We would definitely come back:)
A beautiful cottage, understated elegance. King bed with high quality linens. The food left for us.. homemade bread and granola, fresh eggs from their own chickens so delicious. The owners couldnât be nicer. Highly recommend.
Just an incredible stay! It's a cozy and inviting space that was beautifully prepared. Every detail was thoughtfully laid out - flowers, fresh bread and eggs, and even basic groceries which we completely did not expect! There were also toys and games which our son was ridiculously happy about.Rebecca went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and she took the time to share info about local gems for us to see. Her hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, and it was reflected in every part of our stay. If we head back that way again I know where we'll be staying :)
We really enjoyed our stay here! Itâs perfect for a long weekend, regardless of the weather. It has everything you need for a unforgettable stay at the Sunshine Coast.
Wonderful stay in this cute cottage! Rebecca was so generous and kind upon arrival - delicious breakfast items were provided too! Perfect location if you want to explore along the lower coast. A great experience!
For her birthday my wife wanted to walk by the ocean and in the forest. In planning, we looked at a lot of options and settled on Rebeccaâs. It was perfect for our expectations. Upon our arrival the cottage included a fully loaded breakfast box, with fresh baked sourdough bread, granola, coffee beans and a basket containing fresh eggs, provided by the friendly chickens located around the corner. The location was perfect. Close to beaches and many beautiful rainforest trails. Gibbons, about 10 minutes away, is a beautiful small town with interesting shops and a number of very good restaurants. Rebecca and family were excellent hosts, respectful of our privacy but very welcoming and helpful. She has a beautiful yard and is happy, upon request, to provide a garden tour. Excellent location, perfect hosts and very comfortable accommodations, highly recommended!
Lovely quiet spot to stay, friendly property owners and friendly animals too! Bonus fresh eggs and bread and butter left for us and Rebecca had thoughtfully put up a âHappy Birthdayâ sign inside. Very clean and had carefully written instructions on getting there and how everything worked. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our stay at the charming cottage in the trees. The fresh eggs, yogurt, bread etc. was appreciated. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Thank you!
The cabin was very cute and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with all the basic necessities. Rebecca was readily available to answer our questions and the farm fresh eggs were also delicious.
The property was delightful! It was comfortable and quiet while being artfully beautiful. We also enjoyed the delicious homegrown eggs and the wonderful bread and condiments left for us by our hosts. And for us the location was perfect! We were able to enjoy Roberts Creek and to visit our friends who live nearby.
Great little place with perfect location. Host is generous and great at communicating with you. Host is always ready to give recommendations and answers promply whenever we had questions. Lots of kids toys and books as well as a few books to interest the adults.
We had a wonderful relaxing vacation!! The cottage is warm and cozy, perfect location for everything, walk to the beach, drive to Smugglers Cove. Had coffee and pear tarts everyday at the Gumboot Cafe! Thank you for the extra treats for when we arrived, especially loved the eggs from your chickens.
Thank you so much!!
Rebeccaâs place is unique, comfortable, and extremely peaceful. We were welcomed with fresh eggs laid by the hens on the property, a loaf of bread, granola, yogurt, fresh jam, milk, cream, and OJ. She was also very helpful in directing us with things to do such as hiking and restaurants to try out. Would highly recommend!
My family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this adorable cottage. It was emasculate and charming. My 2 year old loved the chickens and the garden in the private fenced in backyard. Rebecca is a lovely host. Thank you for having us and for your recommendations.
We enjoyed our time at The Sleepout so much! It was a perfect home away from home! We had everything we needed to have a wonderful and relaxing week. The breakfast basket was such a personal touch! We loved the private backyard and the beach access! Rebecca was so approachable and lovely! We enjoyed lots of hikes at Cliff Gilker Park and coffee and fresh baked goodies at The Gumboot Cafe! We will definitely be back!
The Sunshine Coast never disappoints & neither did our beautiful cabin! It was clean, quiet, private & even the little details were thought of. Beach towels rolled & ready, flowers bouquets in every room & fresh eggs from the resident chickens. The outside sitting area was private & peaceful surrounded by the garden with fruit trees & flowers. We will definitely be back!
Easy to locate and overall location is ok. Friendly, responsive owners. Pretty rustic. Absolutely zero view. House lacks closets and cupboards. If you are planning a lengthy stay you will be disappointed as there is little room for grocery storage or clothes hanging. Cleanliness is below par (cobwebs, dusty, appliances not totally clean). We were two guys there for golf so it worked for us, but many would be unhappy. Overpriced for what we got in my opinion.
My husband Gordon, two-year-old daughter Ella and myself moved to the Sunshine Coast from Toronto 14 years ago. It was a huge leap but we've never looked back, as the Coast lifestyle suits us to a tee. We could never of imagined that we would still be living here but now with a 18-year-old daughter, 13-year-old son, 5-year-old son, an Irish Wolfhound pup named Oona, a flock of chickens and a garden full of vegetables & fruits.
We fell in love with our heritage home, the minute we walked onto the property. Roberts Creek has a charm all of its own and is absolutely unbeatable in the summertime, especially. Our heritage home is an unusual find for the Sunshine Coast, and it reminds me of the heritage home that I grew up in, in Ontario.
We provide a delicious breakfast box which includes fresh eggs from our own hens, bread, jam, butter, orange juice, milk, cream, yogurt, homemade granola, coffee & teas. Our cottage is also located in a private & quiet location on our property surrounded by gardens & our cottage is close walking proximity to the ocean.
