Great 2-person cottage. With in walking distance of downtown but still felt private. Nice new deck and sitting area and the bed was super comfy. Would definitely recommend!

Great little cottage close to town. Extremely clean and the outdoor deck is elite. The hosts were fantastic and very responsive. Going to definitely stay here again.

Great Place!!

What a GREAT place to stay, cozy cottage with excellent location. The bedding, mattress, pillows and towels were top notch. SOOO comfortable. The place was clean and bright perfect for my daughter and I. The cabin had all the kitchen and bath items you will need. We took our bikes on the Heritage Trail into Glen Arbor. Of coarse Frankfort is a favorite location with the beach, restaurants and all the shops. Looking forward to coming back when we can. Mike was so accommodating when I had to change my dates due to family emergency. He was always there for anything we needed. What a great guy!!

Mike absolutely loved working with you, especially when you needed to shift your dates due to the family emergency. And we love that the location set you up for adventures—the Heritage Trail into Glen Arbor, Frankfort's beach and restaurants, all those shops. That's really what this place is all about. Nice place!!!

Nice little cabin. Very clean and accommodating. Frankfort is a nice little town with great shops and restaurants. I highly recommend booking this cabin and will stay there again.

Perfect Friends Getaway!

I rented this property for a friend who took proposal pictures for my fiancé and I. Her and her boyfriend loved the place and said they’d definitely stay there again. Owner was very nice and checked in on them. Highly recommend!

Frankfort in late summer

Nice, clean place. Walk to grocery store, shops and restaurants, short drive to hikes, Platte River canoeing, St Ambrose meadery. Host was very responsive, and proactive, texting to make sure all was good. Great visit!

Ideal location easy to walk to town and beach. The cottage was clean and charming. Everything you need for a weekend away. Excellent communication with the host. Backyard was private and well stocked with firewood for Solo stove. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time at the cottage for a much needed weekend. The cottage is beautiful and we appreciated the hospitality and accommodating Mike was and the attention to detail his wife had. Very happy with our weekend!

Lovely cute small cottage with new or nearly new remodel of everything, spacious new outdoor deck with comfortable outdoor furniture. Bed was very comfortable but small (double? Full?). TV was roku, we had a bit of trouble getting it set up but owner was immediately responsive and helpful. Kitchen small but efficient, half size refrigerator. Couch very cozy, bedding and linens first class. Quiet location several blocks from beach and center of town, walkable but there is a hill. We arrived on a very hot day, the air conditioning was appreciated! We planned to cycle around the lake and the Betsie Valley Trail but smoke rolled in from Canada the next day, worst ever, and we could not cycle. Lots of alternatives made the trip well worthwhile: Oliver Art Center, Crystal Gardens Antique and garden Center (crazy place don't miss it!!!), wonderful fun shopping downtown, Point Betsie Lighthouse, Frankfort beach and pier, Unearthed LLC in Beulah and the other cute shops there. Ice cream everywhere.

We appreciate you noting the efficient design—every inch counts in a small space, and it sounds like you understood what we were going for. We're grateful Mike could jump on the Roku setup quickly. And while the smoke from Canada wasn't something any of us could control, we love that you pivoted and discovered so much: the Oliver Art Center, Crystal Gardens (it really is a wild place!), Point Betsie, and all those downtown shops and ice cream spots. That's the spirit of what Frankfort is all about—there's always something to explore. The bed (it is a full) and the hill on the walk to town are real considerations for future guests, and we appreciate you being honest about both. Thanks for making the best of your stay and for sharing all those great recommendations. We hope you'll be back!

A Perfect Stay

I cannot recommend Mike's property highly enough. For two people who want to focus on time outdoors while having a place-that-feels-like-home, this is absolutely perfect. The thing that really shines through in this property is the focus on the details. We have all been in VRBOs or BNBs that feel thrown together with a disappointing/ inconvenient lack of necessities for a truly comfortable stay. The hosts and owners have gone above and beyond in considering and providing necessities (and luxuries) that are the cherry-on-top for travelers. From a well-equipped kitchen that allowed us to easily cook from home, to an outdoor box with firewood, kindling, chair cushions, and a rag to wipe them down if they're wet; everything is well thought out and clearly focuses on a comfortable and welcoming stay. While the space is compact, my partner and I were able to fully unpack each of our carry-ons and one oversized piece of luggage. This speaks to the thoughtful design of the space. Truly, every inch has a purpose. Finally, the thought the hosts put into giving this property privacy/separation was outstanding. We had our own driveway, parking, and a fence that made it feel like we had our own front yard.I have already told Mike that we will be back; my only hesitation in writing such a positive review is hoping that it won't be booked next time we want to come!
