Important Notes
Private Management This condo is privately managed and not affiliated with the resort. Guests do not have access to resort amenities. A paid laundry facility is available on the ground level.
Beach Gear Beach chairs and umbrellas are not included. Instead, your stay includes a VayKLife credit for beach essentials such as chairs, umbrellas, coolers, wagons, and more. Delivery is included. On-site availability cannot be guaranteed. Your booking confirmation includes a link to redeem your credit.
Elevator Notice Building 3100 elevator is not running and will not be running for some time due to repairs.

The pool was perfect. We had it to ourselves quite a bit. It was quite hot inside at times especially upstairs. The elevator was broken which was a workout. We very much enjoyed the place and the beach was perfect.

The unit was clean and comfortable. No blinds or curtains made it almost impossible to sleep in but nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. As far as south seas resort, it’s nowhere near what it used to be!

Cons: Villa is on the 4th floor w/ NO working elevator. There were no blinds for the large window that faces both the living room (with the pull out couch) & the primary bedroom, despite being assured by the host that they were installed when I booked/messaged the host to check about this months ago. The primary bedroom has no privacy because it overlooks the living room/dining area and outdoor balcony, and it is very bright during the morning. The window to the second bedroom doesn't lock, so can be opened easily by anyone from the hall outside the unit. Unclear directions about where to put our trash, we were unable to find the dumpsters "in the back", a resident showed us them in a locked area on the ground floor of the building that we later couldn't access. The shower heads in the showers are cheap/old/moldy/low quality, and the first floor shower head has very poor water pressure. The water heater for the villa is TINY and runs out of hot water very quickly. When our family needed to shower, everyone was limited to 1-2 minute showers for everyone to have warm water. The light/fan on the balcony did not seem to work. A spare set of sheets in the villa would have been helpful when one of my children got sick during the night and I had to strip their bed and wash their sheets - I covered the bed in towels while they slept and I did the laundry. Pros: Captiva Island is beautiful. The villa is a short walk to Beach. Access to pool. Well-furnished, nice decor in villa.

However, I am sincerely sorry to hear about the significant challenges you faced during your stay. This is certainly not the experience we want for our guests.
I want to address your concerns directly:
Elevator and Blinds: I understand how frustrating a fourth-floor walk-up is, and I apologize for the misinformation regarding the blinds. We are following up with the building association regarding the elevator and have expedited the window treatment installation to ensure privacy for the primary bedroom.
Maintenance and Security: The security of our guests is a top priority. I have dispatched a team to repair the bedroom window lock immediately and to replace the shower heads. We are also inspecting the balcony fan and light.
Hot Water and Supplies: We are evaluating the water heater capacity to better accommodate families. Regarding the linens, we usually keep spares in a locked owner's closet, but we hear you—having an extra set accessible for emergencies like yours makes sense, and we will look into providing that.
Trash Access: I apologize for the confusion. We are updating our guest guide with clearer photos and access instructions for the disposal area.
We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention so we can fix them. We hope to have the chance to provide you with a much improved and seamless stay in the future.

The check in process was by email on my phone with no written directions in the unit regarding the function of the television, wifi etc. The key code did not work properly. I called and was told to keep trying it. I finally got into the unit after 10 attempts. This was 9-20-25. On 9-21-25 I was locked out and again had try 10 attempts. I finally left the unit unlocked for the remainder of the week. The right side burners did not work on the stove/oven. When it was repaired, the oven and stove did not work at all and was repaired again late in the evening forcing my brother and I to abandon cooking food and drive to eat on the island incurring additional expense. The water was shut off to the unit for most of the day on 9-23-25. I called and never got a return call. the parking lot was blocked off for 3 days 9-24 through 9-27 for utility and surface spaying forcing me to carry items 2 buildings over. The elevator would not open or close properly and I did not use it due to concerns of being stuck. We had to demand bowls to eat that took 2 days and multiple phone calls to obtain. the unit smelled moldy as if it had not been opened and aired out. Finally the pool was closed. I will also share these concerns with Dream vacation rentals. My brother and I were the only 2 that stayed in the unit both of us in our early 60's. I would not recommend to a family it would be very inconvenient with all of the issues I have mentioned

We sincerely apologize for the unacceptable experience you had during your stay from September 20th to 27th, 2025. As Dream Vacation Rentals, we are deeply concerned by the extensive issues you and your brother endured. We failed to provide the smooth, relaxing vacation you deserved.
We are truly sorry for the critical failures:
• Access & Safety: The recurring key code malfunctions and lockouts were unacceptable and led to a serious safety concern (leaving the unit unlocked).
• Appliance Failure: The stove/oven issues, followed by a total failure, are egregious. We regret this forced you to incur additional expense for dining out.
• Service & Inconvenience: We apologize for the all-day water shut-off with no return call, the major inconvenience of the parking lot closure, the delay in providing basic bowls, and the concerns with the elevator and reported moldy smell.
We are taking immediate and corrective action:
1. Safety & Operations: We are overhauling the key code system and implementing clear, printed in-unit directions (Wi-Fi, TV).
2. Unit Repair: The stove/oven is being professionally inspected/replaced, and the unit is being treated for the odor.
3. Building Issues: The elevator and pool closure concerns are being escalated to building management for prompt resolution.
We deeply regret that your stay fell so far below our standard. We appreciate you bringing these serious concerns to our attention and welcome the opportunity to discuss this further to make amends.

Was a beautiful property. Enjoyed our stay. The only negative things I can say about my stay was the elevator was out of service for our entire stay. If you are unable to navigate stairs this unit is on the third floor and unpacking and packing up and down the stairs may be a problem. The second negative thing was the lack of blinds/window coverings over the sliding doors and the LARGE window above. Since the primary bedroom is upstairs in a loft situation it directly overlooks the living room and the doors and window. Would have been nice to have a little more privacy and light blockage for mornings I wanted to sleep in a little later.
