Welcome to The Plant at Kyle, a truly one-of-a-kind vacation home and event space where architectural brilliance meets Texas Hill Country charm. Tucked away in a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood in Kyle, Texas, this award-winning property invites you to slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect—with nature, with loved ones, and with your sense of wonder. Whether you're planning a relaxing getaway, an intimate wedding, or a milestone celebration, The Plant at Kyle offers the perfect setting.
Originally designed by the renowned Lake|Flato Architects, this iconic home features modern industrial design infused with warm Hill Country flair. With its dramatic lines, intentional decor, and eco-conscious layout, it’s no surprise The Plant is a member of the prestigious Iconic Houses Network and a recipient of the Texas Society of Architects’ “25-Year Award.” But this isn’t just a house you’ll admire—it’s a place to live in and fall in love with.
The main home includes three thoughtfully designed bedrooms and three unique bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 10 guests. The upstairs master suite is filled with natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, and features a king-sized bed, twin bunk beds, and bold, colorful decor. The ensuite bathroom is a serene escape with a soaking tub, double vanity, and walk-in shower overlooking the treetops.
In the upstairs annex, Bedroom 2 offers a cozy queen bed, a charming rocking chair, and a private TV/DVD setup. Just outside, the upper-level porch with a daybed swing and seating area is perfect for slow mornings or golden hour lounging. The attached ensuite bathroom includes a spacious vanity and deep tub/shower combo—ideal for soaking, though the high step-in may be best suited for agile guests.
Bedroom 3, located on the ground floor of the annex, includes two queen beds and easy access to the home’s most industrial-style bathroom, which features a wet room shower and a distinct ship-like design. The blend of concrete and metal throughout creates a truly unique aesthetic that reflects the property's architectural roots.
The kitchen is a dream for foodies and entertainers alike. Outfitted with a commercial-grade gas range, stainless steel counters, a butcher block island, and enough dishware for events up to 50 guests (event fees apply), it’s built to handle everything from weekend brunch to special occasions. A large elm dining table seats 10, and the great room beyond invites guests to unwind by the limestone fireplace in plush leather seating.
And then there’s the porch—the crown jewel of the property. Dubbed “the world’s largest screened-in porch,” it offers space to dine, lounge, and gather no matter the season. Enjoy firepit chats in the rocking chairs, feast at long communal tables, or simply watch the breeze roll through the oaks.
Outdoors, a steel-shaded linear pool offers the perfect cool-off after a warm Texas afternoon. Lounge poolside or find your favorite tree to nap under in a hammock. A short walking trail winds through native landscapes to a custom art installation created for the 2024 solar eclipse, adding a touch of magic to every visit.

Please note: Events are defined as any gathering larger than the home’s overnight occupancy, with a maximum of 50 guests. Additional fees and guidelines apply for all events.

No parties or day guests are allowed
No shooting of any kind is allowed on the property
No outdoor fires are allowed unless there is a designated fire pit and there is not a burn ban in effect.
2 Dogs maximum under 35 pounds each allowed for an additional fee of $25 per dog per night.
