Log cabin originally built in the 1800s in Jackson County Kentucky and more recently moved to the Lake Cumberland area and updated with modern conveniences. Comfortably sleeps 2-4 with queen size bed and full size sofa bed. There is also a couch/futon upstairs. One and a half bathrooms, kitchen, gas grill, fire pit and boat parking. Close to multiple marinas and boat ramps all in a quiet area. Great place to relax after spending the day on the lake.

Very easy check-in and great communication with the host. The cabin had a lot of atmosphere and it was very quiet and relaxing. For a small kitchen, it had everything you might need. We liked Sorentoâs Bar &Grill so much we ate there twice! Come and stay, relax and watch the deer.
We had an excellent stay. The owner went above and beyond in her hospitality. This was the best rental experience that we have had. The property is beautiful and there is an abundance of wildlife to see. Would love to stay there again.
Being on a private estate property made it so much more enjoyable. The surroundings were full of beautiful greenery and wildlife. It was the unwind from the grind we were looking for. Jennifer was a top shelf host!! We did not want or need for anything. Thank you!
Great place to sit back and enjoy peace and quiet!! The host is very accommodating and thoughtful regarding for such as me...first time "user" of Vrbo. I was thoroughly pleased with my time spent.
We enjoyed our stay! The hosts were wonderful and did so many little things to make the cabin welcoming! This trip was a much needed retreat for 2 very overstressed parents. Plus our dogs enjoyed the wide open space to run. We are so glad we chose this cabin!
My wife and I were so glad we found this super cool cabin. Itâs great that itâs being maintained and available! The back screened-in porch is wonderful. On our second night, the forest was alive with lots of sounds. The kitchen was very well stock, the cabin was cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and it was nice having the full bath in the loft. Owners are great, and Iâd stay here again.
So well done. Visually, so many lovely things to see, the house inside and out is so very historic and beautiful. The hosts have everything organized, neat, clean, and fixed so that you can have a relaxing time. It was so quiet, we relaxed right away, listening to the walnuts drop off the trees in the back. That back porch is perfect. Hosts helped a lot with our questions, and it was very memorable and maybe my favorite of any rentals we've had.
This is a wonderful property! Good location and great hosts! Secluded, but not too far from many beautiful parks and waterfalls. Most within about a 60 minute drive. We really enjoyed the large yard with fire pit âŠperfect for the cool Fall evenings! Our Dalmatian Winston loved being able to run and play with his ball and frisbee. Cabin is small, but offers great spaces in both the main and upper levels. Loved having 2 bathrooms! Thank you Jennifer and Mark for taking such good care of us during our visit!
We loved this property! The history of the cabin was so cool. We really enjoyed the screened in back porch. Communication with the owner was prompt and friendly. We will definitely be back!
We were looking for an experience type stay and this home and property far exceeded our expectations. The first 15 minutes we took turns oohing and awing over the meticulously manicured lawn, the cabin - both inside and out, the furnishings, and the thoughtfulness of the host to even include delicious local baked goods.
We wanted for absolutely nothing. When I say the host truly thought of everything, I mean it. There were even mason jars for kids to catch lightning bugs, aka, fireflies. Thatâs next level attention to detail.
We are in our 50âs and 60âs and had no trouble navigating the steep staircase to the bedroom, but if you experience knee or hip ailments, you may want to use the sofa bed on the first level. Our adult son used and slept well both nights.
If you have the opportunity to stay at this cabin you will not regret it! I mean, where else can you stay in a 5-star 1800âs log cabin?
While the cabin is old, the inside is very modern. In fact, this is one of the most up-to-date cabins I have rented. I was very impressed with how clean it was. Outdoor space is great and the lake access is easy (best for kayaks). Top of my list! P.S. Check for ticks in season.
This was an amazing cabin . Had everything you need and then some. Not far from the water but still secluded. We will definitely be staying in the future. Highly recommend staying in this real 1800s log cabin.
Fantastic property, great host. Everything we needed was there. We had a great time. Bunny, our little mini-dachshund didnt want to leave. Literally had to chase her from front door to back door. We had a great time.
We had a great stay! The cabin is well equipped and cozy. The hosts were very sweet and had some goodies for us as well. We loved our time there and would book again!
What a lovely little cabin. Looks exactly as pictured. Very well stocked with everything you need. Bed was comfortable. Cabin was sparkling clean. There is a fire pit in back with plenty of wood. Wonderful screened in porch was perfect for sitting, especially in the morning while drinking coffee and watching deer.
Was very clean and private. Owners were very thoughtful and accommodating. Was perfect this time of year with the pretty leaves changing! Will definitely recommend!
Unique and very private cabin. Very clean with eith everything furnished for a nice stay. We never got the wifi to work. Stairs to bedroom are very narrow and steep, not for seniors. Low toilets not for seniors. We happened to have unexpected cold weather when we stayed here; when the lower level is comfortably warm the upper level main bedroom is very hot...we will not return. Younger folks will probably really enjoy it.
