The Eagle's Rest is a lakefront cabin located on the north shore of the Lake Quinault inside the Olympic National Park. It offers 180 degree breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Among the many things to do around here, here are few popular options. In the morning or when sun comes out after the rain, watch the misty cloud rises slowly above the lake and the forest behind it. During the daytime, there are plenty of activities to do like hiking the rain forest trails, canoeing on the lake, and wildlife watching. In the evening, set up a campfire right next to the lake and share stories with family and friends.
This property is perfect for a lake vacation. We would like to come back for a longer stay and enjoy the lake. We were there for the National Park so did not get to spend much time at the house. It was perfect for two couples. We each hadnour own bedroom and bathroom. Place was well stockdd and peaceful. Not the cleansst place but typical for a lake cottage.
The view is stunning and a great location. However the house smells strongly of mold. It seems to be coming from the back bedroom and garage. We left early.
This property is absolutely spectacular! The view of the lake and mountains is just breathtaking. We used the canoes in the lake and saw a the most amazing rainbow over the lake. The decks are great for relaxing. The beds were super comfortable and house had lots of room. Wish we could have stayed here all week, instead of just a couple nights!
The house was great, but you come and stay for the views! We sat out on the deck all afternoon watching the kids play on the driftwood and in the water. The beds were comfortable. Appliances all worked well. Bathrooms were clean. Would definitely stay again!
The house is comfy, the view impressive, and the location is perfect for multiple national park activities. The deck alone is worth the entire property!
The beauty of the mountains, the quiet of the lake, the coziness of the cabinâŠ.couldnt ask for a nicer stay on labor day long weekend. Looking forward to our next visit!
The view was awesome! The accommodations were not. Host was pleasant and communicated well when we messaged about problems. The description does say house is old and it is. But, remodling is a necessity. The house was more akin to a fishing cabin then a family retreat. -Not very clean. Cobwebs everywhere.-Kitchen not well stocked-Kept tripping breakers-Safety issues with deck to water. Especially for small children.-Didnt know there is a public water access right behind house. Got to know a lot of local fisher people.-Washing machine stopped working. -Couches heavily stained.-Shower head in back bathroom wouldn't stay upright. Positives: Plenty of things to see and do outside the house.
Deck had some safety issues with loose railings. Should be fixed ASAP.Lighting inside could be improved as well. It was more of a rustic setting than the pictures implied but it was still a perfect weekend for the family. The view was amazing even during the storm.
This was exactly what our family was looking for! Amazing location, the lake view from the deck was breathtaking. The house itself is rustic but functional and clean. It has all the essentials and the location close to the Pacific Ocean and the park destinations were exactly what we needed.
Our only hiccup was a brief loss of power to the area one afternoon but the owner was prompt with communication via text and the power was restored quickly by local utility crews.
Perfect location for a home base to explore Lake Quinault
Nice house with an excellent deck for lake play and relaxing family time. Plenty of room for folks to chill inside. Very peaceful area and several nice spots to visit and some excellent restaurants to sample.
Would definitely stay here when my travels bring me back to the Pacific Northwest. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking Lake Quinault was the perfect start of the day.
Beautiful scenery, comfortable living arrangements
The house expanded perfectly for our group. We love the multiple porches and dock. We used the canoes every day and watched the stars at night from the dock.
Loved this property, great location and perfect for pets. It rained the entire time and had a power outage but the property was well layed out and open floor plan so plenty of space. Very nice hiking trails close by.
Spacious property with wonderfully wide porches and easy access to the lake. We loved the firepit, all set up for us to light! Kitchen had everything we needed.
We loved the location .beautiful Views very cozy we would have been happier if the probane fire place was working a maintenance guy did try fixing it but couldn't get it fixed on our three day stay hopefully it's all fixed for future family's that stay at this rental great experience.
We are relative new and are learning how to manage vacation properties. Please keep in mind that this is an older cabin, not a five star hotel and we would like to keep it that way. Due to its remote location, it may take time to find someone to do repairs. Please let us know how to make your stay more enjoyable. . Thank you for your patience.
Gorgeous view the of lake and mountains. easy access to the hiking trails. We are continuously improving and add amenities to the property. Both bathrooms have been totally remodeled this winter(2021).
