If you're looking for an ultimate log cabin retreat, then look no more. Francine's Log Cabin is a unique, small Authentic 18th century log cabin. The cabin site on 26 private acres surrounded by cedar trees, a pond and southern Indiana's rolling ridges with expansive views. Equipped kitchen with stone fireplace and hand-crafted cabinets. Cozy living room with vintage parlor stove, digital TV/DVD and sleeper sofa. Queen pillow top bed upstairs. large full bathroom. 2 covered porches, rocking chairs, porch swing, Hammock, Gazebo with outdoor napping bed. Fishing pond and outdoor shower. Beautiful sunsets and star gazing, relax and unwind here.

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful, clean. We were looking for something secluded and rustic with fishing and this place was better than could have imagined. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the porch watching the fish jump in the pond. We were kept safe by the friendly dogs that were so sweet. The bed was so comfortable we were asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. Everywhere you look there is something cool to see. All the added touches by the host made it even more special. It was like having a scavenger hunt. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing Getaway

Cabin and property are beautiful! The old cabin has a lot of charm and is well decorated. Porch that overlooks the pond was one of my favorite spots...spent every morning out there with a cup of coffee watching the wildlife. If you want a relaxing place to get away from it all for a bit, I would highly recommend this cabin!

We absolutely loved it here! If you're looking for a place to unwind and relax, this is the perfect place. The views are amazing, and the cabin is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice! We definitely plan on coming back!

The property is just as we remember it from 10 years ago. Just as well-appointed and cozy. Especially love all of the antiques & lamp options for creating an intimate getaway, & its proximity to both Madison & Clifty Falls State Park.

Such a peaceful beautiful spot!

If you are looking to get away from it all in a sweet cabin, this is for you. So peaceful, we look forward to returning in warmer weather to enjoy the quiet outdoors even more. Loved making a fire outside at night. Great kitchen, all you need to do is bring all your food. This is one of the best VRBOs we've been in, and we've traveled extensively! A perfect a fun calm getaway.

Very nice!

We loved the property! Everything we needed was at the cabin. We found new little things tucked away in the decor every day. The neighbor dogs, Macey & Forest were very good dogs and just passed through daily. Only about 20 minutes to Madison, very enjoyable.

My husband and I were married the morning of the 12th of January 2024 and our stay at the cabin was for our honeymoon. We both loved the experience very much and would really love to go back during the warm weather to be able to enjoy all that there is to offer at the property.

Wonderful get away

I usually travel to TN (from indy) for my weekend getaways but figured this time I would try a closer location. I was not disappointed. It would be hard to find a better more beautiful view in Indiana. On top of that the cabin itself is so charming and full of history. One of the coolest places I have stayed. 10/10 recommend.

Great cozy cabin. Just the place to get away from hectic schedule. Living room furniture needs updated, bed too soft for my back, just not very comfy. Everything else was great. Would like to come when weather is warmer.

A piece of Heaven

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, my husband and I wanted to find a secluded cabin to connect with each other and this place did not disappoint! It surpassed all expectations. Macy and Forest were welcome company on the porch and bank of the pond. We thought we would visit Madison and explore but this cabin was worth every moment we had so we never left the property! We will be back for sure!!!

Ive always wanted to live in a log cabin. Tom purchased the cabin as a 20th wedding anniversary gift. Thus begin my Inn Keeping days. I’m a retired realtor, Health nut, honey gram to 8 Grandkids, beekeeper and a GRITS gal. (Gal Raised In The South). 2 years after we purchased the cabin I became sick and was misdiagnosed for over several months. Stage 4 lung cancer (never smoked) 4 months to live! That was 4 years ago. God is good and I’m still here enjoying the cabin. Its been a lot of hard work and I truly believe there’s healing in nature. To everything there is a time and a season. So here I am living my best life enjoying every second. Offering up my little cabin so guest can find the same peace and healing I found. I’m so blessed to be here, to own this little piece of paradise and to share what’s really important in life.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We spent the next 2 years cleaning up the grounds, developing a website www.Francineslogcabin.com, improving the cabin interior. We added the bedroom dormer 3 years ago, new furnace, AC, water heater, napping bed in the gazebo, recutting the original trails and septic system. The cabin was relocated from KY and restored onsite. All the downstairs flooring is reclaimed poplar wood planks. The stone fireplace was from one of the first mud and straw houses in Switzerland county. All the kitchen cabinets have hand carved Hinges and are made with reclaimed wood. Ive always been a big antique/junker so the cabin is decorated with years of digging and junking. Most of the furnishing came from shopping my own house. Once you turn down the driveway Its just a storybook setting and you can literally feel the stresses of modern day fall away. I promise you won’t be disappointed
