Nestled among four other cabins thoughtfully placed across 45 acres of wooded land, the Mulberry Cabin is an Amish-built log retreat surrounded by mature trees and peaceful pond views. Designed for couples or individual travelers who appreciate extra space and a quiet setting, Mulberry offers a calm, woodland atmosphere that feels removed without being isolated. Walking trails, wildlife sightings, and scenic surroundings create a relaxed environment just minutes from historic downtown Madison.

The Space

Inside, the Mulberry Cabin features a comfortable primary bedroom along with a second bedroom available for flexible sleeping arrangements if needed. The layout provides additional room to spread out, making it well suited for guests who value space, comfort, and privacy during their stay.

The living area is ideal for unwinding—whether watching a favorite movie, reading a good book, or enjoying a quiet evening indoors. The cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen with cookware, utensils, pots and pans, a Keurig coffee maker, a standard 12-cup coffee maker, a two-slice toaster, and an outdoor gas grill, allowing guests to prepare meals at their own pace.

A spacious deck with rocking chairs provides a comfortable place to enjoy morning coffee or relax in the evening while taking in the wooded surroundings and nearby pond views.

Outdoors, Property & Location

Guests are welcome to explore scenic walking trails throughout the property, fish in Cattail Pond, or unwind by the firepit just outside the cabin. The property is intentionally quiet and uncrowded, with cabins oriented to follow the natural landscape rather than arranged in a straight line.

Guest Access

Access to the cabin is provided via a secure lockbox. The access code, directions, and cabin-specific information will be sent to guests within 24 hours of check-in.

A private parking space is located adjacent to the cabin.

Other Things to Note – Our Policies

Pets

Pets are not permitted without prior approval from the Host and payment of a $150 security deposit at the time of reservation. When approved, only well-behaved, house-broken dogs are allowed. Dogs must be crated inside the cabin when guests are away and must not disturb other guests. Evidence of an unauthorized pet will result in a $300 cleaning fee.

Children

This property may be suitable for children under 12 years of age; however, children must be supervised at all times on decks, trails, and near ponds or other outdoor features.

Safety & Emergencies

Smoke alarms and fire extinguishers are installed in all cabins. Guests agree not to tamper with or disable these devices. In the event of an emergency, guests must call 911 immediately and notify the Host as soon as reasonably practicable.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cabin. Smoking is permitted only on decks or patio areas where ashtrays are provided. Smoking is not allowed in wooded or forested areas. Evidence of smoking inside the cabin, including odor, will result in a $200 fee.

Fire Safety

Candles and indoor fires are not permitted. Please ensure the stove and fireplace are turned off when not in use. Fires are allowed only in the designated fire pit. Fires outside the fire pit are strictly prohibited.

Noise & Quiet Hours

Guests and visitors must keep noise to a minimum to respect neighboring cabins and properties. Quiet hours are observed between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM, including during arrival and departure.

Parties & Events

Parties, gatherings, or events of any kind are not permitted.

Visitors

No unregistered guests may stay overnight. Guests may have up to two daytime visitors during the stay. Overnight visitors are not allowed.

Damages & Restricted Areas

Guests are responsible for any damage to the cabin or property during their stay. Entry into other cabins or buildings on the property is strictly prohibited.
