Welcome to Starshine Lodge, your authentic southwestern mountain retreat. This stunning home offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway, with all the comforts you love. Enjoy 3 spacious king bedrooms, breathtaking views, a beautiful stone fireplace, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and so much more.
Starshine is a part of the Mountain Serenity Rentals group, an elite group of family-owned properties providing the absolute best of what Angel Fire has to offer. Mountain Serenity Rentals is a small but mighty team started by husband and wife duo Eric and Cheryl in 2006. What began with one house and a small dream has since grown into our true passion: offering families from all over the opportunity to make memories in the mountains in beautiful, clean, up-to-date, and well-maintained homes. At Mountain Serenity Rentals, we intentionally market only a handful of properties so we can provide the highest level of service. We believe you deserve all the things you need for a great stay, and donât want to nickle and dime you for them. Our homes are stocked with firewood for fireplaces and fire pits, propane for gas grills, detergent for laundry machines, and all the basics for kitchens and bathrooms. If you are ever missing something during your stay, donât hesitate to reach out! We have gathered a tremendous amount of knowledge over the years, but actively value feedback from our guests so we can continue to improve and provide excellence.
Here are some highlights of the property itself that we know you'll love:
** Outstanding Views! Nestled at over 9,000 feet, this home offers unparalleled views of the Valley of the Utes, without another house in sight! Feel far from it all while enjoying the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience, with easy access to town, skiing, biking, and more.
** Three King Bedrooms! Each of the spacious bedrooms has a king bed and its own smart TV. So no more fighting over the best room! Every couple can have a king bed of their own in a room lush with intentional decor.
** Starshine Lodge offers a warm and inviting experience, with so many beautiful southwest touches. With cozy considered furnishings and exquisite views, you will delight in simply watching the sunset from the deck, soaking in the hot tub, having a movie night in the living room or sunroom, or curling up next to the woodstove or fire pit.
** The house sleeps 11, with a unique open floor plan on the upper level featuring the primary bedroom suite, kids' bunk area, and additional king bedroom. There is also a king bedroom on the lower level next to the main living space, and room for two more in the sunroom, with its twin bed and trundle.
** The house is fully stocked with everything you could need for your stay. In each bathroom, we provide linens and towels, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and other cooking utensils you need, as well as paper towels, napkins, spices, olive oil, dish soap, and dishwashing detergent. All you need to buy is the food! We also have a laundry room with detergent provided for the washer, just in case your mountain adventures get messy!

BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS:
Starshine Lodge features 5 sleeping areas spread across two floors, making it perfect for 2-3 families or larger groups. The upper-level primary suite boasts a king-sized canopy bed, a spacious walk-in closet, a stunning ensuite bathroom, SmartTV, desk area, and access to an outdoor patio with seating for four. This elegant sunken suite is unique in that it's open to the upper floor, offering visual privacy while still maintaining a sense of openness. While truly breathtaking, please note that this space is best suited for those who donât mind the sounds from the rest of the house.
Adjacent to the primary suite, you'll find the kids' bunk area, featuring a set of full-over-full bunks and a twin bed. Down the open catwalk overlooking the lower floor is the second upper-level bedroom, complete with a king bed, SmartTV, and access to a shared full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
On the lower level, just off hte living room is a king bedroom with a SmartTV and a full bathroom with a tub and shower. Additionally, the sunroom just off the kitchen offers flexible sleeping with a twin-sized daybed and trundle, along with its own SmartTV.
All bedrooms and bathrooms are stocked with pillows, linens, towels, shampoo, body wash, hair dryers, and hand soap.
LIVING AREA:
The main living area is truly the heart of this home. With a massive stone fireplace, cozy couches and chairs, a woodburning stove, and a TV for watching movies and games together. This room seamlessly flows into the dining room and kitchen spaces, and outward to the sunroom as well.
The sunroom, located just off the dining area, offers you both a sleeping space for two, or an additional area to relax, catch a game, read a book, or enjoy a quiet conversation.
KITCHEN/DINING:
Our well-appointed kitchen offers everything you need to make memorable meals together. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer, as well as a crockpot, coffee maker (full pot and Keurig), toaster oven, and blender. All dishes, glassware, cookware, and utensils are provided, along with a cabinet stocked with oils and spices. By Summer 2025 there will also be a propane gas grill on the front patio for outdoor cooking.
Adjacent to the kitchen, there are two dining spaces, one high-top table with seating for four, and a dining table seating 8. The kitchen/dining area also features a small wet bar with a wine rack.
ENTERTAINMENT OUTDOORS:
Step outside your door, and the outdoor patio becomes an extension of your living room. Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails while soaking in the views, or unwind in the hot tub. Get a fire going in the fire pit and make smores under market lights while the Angel Fire sunset blows you away. It's all here waiting for you!
ENTERTAINMENT INDOORS:
When you're done exploring or playing on the slopes, head inside and build a fire. Curl up and watch something all together, or play a game at the dining room table. Need a little time for the grown ups? Send the kids to the sunroom to pull out the trundle and watch a movie on their own smartTV. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.
LAUNDRY ROOM/MUD ROOM:
Just off the living room and across from the lower level king bedroom is a full laundry room for your use! You never know when your adventures might get messy, so we provide detergent to help you clean up.
ENTRY/GARAGE/PARKING:
The garage is not available for guest use, so head on to the patio and enter through the front door. Inside you will find rubber mats for dirty boots, a full closet for coats, and more. There is even a lovely little bench for sitting and taking your shoes off after a long day.
You are welcome to park anywhere on the driveway you like, but please note we highly recommend you have a 4WD, AWD, or chains for your vehicle, especially in the winter, to ensure that you can get to the home comfortably. The driveway to the property is plowed regularly and cinders are used as required to ensure your comfort and safety.
Note: For your protection and ours, we have a ring doorbell on the front door to monitor the front entry points of the house as well as a camera at the rear corner of the house.
