Hawthorn Cottage - Tamahere

Nestled on the river-bank, amongst beautiful gardens and bird-song, you will find the ultimate nature retreat - Hawthorn Cottage.

This gorgeous 1 bedroom 1 bathroom semi-self-contained cottage is the perfect romantic getaway in a stunning setting along the Te Awa River Ride bike track.

Whether you're coming to the area for a peaceful getaway, or for one of the many nearby attractions, Hawthorn Cottage is the ideal base for your upcoming getaway.

The cottage is connected to, but private from, the main house. The lovely owners will respect your privacy during your stay - however, you are most welcome to use the in-ground swimming pool during your stay. The pool is a shared facility with the owners who use it occasionally.

The semi-self-contained guesthouse has it's own private entrance. Whilst there are no cooking facilities, there are tea/coffee making facilities, a mini-fridge and a toaster. Your nearest Cafe 'Mixture' is only a 2 minute drive, and nearest restaurant 'The Boundary Restaurant' is an 8 minute drive. There are plenty of takeaway options in Cambridge - however UberEats are also operating in the area.

Located only 8 minutes to drive Cambridge, and the same distance to Hamilton Airport.

Hobbiton is around 35 minutes drive, Mystery Creek Events Centre is 13 minutes drive, and Hamilton Gardens are 20 minutes drive.

You are welcome to store bikes in the owners garage, or charge E-bikes - however, the garage cannot be used for vehicle parking.

The property is not suitable for small children due to the river right next to the cottage.

There are two small very friendly dogs on the property. No pets are allowed to be bought to the property by guests.

There are no laundry facilities.

Parking: You can park to the side of the garage. No parking inside the garage.

Security Cameras: There are external cameras set up outside the entrance of the property for security purposes.

Linen included – we are a holiday home management company who use professionally laundered linen & towels.

Cleaning – exit clean included in nightly rate.

STRICTLY no parties, events or loud groups. Neighbours are very close and are to be respected at all times.
