The King bed lifts up into the ceiling leaving a lovely seating area with a TV. Our subdivision is lucky to have a communal water hole. It is on private property so it is a lovely spot to cool off. There is a covered verandah and it is in a peaceful setting. Everything you could want. Shower, washing machine, privacy and great off road parking.
What we loved - the tiny house is beautiful inside and out. Beautiful wooden cabin feels and there was heaps of space for the two of us. It was very quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. If it had been nicer weather, the water hole looked perfect. Comfy bed, wifi, smart tv and nice shower.Host was easy to contact and friendly when we had question about the wifi password as it had changed. Things to improve on - there was a baking tray under the oven that didnt fit in the oven. We had brought things to make pizza so a flat tray would be handy. And we were quite surprised when we got there, there was a couple of trucks parked right outside the front by a barn. So didnt feel as private as we would have liked, we kept the blinds shut. A tall hedge or trees around the house would be perfect.
As we arrived we met Gordon, he was very friendly and accommodating to any questions we had.The tiny home was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. The waterhole around the corner was amazing, wish we stayed long enough to swim!Suzanne was responsive and great to deal with.Would recommend and stay again if we have the chance
Highly recommend. The hosts were lovely, welcoming and helpful. The tiny house is beautifully designed and well equipped. Would definitely stay again.Thank you
Wonderful house to stay in for a break. We hadnât previously stayed in a tiny house before and were a little bit unsure, but everything was so cleverly worked out that it was a pleasure. Lovely people and a great location.
This Beautiful Tiny House was full of owner-designed and built surprises, where space was used as efficiently as on any boat; yet not at all cramped -- worth a stay just for the architectural experience. The host-owners are real people; congenial and helpful.
This tiny house was thoughtfully crafted by the owners, and it shows. I loved the experience of having all I need for my little family in just the right amount of space. Gordon was very friendly, and the community is really lovely.
My husband and I stayed here so we could see the glow worms in Waitomo which was about a 25-30 min drive. This place is in a quiet little neighborhood and is represented accurately online. The private community waterhole was so beautiful and peaceful, and the house has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would certainly stay here again if in the area!
We had a wonderful stay at this tiny house! Don't let the pictures fool you, the place was super spacious and comfy! The hosts were really nice and gave some good recommendations of places to visit
Was a great little place quiet and beautiful surroundings, the owners were warm and welcoming, and Suzanne showed how to get the comfy bed down.
It is a very well equipped home with everything and more we didn't lack for anything.
The recommended walk to the waterfall was well worth it and such beautiful surroundings.
We will be back for another weekend break.
Stayed here over the new year with my partner and couldnât have had it any better - a nice cottage with everything you need, a perfect place away from the city. Will definitely be back soon if itâs available on a more sunny day :)
Excellent host and very awesome accommodations. About 20-25 minutes away from our cave adventure. Perfect compared to trying to drive back to a major city!
We are a retired couple. We built this tiny home to live in while we rebuilt a new home. We changed out minds and now have this cute little cottage to use as a holiday home. Gordon is very involved in youth development sailing out at lake Ngaroto and I still coach netball. We have grandchildren that visit a lot and we have two cats.
This small cottage has everything in it for a couple to holiday in. It is in a quiet area. It is on our back section so not far away if you need anything.
Close to Mount Pirongia for mountain walks or mountain biking. We have a small communal water hole for cooling off. A small village 5 mins away for any necessities. We are on the highway if you want to go south to Otorohanga kiwihouse, about 20 mins. We are 40 mins from Waitomo Caves and then on down to New Plymouth and the Central Plateau. Go North to Hamilton or Auckland. We are 30 minutes away from Hamilton. Great shopping at the base in Hamilton. Lake Karapiro is only 30 mins away.
