From booking to check out, our communication with Stephen and Pam was wonderful. Pam had some helpful restaurant suggestions and also made sure we were comfortable in our place. We had everything we needed and more! We will definitely stay here again if we're in town!

We sincerely apologize for the concerns you experienced during your stay. Due to the heavy snowfall prior to your arrival, we were unaware that our dog had relieved herself near the entryway. The snow concealed the area, and we regret that it was not noticed sooner by our landscaper. Regarding the insects, our home is located in a wooded area, and while we take regular preventative measures, occasional insects can be expected in this natural setting. As soon as we were made aware of these concerns, we refunded a portion of your stay as a gesture of goodwill. We strive to provide every guest with a positive experience. However, prior to your arrival, we received an email from VRBO regarding/alerting us of your stay. Despite this notice, we proceeded to accommodate you as planned. We also left you a 5-star review, as we believe in extending courtesy and professionalism to all of our guests.

The property managers are very kind. This is a clean cozy place to stay. Every detail was thought out to make this stay comfortable for the guest! The shower felt like a spa. Cute retro style appliances and really good coffee in the mornings. Deck offers a nice view too

Clean, comfortable, and friendly layout

Nice place that is very well kept and has great/new amenities suitable for a even a longer stay. Everything is very clean and appears as though it has been recently renovated. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. While it's a guest house type setup on a larger property you wouldn't know it when you're inside. Very quiet and has it's own patio great for grilling. Highly recommend!

Cute and comfortable lodging close to Culver

We needed a quick overnight stay while visiting our daughter at nearby Culver. At only 10-11 minutes from the academy, the location was very convenient. This above-the-garage apartment is beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. It had everything we needed plus more. The owners were really sweet and responsive. My only suggestion would be to send check-in information through the VRBO app in addition to the text that is sent, as that text to me got lost in the airwaves :) so I was clueless on check-in procedures and access to the rental when we arrived. This was rectified pretty immediately, however, so it all worked out. In summary, I would highly recommend this beautiful, serene property as we enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

The area and house itself was an amazing view. We didn’t end up staying at the property at all unfortunately. Upon arrival, we noticed a car and then another car pulled up. Came to find out that the owners stay on the property with you. This was not listed nor was I expecting this. We wanted complete privacy to actually enjoy ourselves. This was a family trip I typically take every year but this year was disappointing to me and my kids. We didn’t get a refund for any of the days unfortunately either. Which was about a few 100. I loved the property but there was no privacy what so ever under the circumstances that the owners stayed on the property. The guest that arrived separately, kept watching us while they were outside making it a bit uncomfortable. I definitely would recommend to others if privacy isn’t an issue.

Our listing says that this is a unique stay because we are a working farm. You will see us around working in the garden and the fields. Also, it states we hold a maximum of 4 people, you brought 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Our pet policy was to be pre-authorized for pets under 20 lbs. You brought two large dogs. I have graciously refunded one night, even though the teenagers laid on the bed, spread snot on the wall, and messed up all the games.

We are natives to this part of northern Indiana. We built our farm from ground up with the dream of having a "bed and breakfast" since the early 90s. However, with 3 children thrown in the mix, the bed and breakfast was put on the back burner. As time and the name (bed and breakfast) have evolved, we have finally been able to embark on our dream.

We chose our location because of the closeness of family, and also has been a peaceful place to homestead.

You will see us around as we are a working farm: from vegetable gardening to selling eggs to canning pears to wine making to cooking down maple syrup!
Take a nature hike down our trail, Possum Path and loop around Cedar Grove. But watch out for Jack Pine Plunge!
