All the Comforts of Home . . . and MORE!!

My family traveled from Louisiana, California, and Florida for my nephew's graduation from the U.S. Marine Corps on Parris Island! The VRBO home was large enough to accommodate all 10 family members with appropriate beds for each individual/couple attended. This quaint home provide more amenities than we could have imagined, game room with ping pong table, swimming pool, very large kitchen with ample dishes for our large family, beautiful fireplace, large dining room table, spacious parking, easy access and more! The home was exceptionally clean and decorated with both elegance and warm cozy relaxation! My family and I would love to stay here again, just to see the sights of South Caroline next time! Absolutely EXCELLENT!!

Disappointed in some Major Things

Disappointing. First Tricia was amazing and very responsive. Sadly major things wrong that she could not address. The elevator did not work but more concerning the top floor lock had been pulled out by last resident so you could open door to an empty elevator shaft. Tricia was over immediately and had to stop full elevator access. The dishwasher was moldy and would not clean items, the grill was absolutely disgusting and filthy. There was no access to the lights and fans outside by the pool. The air conditioner was not keeping up on the bedroom floor and even worse on the bunk floor so kids needed to sleep in living room. There were dirty towels left under the bathroom vanity. It seemed like the cleaning company do the minimum. For what we paid I would have expected that everything work properly. I will think twice and will not be renting again from Evolve as it is much better going from a private owner.

From the owner: "Hi Tracy, I’m so sorry that your experience wasn’t what it should have been. When you stayed, the AC wasn’t cooling as it should, but that’s now fixed. The dishwasher has had a full deep clean, and the grill has been replaced entirely. I’m staying at the property this week to personally check every detail. I’ve noticed a few maintenance items that I’ll be addressing right away, and I’m also reviewing our cleaning arrangements to make sure every future guest walks into a spotless home. Thank you for bringing these matters to my attention; it’s helped me make the property even better."

Weekend Family Getaway

Stayed for a long weekend with family over a holiday weekend. Location is nice and close to beaches, has a busy road on one side and within a few feet from neighboring houses on the other side. Was able to check-in right at 4pm, so the housekeepers had the full 6hrs to clean and house was very dirty. They definitely need to find new maids. The floors were so dirty, they turned your feet black and just felt gross to walk on barefoot, counters dusty, trash and belongings still on floors and left in rooms and drawers, stairs were not swept or vacuumed. Pool was alot smaller than it looks in the picture, but was heated to requested temperature and was nice and relaxing. Game room area and outside pool area also had trash on the ground that was not cleaned up. House was very warm at check in and about 78 degrees. Each day we were there we changed the thermostats to cool the house and each day they were remotely being turned back up to 75 and higher. We were told we could control it, but it would suddenly change. For the money spent to stay here, I feel we should have the ability to stay cool and sleep comfortably instead of waking up sweating. All in all, it was still a very nice, relaxing time, but definitely needs improvements with the cleanliness of the home.
