I write this review with respect, though sadly our experience was disappointing. My colleague and I had travelled 4.5 hours for a two-day conference & were looking forward to relaxing at the property. Unfortunately, we stayed for only 1.5 hours before finding alternative accommodation.Communication was poor. I only received access details after reaching out the day before arrival, despite guidelines that hosts should provide this 72 hours in advance. Earlier questions went unanswered. The house itself was cluttered, not as presented, & tradespeople were due to enter during our stayâsomething not disclosed at booking. We felt pressured to agree to this, despite booking well in advance. The standard of cleanliness also did not meet expectations.What made the situation worse was the treatment we received after leaving. Although I had booked noting Iâd travel with my CEO, a programme manager accompanied me instead. After raising concerns through the app, the host messaged me directly on my personal number, sending a photo of my colleague and mocking his suitability as a CEO. This was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. On advice from our CEO, I blocked the hostâs number to prevent further contact.We are fair & reasonable people, but this experience was non mana-enhancing and left us feeling demeaned. I cannot recommend this property, & I encourage other guests to be open and transparent in reviews so future travellers can make informed decision.
