Thanks for your positive feedback on your stay in our property for your recent holiday. The expansive views has improved temporarily with the previous house removed & all trees & hedge gone. Queenstown is extremely popular & although we fought hard in the high court & blocked one round by seperate developer’s the NZ government changed intensification rules to high in our part of paradise Yes 10 units are planned & will block out forward views & I intend to soften it with key plantings & removal of the wooden fence to widen the driveway. My other top unit will retain its spectacular views after the units below are completed Other than staying in Hotels these properties retain their unique location being so close to the action of what is Queenstown & will still offer a difference with room & amenities not found in hotels. It is a shame our views are being blocked, as long as demand is there from tourists this sort of thing will continue. Queenstown residents & ratepayers are currently pushing back as this is exploding all around Queenstown with a Government fast track process bypassing conventional property rights. I suppose all we can do is adapt & change with it. Most guests enter & exit via the easier front drive gate As its level ground, I’ll see if anything can be done re the uneven steps mentioned or remove & block that off to avoid it. There is a lift out integrated clear water container just inside door top main fridge on bottom left, this has a white removable filler cap in the shape of a water drop that says water tank that guests can easily refill with tap water & refit the container back in place. This siphones chilled water & fills the ice making system quickly that drops ice cubes into the bottom freezer drawer top sliding shelf catchment tray that has ice on the left for guests if they choose to use instantly. I do suggest guests to make contact if they have any questions via the various provided systems or the booking app which I respond to immediately. Thanks for your stay & suggestion.
