Le Paroa Retreat est situé en face de la cave de Paroa Bay et à 10 minutes de Russell ou du ferry de Opua. La route d'accès est entièrement scellée.

Construit en verre et en acier, vous êtes entouré de vues. Admirez le coucher de soleil sur les collines couvertes de brousse, les yachts naviguant dans la baie des îles ou la vie d'oiseaux abondante sur la pelouse. Avec 4 hectares de brousse indigène sur la propriété et quelques sentiers de randonnée faciles dans la région, vous apprécierez certainement cet emplacement magnifique.

Paroa Retreat combine un design primé dans un endroit calme avec une vue imprenable. Entouré par la nature avec tout le confort moderne pour assurer un séjour agréable, relaxant et paisible.

Wonderful hilltop retreat

Clean, modern, private, relaxing hilltop house with a great view of the islands. My wife and I truly enjoyed the home. The kitchen was well equipped, the deck and hot tub were peaceful and private with a great view. Everything was great.

Outstanding Paroa Bay Retreat

We loved our stay here. The house is fabulous with a magnificent bay of islands view. The house was spotless and well thought out. Everything you could want was there. We would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you Jeff for making our Bay of Islands stay so special.

Absolutely stunning, designer property

This is absolutely a home we'll plan to return to -- beautifully designed, bright, and meticulously clean and well-maintained. Our kids loved the lawns and the pool/spa. We were in the area to attend a local wedding, and thus weren't planning to sit around the house much, but the Paroa Retreat was so wonderful that we ended up spending many happy hours relaxing and enjoying the view.

Paroa Perfection!

This was the best place we stayed while in New Zealand for a month. The home, grounds and views are absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed every moment we were there. We loved listening to the birds, relaxing in the spa, and cooking on the BBQ. We had a lovely dinner at the winery next door, we recommend the "trust the chef" menu. After arriving, we learned it is so easy to take a ferry over to the treaty grounds and Paihia, and also boat tours pick up in Russell. We certainly hope to come back someday - thank you, Jeff, for making the whole experience so easy and lovely.

Very nice, modern house in a bit remote place (but one knows and wants it that way...)Large, very clean and everything as described in profile.I have never ever seen kitchen drawers in such a state, clean and everything in an almost orchestrated order, it almost leaves some stress as one is temopted to hand it back that way ...Kitchen is very fully equipped.Very nice host with perfect intro and hand-over.You get what you see in the profile and that is to a really high standard.If only NZ would not be that far from Europe, we would stay more often in that place!

Excellent Stay in Russell!

Stayed at Jeff's place for a family Christmas trip, and we couldn't have picked a better spot. This was the first time we'd seen our daughter in two years because of COVID (we live in Canada) and we wanted something special. Jeff's place fit the bill perfectly. It's an amazing property in an amazing location with an amazing host. Jeff was easy to communicate with, and he and his wife even went to the trouble to buy and decorate a Christmas tree for us. We drove up from Auckland very early in the morning, and Jeff was kind enough to let us check in early. The place is gorgeous and has absolutely everything you could want. Kitchen facilities are first rate and has everything you need. All five of us love to cook and we made all of our meals while there for 10, save one, and there was nothing we couldn't find. My pet peeve is full knives, so I travel with a knife sharpener. Not only were the knives sharp, there was a sharpener in the drawer! My wife even found a pastry brush when she made croissants! The rest of the property is great too. Many days we just hung around the pool, and evenings were spent playing games in the large living room. We loved the place, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

A magical, beautiful home overlooking the bay

Our stay in Russell was absolutely magical. The home was not only immaculately kept and architecturally beautiful, but the amenities made our short holiday very comfortable. The hot tub was clean and comfortable. WiFi was speedy. Laundry was available on-site. The kitchen was well-furnished with everything one could ask for. The outdoor grill seared my locally butchered steak to perfection. And the view... the view! It was breathtaking to look out over the sunset and into the Bay of Islands every evening. The owners went above-and-beyond by providing chocolates and a bottle of local sparkling wine as a complimentary gift upon our arrival making the trip very special for my wife and I. Oh, yes... and did I mention there’s a beautiful winery right next door with delicious wines and dinner? I could not ask for a better experience. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience

We were visiting NZ from the UK and treated ourselves to a special stay in Russell. The property exceeded all our expectations. The location, views, quality, facilities and attention to detail were amazing. Excellent communication and handover plus detailed instructions made our stay very relaxing. Each morning the views across the Bay of Islands just lifted the spirits - a real haven of luxury, peace and relaxation. The gardens and local walks gave us opportunities to view the bird life. The outdoor kitchen, hot tub and jet pool were incredible. Thanks to Jeff for sharing such a unique property.

Perfect escape for a special birthday celebration

Beautiful setting, all needs catered for, a very easy place to relax in. Perfect getaway for us (couple). We loved the care and attention that is clearly placed in this property and its guests. Perfect place to celebrate a special birthday. Plenty to see and do here, the views are simply wonderful. Enjoyed visiting the town of Russell when we ventured out. The Duke of Marlborough served very lovely meals (thanks for the advice, Jeff!). Waitangi Treaty grounds were also worth a visit, very well presented history lesson! My thanks to Jeff for all your assistance re things to do and see and for presenting such an organised home (birthday boy is of same type and was very impressed so he gives you extra marks just for that!). Hope to return here and will definitely recommend!

Jeff and Gayle are exceptional owner/managers of this architectural masterpiece. Their attention to detail and their genuine hospitality made our stay a pleasure. Awesome property to stay at. It is a 20mins drive from Russell, or 15mins from ferry making it a little bit more secluded which added to the properties charm. The view is incredible. Fully equipped, more than the usual. Spotlessly clean. Pool, spa & huge BBQ. A lovely winery & restaurant just next door too. Overall a wonderful place to stay, very hard to leave

What a beautiful house! Loved the location and the view. So very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Minor issues: the afternoon sun can make it warm inside, but the full length blinds help, along with opening the windows; and the oven didn't work, we had to use the BBQ instead.

Amazing views and location. This is a 5 star property!

The house is amazing, just like the photos. The winery only 200 metres away is awesome but you will need to book ahead. The house is impeccably clean and has lots of little extras in the pantry. The amazing views will leave you breathless.

Gail and Jeff have been fortunate to be able to work and live in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Having both lived in Christchurch for over 30 years we are now both enjoying the relaxed lifestyle available on the Russell peninsula.

Paroa Retreat is a stunning property finished to the highest standards. It is very unique with floor to glass ceilings in every room and a living area surrounded by glass. It is like living outdoors, with all the creature comforts we are used to. With views out to the ocean and beyond the house is truly stunning.
