Winter Weather Warning: The elevation at Smoky Mountain Dream is nearly the same as the lodge at Ober Mountain Ski Resort. In case of inclement winter weather, 4 wheel drive and/or chains are advised. We recommend checking the weather and webcam at Ober Mountain Ski Resort to determine the weather conditions here. The City of Gatlinburg does an excellent job of keeping the roads open in winter, but in case of heavy snowfall, it may take a day or more to make the roads safe for travel. When staying here in the winter, it is advised that you bring extra supplies just in case.
This was such a great little chalet! It was very clean and cozy. We saw so many bears and wildlife. We even had one get in our truck lol I would definitely recommend this home!
Nice place beautiful view. Minor issues like inability to use 2nd floor shower because nozzle broken, and might want to warn anybody bringing a vehicle with a cover/top because our pick-up bed cover was destroyed by a bear our first few hours there. No food was in the truck and doors were locked, but it still got on top of truck topper and clawed its way in. We were all getting in truck when we noticed it then saw the bear walking towards us about 15 feet away. Not something I think we could get used to unfortunately. Also, if you book tickets to Anakeesta via the email, would have been nice to know I did not buy tickets, but vouchers. You still have to wait in the long ticket line even if you prebook because they only give you vouchers to exchange for tickets. Otherwise nice stay. Thank you
