Marymount Hideaway in Amish Country close to Rails to Trails trailhead
Stay in an original farmhouse built in 1849, nestled in a valley in N. Central Ohio. Snuggle in front of the fireplace in winter and sit back with a cool drink on the back porch in summer. Take long walks in the woods on the 160 acre property any time! Located close to Amish country, and local wineries. This farm house is recently renovated with all modern conveniences. Central air, forced air natural gas furnace, a natural gas fireplace, hardwood floors, wifi and enhanced lighting. Sleeps 11 guests. Located 20 minutes from Loudonville and Millersburg. Spend a day at Ohio's largest tourist attraction- Berlin. Great for bikers (of all kinds!) and is located 2 miles from the trail head for the Holmes County Trail. The host was extremely patient and helpful with my lack of ability when it comes to anything having to do with computer technology. The house was charming and comfortable and the location is very quiet and peaceful. We fully enjoyed our stay, as did our cat Winnie.
We felt at home as soon as we got there! A fresh apple pie left by the host! Loved the porch and sitting outside. The host were super fast at responding and very flexible for us to check in early!!
We were in town for a wedding at the Mohican Treehouse Resort and the home was a great alternative to staying in a treehouse. The location was great and the house clean. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. Mark was very responsive to our questions.
This is the first time we have stayed at this location. We ended up here because this year we had our little dog with us and they allow pets. The property was very peaceful and we enjoyed our stay. The apple pie they left us was so good. When we first went in I told my husband it wasn't real. I thought it was just decorative! Lol

Comfortable house. Beautiful location. Thoughtful welcome info from host. The homemade apple pie was the best surprise! No cell service at the house but the wifi was reliable. Enjoyable visit. Would stay here again.5-stars. đ
For two years now my family and I have spent NYE at the Marymount Hideaway. We prefer a relaxing family evening with food and drink to bring in the new year. Marymount Hideaway is just perfect! The property and surrounding area is simply fantastic! It's 160 acres of open fields and rolling hills that we were able to hike and explore. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, us or our dog Juno who had the time of her life! The house itself is amazing with a great kitchen allowing us to prepare a wonderful NYE meal. Plenty of room to relax and sleep with a fireplace that keeps everything nice and toasty. We can't wait to come back again!
This property was absolutely perfect for us. It sits in a quite little part of town with rolling hills and beautiful fields. Short drive to nearby state parks. Will be back again without a doupt.
Fantastic house. Secluded and quiet in a beautiful country setting. Close to small and quaint towns. Close to Berlin and the shopping it offers. Owners were delightful and we felt welcomed. Great getaway weekend for friends, and we left feeling rejuvenated and blessed.
Return trip to Marymount Hideaway for a weekend getaway at Mohican. The cottage is comfortable and cozy and in a great location. We enjoyed the side porch and firepit and delicious apple pie waiting for us on the counter when we arrived. Owners are great and we can't wait to return! What a gem!
