This spacious, third-floor condo is located in a complex that is smaller than the typical beachfront condominium building, yet it offers similar convenience in location and amenities. The Beach View I grounds are beautifully landscaped and feel just like your own little tropical oasis complete with a pool and hot tub.

Just imagine yourself on South Padre Island enjoying your morning coffee on your private balcony with gorgeous vistas of palm trees and the downstairs pool or sharing a cool beverage poolside in the afternoon. Amazing Stay

We spent our familymoon here and everyone loved it! The condo was gorgeous. The pool and hot tub were phenomenal. The location was superb—being basically right across the street from the ocean was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Great location and great condo for a group.

I would definitely stay at this property again. It’s family friendly and is located by restaurants and a short walking distance from the beach. We did have a bit of a water issue while there but it was quickly resolved. The primary bath shower needs a new faucet and handle but again, this property is an excellent deal for the money.

Great stay at SPI

We had a great stay in 314! The proximity to the beach is excellent and is located across the street from a great beach access with a ramp and zero stairs. We haul a large cart and icechest so this was great! The pool area is beautifully landscaped and the pool is a good size with a hot tub too. The unit is large and roomy. The bunks provided great sleeping arrangements for kids and the primary bedroom is large too. Overall, good stay!

Clean and comfortable

Very clean and comfortable. However, the master bathroom really needs some attention. The shower/tub was clean and technically functional. We were driving from Dallas, and they give a 1 hour window from 3:00-4:00 to check in, or you have to pay an extra $50 to check in late. That's a pretty restrictive time frame. Other than that, it was fine.

Perfect

Our stay was perfect! Having an immune issue I was worried about cleanliness of the condo. Upon entry it looked and smelled extremely clean. I felt safe! Location was perfect we could enjoy the beach or the bay depending on the direction we walked. Spent nights on the bay side lawn to watch the sunset. Before we left we were planning on when we could return! Only negative was we never got to use the hot tub or pool due to people using it as a babysitter. Full day and night of unsupervised kids. No fault of our condo owner though!

Not for Tall People

If you are tall, this place will be challenging. The bathroom vanity came to mid thigh and I looked down at the shower head. I am 5'10." The master bathroom toilet room had not been thoroughly cleaned; there was black hair everywhere. I brought this to the attention of the mgmt group. The place was otherwise clean. The in unit washer/dryer was very handy. It's proximity to the beach was great. The wooden ramp to the beach was very helpful moving all the beach stuff back and forth. If it weren't for the height of the bathroom. facilities, we would stay here again.

Terrible property management

I throughly read the agreement before committing to the rental and therefore I was aware that a late fee is charged if arriving after hours. I agreed to all terms before signing the rental. I provided the office with 6 hour notification that I was arriving 30min past 6pm. Although they had ample time to prepare for my anticipated late arrival the property manager provide me with the INCORRECT address. The property manager wrote the address as 2401 gulf blvd which is wrong address. I called the emergency contact and the on call receptionist had trouble finding the correct address. I was placed on hold multiple times. Then while we waited for directions my toddler had a bathroom accident in the car seat! After about 15min the reception finally found the correct address she “had to use google map to find the correct address 2301 gulf blvd”. When I brought this incident to the property management attention she boldly lies stating she gave me the correct address. I have paperwork in their writing with the wrong address. This is horrible unacceptable negligent management and I will never rent with south padre get away again. The property manager could have apologize and offered some compensation for their irresponsibility but instead she lies and denies any rectification.

Won't rent Padre Getaways again

I'll start out with the good - the unit was big enough /comfortable for 3 adults and 2 kids. There were 3 coffee makers (rusted) and some kitchen essentials for cooking/eating. The location is great in terms of proximity to the beach and restaurants (probably the best thing about the property), but I didn't feel too comfortable in the area at night when we would walk down the street. I did, however, notice a security guard walking around one night. Not listed in the details is that there are 3 beach chairs in the front closet along with a skim board. We found them on the last day. Things to think about-- the unit is on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators. This means you have to go up 6 flights of stairs to get to the top floor which is a pain when you're carrying luggage/cooler etc. The front bedroom-3 bed-was very hot at night and had very little airflow while the master bedroom-king- was very cold. The dishes in the kitchen were very dirty, especially the pots and pans. There was food caked onto the pans and the glassware was also dirty. We had to wash everything before using it -we weren't comfortable with someone coming to clean them while we were there. The air conditioning filter was black. The pool was nice, not very clean though. There was an accident by the pool and no one cleaned it up for a whole day, though security was aware of the situation. It was gross. Not the host's fault, but multiple tenants complained about it and we mentioned it to security and nothing was done. Lastly the thing that frustrated me the most was the booking process - the constant phone calls I received from the host (even on July 4th holiday) asking for more information regarding my name, age, and checkin time, confirming the stay etc. They called nonstop! I had to talk to them 4 different times to answer these questions which could've easily been answered on a single phone call. Not only that, but I had to fill out several pages of documentation ahead of time and include a lot of personal information for every guest that was staying there which I've never had to do for any place I’ve stayed before. It was imperative to them that they know everyones names, ages, number of guests, license plate numbers, addresses, phone numbers, etc.

We really enjoyed this property. It was right by the beach and was centrally located so we walked to many restaurants. Eleana was so friendly and welcoming! She had great suggestions for things to do. The only suggestion I would make is the condo needs a new tub/shower insert it is very worn.
