One of the best things about Cape Starfish is its amazing location! Situated in the heart of the popular, gated community of Barrier Dunes, this unit is convenient to everything! Best of all - you are only a minute and a half "straight shot" walk to the white sandy beach of Cape San Blas and the most spectacular sunsets of absolutely anywhere!

Cape Starfish is brand new to the rental market and has everything you might need for the perfect beach vacation. This exceptional townhouse is the perfect size for most families, including the 4-legged members! With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a sleeper sofa, Cape Starfish can accommodate up to 7 guests and 2 dogs.

When you walk up to the first floor, you immediately realize this place is a cut above the rest. The whole place feels peaceful, private, beautiful, and "beachy"! The living area is inviting, with comfortable furniture and a large flat screen TV, which provides a great space to relax after a fun day in the sun. The big bay window makes the whole place feel bright and open and offers a "picture perfect" view of the lake across the street. Off the living area is a fantastic screened-in porch, which lets you sit out and unwind or grill out and dine al fresco (and stay bug-free ;)

Back inside, the dining table offers plenty of room for everyone to eat together or play games. And the gorgeous remodeled kitchen is fully-stocked with absolutely everything you might need. There is a large side-by-side refrigerator with water and ice in the door, an electric stove, a microwave, and a dishwasher. There are also two coffee makers (one regular and one k-cup style), a coffee bean grinder, a crock pot, a large 4-slice toaster, a blender, plenty of cookware, bakeware, dishes, and glassware.

Also on the first level is a bright and welcoming bedroom with a private balcony that enjoys the morning sun and nice views of the pond and the lake. This bedroom is setup with a comfortable double bed that has a single pull-out trundle bed, which provides room for up to 3 people to sleep. This room has a flat screen TV and ample space to unpack. There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination conveniently located between the kitchen and this bedroom.

Upstairs, you are greeted by a large and inviting master suite with a comfortable king-size bed and large flat screen TV. This private oasis offers a wonderful space to relax and unwind. All of the dresser drawers and the large closet give you plenty of room to settle in for your vacation. A sliding glass door opens onto a private deck with a distant view of the Gulf and a wonderful view of the lake. The en-suite bathroom has a large garden tub as well as a nice walk-in tiled shower. Also upstairs is a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer.

Cape Starfish has enough parking for up to three vehicles. The beach bin has 4 beach chairs and a cart to easily get your gear to and from the beach. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off when you get back.

Barrier Dunes is a great place for people of all ages. Our community offers safe streets for walking your dog and for your children or grandchildren to play or ride bikes and ponds where kids love to feed the resident turtles. There are two swimming pools - one is gulf front and the other one is centrally located in the complex, next to the two tennis/pickleball courts. There are three community beach boardwalks, one of which has no stairs. This boardwalk is the closet one to Cape Starfish and is perfect to get the beach cart with your gear onto the beach.

We invite you to come to Cape San Blas and experience all of the amazing things this place has to offer. Cape Starfish feels like the perfect home away from home - at the beach!!

We had the best time! This is the second time staying at this condo. We loved it so much the first time we couldn’t wait to come back. So clean, great location, and the owners are so accommodating. This was my third trip to Cape Starfish, and I'll be back again next year! The unit always looks good and has everything you need (enjoyed the new/additional chairs, btw!), and the screened porch is a definite plus. It's a great community, everyone is friendly, and the dogs love it, too!

Condo was nicely updated and comfy; all the comforts of home. Nice bay window views of pond, Close access to the pool and relatively easy access to the beach. Enjoy the provision of the beach chairs and cart, however, the cart wheels were a little rusty which made pulling it a small challenge. Some WD-40 probably would help that issue. The screened in porch was great and the covered area with the grill on the lower level became a great gathering spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This was a great property at CSB. Short walk to the beach and one of the two pools was on the same street as this unit. Unit was decorated well, clean, and extremely comfortable for our family of four. We also found the community to be quiet, peaceful and well taken care of. I loved walking over to the pond next to unit to watch the turtles every morning.

Perfect Getaway

The family had a great time at Cape Starfish. The decor and tidiness of the condo is warm and inviting setting you immediately into a relaxed vacation vibe. Small touches like books, board games and cooking items for convenience make you feel at home. The location on the peninsula between the gulf beach and the bay right next to the state park is perfect for getting out in nature with the family. Just a short walk to the beach or either of the two pools. Close to natural Florida while convenient and great relaxing get away.

The only reason that you wouldn’t want to rent this property is if you can’t climb steps. We found it to be almost perfect, with the exception of no gulf view, but very close proximity. But it meet all other criteria.

From reserving, to check in, to enjoying every moment of our stay, and the sad part of checking out, I can't stress enough how perfect this townhouse is. Our condo was nicely updated and decorated in tasteful beach decor. It was an end unit with a screened porch with nice outside patio furniture. We were supplied nice new beach chairs and a new cart for our minute walk to the beach. We did take our own umbrella. The 30ez property mangers were great. They welcomed us via email and were very prompt with real answers for any questions we had. The water pressure is awesome and so is the air conditioning. Some of the units were obviously not as nice as this one, but this one did not disappoint!

Little piece of paradise!!!

We enjoyed getting away from it all! The water was so calm, clear, and shallow. Tons of fish, crabs, and shells. Our favorites were snorkeling with Aquabear, doing a bonfire with Smores on the beach, and doughnuts from Weber's ...we learned getting there by 6-6:30 was essential to getting your pick of the best flavors. The house had everything we needed for coffee, doing a shrimp boil, and much more. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for our party of six. We made good use of the outdoor shower, beach buggy, and beach chairs. The pools were small and not shaded so they were pretty warm, but still enjoyable and the beach was the star of the show anyways, so who needed a pool. We felt right at home and would recommend.

First Time at Cape San Blas

Lots of condos in this gated community, so some walking to pools and beach is required, but it is well maintained. We had no problems with water pressure. This end unit is very nice. The end units have a bay window and this one had a view of one of the ponds, it felt very private. It is 3 floors, so may be difficult for some, Master is on top floor. I would stay in this unit again if available. You should bring everything you need, because Cape San Blas has no stores, only a bait shop, and closest grocery is 20 miles away in Port St Joe. But actually we liked the remoteness of it, but you just have to be prepared. We spent a lot of time at the State Park at the end of the island, the bay on one side of the road and the Gulf on the other.

Beautiful Cape San Blas

This beach house was just the getaway we needed with everything going on in 2020. We had never vacationed in Cape San Blas and it was highly recommended, so we thought, why not. It was great to bring our dog along for the trip too! Pros: Location of the unit was close proximity to the pool and the beach. It was about a 2 minute walk to each. Also, the pond across the street was a huge hit with our 2 year old. We went over and fed the turtles daily. The neighborhood was just as described, perfect for walking dogs, and small enough where you don't get lost. The kitchen was fully equip with everything you would normally need. We liked the little touches like the make up towels in the bathroom and the bin with dog bowls and blankets. Also, we loved the blackout curtains. They were perfect for an afternoon nap and to keep the room dark so you could sleep in a little. This community was close to the doughnut shop! (by the Trading Post - about 5 min down the road) Get there early, they open at 7:30am and when they sell out they close. Trust me, you will want to get some, they were delicious! Cons: Beach side pool was closed and as we learned from a homeowner, they have known it was going to be closed for a while, and I feel this was disappointing as we really wanted to be at the pool that overlooked the beach. Also, we were hoping for two pool options in case one was crowded. We did ultimately have to time our pool outings with other groups because the pool was not that big. A group of 15 people in the pool felt like it was at capacity without being on top of each other. (Yes this did happen while we were there) Other notes: The living room space is cozy with 4 adults and two kids, but worked for our needs as we didn't spend much time there. Make sure to stop and grab what you need, because once you get to the unit, you won't want to leave. Keep in mind some restaurants were not open at all, while others had limited hours due to COVID, and just being on beach time. (Not open Sun/Mon) It takes about an hour round trip to grab food in Port St. Joe. We did go to the general store daily for coffee, but the unit did have kcup coffee maker and a coffee pot with filters if you would prefer. The unit overall was clean, fresh sheets, but the trundle bed was not made so we did have to make that for our daughter. Overall a bit secluded for us, but it was a wonderful vacation and we would recommend this to friends wanting something not on the beating path.
