This 1937 WWII historical landmark Tahosa Valley Cabin sits on secluded 8.6 acres for beautiful forest land with wildlife such as elk, moose, deer, and occasionally bear. The cabin is near the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance at Wild Basin. The Longs Peak trail head is approximately 4 miles from the cabin. 12 miles from Estes Park. It is a convenient location for weddings, hiking, fishing. It is ideal for a honeymoon, anniversary, or just a get away.
The views are spectacular from the deck that also provides privacy for two person hot tub. The setting is great for work from home with high speed internet 5G, WiFi, and satellite TV.
Tahosa Valley Cabin has been professionally remodel and sleeps 4 using a sofa bed, has a new kitchen and bathroom. Original to the cabin are two fireplaces lending to a fireplace in both the bedroom and the living room. .
We are pet friendly and the fees are $30.00 per pet per night. We prefer to limit to one pet but may consider two upon requests depending on size of pet.

Beautiful historical Mountain cabin

We loved staying here! Between the gorgeous mountian views, the humming birds and all of the fishing and hiking that the area has to offer, this was a perfect spot for our visit.

This was the perfect place for our stay in the area! It’s close enough to Estes Park for convenience, yet far enough away to feel peaceful and private. After long days exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax and recharge. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to come back!

Perfect location, not too far from Estes Park, but far enough to feel like you're out on your own. The hot tub was fabulous and the cabin was very clean and so incredibly cute. Would definitely come back

Best Cabin for rent!

Me and my wife honeymooned at this cabin and we were very pleased with the cabin! It has such beautiful scenery overlooking longs peak and Twin sisters peak! It is a peaceful cabin and secluded! We had an absolutely amazing time and will definitely be coming back!

Cozy Mountain Cabin

This is the perfect spot for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Historic charm, modern updates and amazing views all around. Sitting in the hot tub while snow lightly falling was a bonus! Super clean and responsive, helpful hosts. So sad to leave!

Everything we were looking for

This place was perfect for us. Proximity to RMNP, seclusion, mountain views, sunrise and sunset views... all in a rustic (but very nice) cabin with a hot tub. The hummingbirds were a very entertaining bonus. I can't wait to come back!

Awesome Couples Cabin

Cabin is very clean with all the necessary amenities. It is close to the road and easy to find yet tucked away enough for privacy. The hot tub was perfect to relax with a drink and enjoy the evening sky and night stars. We found the drive to Estes Park scenic and saw elk and deer along the way. Thanks to our host for sharing!

Excellent Getaway

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The location is close enough to Estes Park for convenience, but far enough away to really enjoy the alone time. The hot tub is great for soaking after a long hike, and you can enjoy the views of Mount Meeker. There's also plenty of hummingbirds buzzing about, a much welcomed treat. All in all, I would recommend it to any adventurous couple looking for a getaway.

Honeymoon Stay

It was the cutest cabin for a honeymoon getaway! The views were unmatched. There’s internet at the cabin but no service getting up there so we struggled a little to find it at first. Easy drive to Estes! Very responsive host.

Birthday getaway

Cute little cabin, has almost everything you need. Lots of dust and dog hair, the bed is quite hard and the pull out bed has a mouse turd on it when we opened it, so we didn’t want to use that. The fact you have to dispose of your own garbage at the end is a little ridiculous. Other then that had a great time in the mountains

A perfect getaway cabin

This is my third time renting this cabin and I love every thing about it. Well maintained comfortable and clean . The owners Rosemary and Brian are always quick to respond with any questions or needs. I always feel safe when staying here. The cabin is located right outside Estes Park ,secluded but close to all the best hiking , RMNP, Wild Basin, Lily lake, and Indian Peaks Wilderness, a hidden gem. I will continue to return.

Weekend trip to the Rocky’s

This was the perfect place for us to stay and use as a homestead while exploring the Rocky Mountains. It’s a quick ride to many of the national park entrances but also has a lot of charm and is enjoyable to stay at the house and relax with such a beautiful view of the mountains right from the deck. We had no problems with check in or check out and appreciated the owners communication throughout booking and check in. The place is very clean and had everything we needed! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Great Cabin

Great stay at this quaint and home historic cabin. My kids and I enjoyed our stay and all of our needs were met. We loved the proximity to the Wild Basin side of RMNP. The only request I'd have is to stock the home with both cleaning and basic toiletry products. There were no all purpose cleaners for kitchen clean up and no tissues. Those items would have completed our stay!

True cabin.

It was a neat looking cabin with old antique stove and fridge. Location nice if you are wanting out of town but not too far away from everything. If you can’t handle a very firm mattress this may not be the best place for you. Does have a sofa bed available but with the layout of the cabin makes it real tight….probably best suited for a couple.

Lightning strike

Great property, unfortunately the wifi was out due to a lightning strike which left the property disconnected from the rest of the world. Normally would have been an added benefit however we needed to have the ability to communicate so had to reschedule our vacation. The owners were gracious and the process was smooth, thanks for everything.

Honeymoon Stay

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon after getting married in Estes Park. I interacted with Rosemary leading up to the stay and she was extremely helpful and friendly. Everything was as advertised and the cabin was a perfect size for my wife and I. It was very secluded which was great for us to get disconnected from our crazy lives. One thing to be aware of is that the location is definitely secluded in terms of phone service, at least for myself, so make sure you screenshot or write down all check in info as needed before driving in. We lost service and had to drive back a lil ways to get service again to ensure we had details. Overall we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend. We met rosemary when dropping off our trash at the designated drop off location and got to chat for a bit! Can’t wait to come back!

Nice small romantic cabin

This cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway. Hot tub is a great touch! the view of the surrounding mountains is just gorgeous. Our only (mild!) complaint was the owner called us on a landline phone within the cabin multiple times (honestly we were very confused why a phone was ringing at all and certainly wouldn’t have expected it was for us. We only answered hoping to make the ringing stop) which somewhat soured our last day of the stay. The owners were very kind and the call was a courtesy call so probably wouldn’t bother most folks, my husband and I just both work in tech and were looking to get away from notifications. all in all, a lovely place to stay!

A Charming Mountain Must-Stay!!

This was one of the best VRBO's we have ever stayed at! A cute, rustic, charming yet updated little mountain cabin. Perfect size for a getaway for my husband & I without the kids. Cabin was easy to find, stunning views and 10/10 cleanliness (which is a big deal for me when picking rentals). The hot tub on the deck overlooking the mountains is stamped in our minds forever. Just beautiful. Also enjoyed helping take care of the hummingbirds and watch them buzz around. ~20 mins to RMNP Beaver Meadows entrance, and ~3-5 mins from RMNP Wild Basin entrance. Also enjoyed Lilly Lake hikes as reccomended by Rosemary. Upon arrival there had just been a big lightning storm and phone & water were out...but Brian & Rosemary were there taking care of it into the darkness of night to make sure we had water for our stay. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Brian & Rosemary for sharing a piece of your history with us.

This property was perfect for me! It was incredibly clean, cozy, had everything that I needed. The hot tub was great for crisp evenings. The location is ideal for me - close enough for exploring and hikes we wanted to do but also far enough away that it was very a very private and peaceful escape at the end of an active day. I highly recommend this property, I enjoyed it very much.
