The place was nice, i just wished it would have curtains. No curtains in the kitchen, back door or living room. Everything else was great. Hot tub was great!! Was a quiet neighborhood. Close to downtown.
The house was fine. We were excited to stay because of the fenced in yard and hot tub. The hot tub water was pretty dirty, which I assume is because itâs off season. The water in the shower was wildly inconsistent because the cold water knob was broken. The front door is not intuitive to lock, so be sure to ask the host. They sent someone to the house hours later, but the house was unlocked the whole time we were gone. Overall, the location is the winner for the house. We were able to walk into town with our dogs with no issues. The views are great and neighborhood is very quiet. It worked out for us nicely.
Really great location & communication with host was responsive. BUTâŠit was about 80 degrees in Estes when we arrived, and the house was VERY hot, especially in the upstairs where the bedrooms are. The thermostat was set at like 50, but no air ever kicked on, and when I asked the host, they said it was just warm outside & to open windows. Only one window opened upstairs, the host offered to come look at the windows, but none had screens so we wouldnât want the others opened anyway. The ceiling fan in one room was terribly noisy. First two nights were so hot it was kind of miserable & hard to sleep.
We are in our mid 70s. Husband is tall. Wife has arthritis. The stairs were an issue and I couldnât get a good sense of the floor plan from the pictures of the property. Basically you enter into the landing of 2 flights of stairs. You must descend 7 stairs or ascend 7 stairs from a small area inside the front door. And duck your head if youâre tall. Difficult if youâre carrying anything. The kitchen was goodâall appliances worked well. The table didnât work for us. We couldnât stabilize it and the stools werenât comfortable. We ate in the den with the tv tables. The backyard is on a definite slope (study the picture) so we didnât use the fire pit. We also didnât use the spa tub becoz it was too cool outside. The fencing was secure for our dog. The beds were comfortable (temperpedic-style mattress) and the washer/dryer is very convenient. Laundry Supplies were provided. The heating worked wellâsounds like running waterâŠWe paid for 5 nights but only stayed 2 and had to move to a flat place in town. Expensive, but the stairs were not a good fit for us. The entire street is quite steep and houses are close together. But the neighborhood is quiet. I didnât feel like the pictures accurately portrayed the floor plan of the house. I could not stay there again. But if a sloped driveway and backyard,And indoor stairs donât disorient you, then it could be a good choice. The art work is lovelyâŠ
Woods & Waves was a really great place to stay in Estes Park - convenient location and all the amenities. I really appreciate the flexibility with the check-in time! I was in Estes for the Longs Peak Scottish & Irish Festival, and this was the perfect location.
We stayed for 3 nights. The location is great! The washer and dryer were nice to have. We are 4 seniors. Lugging our suitcases up and down the stairs was a bit of an effort. The property is in need of additional maintenance. There were a couple of lights that didnât work, the sink & tub were clogged when we arrived, some window cranks are missing so windows donât lock. The BbQ is a fire hazard. The yard is not well maintained. There was dog waste when we arrived. We wouldnât stay again.
Our 3-night stay was great! We loved the convenience of easily walking to many locations in Estes Park. The neighborhood was quiet and the fenced in back yard was a hit with our dogs and we loved that convenience as well. The house was extremely clean and very much as described in the listing. We saw an elk walking through the neighborhood on the second day of our stay!
We enjoyed our stay in Estes Park. This property really fit the bill for us. It was well-appointed and in a great location near downtown. The fenced yard was an added perk for our dog! And we enjoyed the hot tub in the cool mountain air. Would definitely stay there again!
We were looking for a nice and quiet break from life and it was perfect, even had a doe and fawn come visit us on our last night, also a elk was a couple houses away
No more Hotels EVER! To stay in a Home with many amenities and a Hot Tub and a Fireplace! Felt like Home for week and all you needed was your clothes and food! Beautiful Property, We Will Be Back!
Great location to river walk and free parking garage. Be aware that the house is located on a hill and can be challenging to walk up. I would not describe the house as modern but it accommodated our needs. Backyard was not maintained. I did not expect a grassy lawn but the three foot weeds were an eye sore. No
Our family (and our golden retriever) had a great long weekend trip to Estes Park. The house was very convenient and perfect for taking our dog along with us. Hosts were excellent to work and responded very quickly to all inquiries. We would gladly stay here again in any future to the area.
We had a relaxing stay here. Close to downtown, Estes Lake to walk our dog & the National Park.
Nice quiet neighborhood. It would be nice to have grass or artificial grass for the dogs to have an area to go potty. Our little one had to have the dirt/mud washed off her paws everytime we took her out so she wouldn't get the floors dirty. Bit inconvenient.
The beds are comfortable, but the chairs in the living room are small for anyone over 5'8. We enjoyed the hottub every evening after a long day in the Rockies.
Overall, a nice place to stay for the price.
