Charming A-Frame 5 Minutes from Breckenridge

Welcome to the Blue River Chalet, a charming classic A-frame chalet in a peaceful, rustic setting.

As soon as you arrive, you'll feel all of your stress and worries melting away as you walk across the little bridge over the creek toward the house. The faint sound of wind in the spruce and aspen trees, the whirring call of the hummingbirds and if the creek is running the sound of water trickling over the rocks welcome you to your quaint A-frame accommodation.

There might even be a moose or two waiting to welcome your arrival!

Inside you'll find a comfortable living area with sleeper sofa, TV with cable & streaming apps, dining table with 4 chairs and fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy all of the cool original accents and touches that have been preserved by the owner during the recent renovation.

On the main level you'll find a bedroom with a queen bed along with a full bathroom.

There is also a washer/dryer combo in the chalet.

Climb up the ladder to the loft area and you'll find two twin platform beds as well as another bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a half bathroom in the loft. (Be aware that the ladder to the loft is steep but there is a handrail to hold onto as you go up and down.)

Out front is a large deck with a grill and seating where you can enjoy the serene surroundings.

NOTE: A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended during inclement winter weather.

The owner of the chalet lives nearby so is available if you should need any assistance.

Cool A Frame!

This A Frame is located far enough from Breck to "get away from it all" but also close enough to check out the cute downtown and mountain area. We visited in summer and had a great stay. The cabin is awesome and had everything we needed. Hope to visit again!

Beautiful A frame had plenty room for everyone and had a magical time with all the snow around my kiddos loved playing in all the snow and my youngest had a grand time in the big tub! Will stay again or definitely recommend to friends!

Wonderful gem of a place. So many features make it convenient and cozy. Nice lighting, enough hanging hooks, cupboard space, deck space, on and on. Would love better TV, but all in all areal special spot for a couple or three persons.

Perfect location Super clean and we are picky. Beautiful home. Fully loaded kitchen for cooking, baking and meal prep. Super quiet surroundings with occasional visit from wildlife. Grilled on deck with comfy relaxing chairs. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom very clean and big!! 5 minutes from Breckinridge.

Our teens don’t typically enjoy being away from home over the holidays but this cabin provided a fun, unique-enough experience that added a different level of holiday excitement for them. It was a nice, clean space with modern furniture/ accents. The festive exterior holiday lighting was the cherry on top. Thank you for a memorable stay!

A place of peace

Pictures do not do justice and location is second to none. I booked this chalet for a quiet snowboarding trip with the guys and it was by far the highlight of the trip. Nature is everywhere, the inside of the rental is rustic yet homie, and all the amenities are there. We had a small issue with the heating but the property manager was incredibly quick to respond and resolve even though it was very late at night. This speaks volumes about the people behind the scenes. 10/10 would recommend for a getaway and 10/10 will be rebooking this property!

Property clean and cozy. Upstairs bedroom loft was inconvenient and only had a sink and toilet. Not a full 2 bath. DVR did not work. No TV’s in the bedrooms. Large kitchen window but no blinds or curtains so no privacy. Also can see everything upstairs from outside due to very thin curtains. Again. Lack of privacy at night. Anyone can see in

Hi Michael, thank you for your review, we were happy to host your stay. It sounds like you were expecting s full bathroom upstairs and TVs in the bedrooms. We advertise the upstairs bathroom as a "half bath" and do not advertise TVs in the bedrooms. In fact, we've worked hard to make sure that the description of the property on the listing is accurate in order to set our guests' expectations. As for privacy, we've never had a guest mention that they felt there was a lack of privacy before. This is a very quiet neighborhood and it would be pretty much impossible for anyone to see inside the house unless they were standing at the window. We are sorry however, if you were uncomfortable in the house during your stay.

Enjoyed our stay

updated and nice. Perfect little cabin and we enjoyed our stay. The loft worked okay for our family because our son is contained in a in a pack n play, but wouldn't be comfortable with toddlers or young children because of cut out for ladder.

Perfect cabin!

My husband and I spent 4 weeks in this adorable cabin. The location is perfect, only a 5 minute drive to Breckenridge. The neighborhood is very quiet, and we saw several moose and foxes! We had everything we needed: wifi, kitchen items, grill, plenty of towels, and a comfortable living space. We already miss it!
