The two apartments are connected by an interior suite door and total over 3000 square feet with 7 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms and a sizable double Charleston "piazza." This is where you want to be for larger gatherings; ample open space and plenty of free onsite parking at a location that is unparalleled. The house was exactly as advertised. Perfect for hosting a large group for the weekend. The host was easy to communicate with as well.

Fabulous location!

Property was within easy walking distance to King Street with all the shops and restaurants. There was plenty of room for our extended family. The two living areas allowed us to spread out when we needed space.

Beautiful Charleston Home

The owner Andrew was super nice & gave us a walk through. The property is tastefully decorated and has all of the things that make you feel at home. Lots of sleeping room & a nice outdoor patio. Walking distance to several restaurants.

perfect bachelorette party home-base

We had a group of 10 people and we all fit very comfortably in this space for sleeping, getting ready, and hanging out! Would definitely recommend this as a space for large groups that want easy walking-distance access to bars & restaurants!

We had a bachelor party of about 12 guys. House is great, the owner Andrew was the man. Great house and weekend in Charleston.

Amazing time

We had the best time staying here! Andrew was very responsive and helped make sure we had everything we needed from the second we arrived. We got the check in address ahead of time and the code for the doors was sent right at check in time. This made the whole process super easy. The house itself was great and the location could not have been better. We were able to walk to breakfast at Holey City Bagels and then walk to dinner each night on King Street. Overall great experience :)

Perfect Location

This home provided us with so much room for our group of friends and was so close to everything we needed in downtown Charleston. The check in process was easy and we were fully communicated with by Andrew during our whole stay. Overall it was great but we didn’t realize how loud it was during the night. Being an older home the walls are thin so the cars and people walking at night were heard very easily. If you are used to city living, the place will make you feel like home.

50th Anniversary/Family Vacation

Loved the site. Large site with many beds accommodated well our extended family of 16 people. Three floors worked great for sleeping and privacy. Large family room great for gathering and eating. Piazza was awesome for family laughs and cocktails. Kitchens worked well for dinner thanksgiving prep. Loved location to walk to eateries, market and restaurants. Location fantastic. A few cons: grates on air vents rusted and moldy. Shower drain slow on second floor. No paperwork explaining exit plan. Recommendation, if possible in a binder list info on history of the mansion would be very interesting.

My staff is typically available within 30 minutes or so. Just let us know if there's a clogged drain, etc.

Charleston Retreat

Great location, good fit for guests, loved the porch for gathering with family! Although we had a few hiccups, Andrew was most accommodating! Would return in a heartbeat!

Completely perfect

Andrew was so very accommodating and quick to respond. The two houses (Carpenter and Piazza) were so well suited for our family's needs. Can't recommend the accommodation enough, including it being in such a great location.

Great spot!

Had a blast, great spot right in the heart of Charleston. 5 min walk to great food, shopping, bars. Would definitely recommend!

Girls trip

This was a great location for our girls trip. Everyone had their own bed and we had a lot of room to gather. We could walk or Uber easily everywhere we wanted to go.

Great Property and Location, Terrible Customer Service

I was really looking forward to our girls trip to Charleston and staying at this spacious, beautiful rental (which was in an awesome location). While the property itself is almost exactly as advertised, and the 14 of us were comfortable, I would not rent this property again for the simple fact that I did not enjoy working with the property manager, Andrew. Forty-eight hours prior to arrival, I still had not received check-in information (which I was supposed to receive a week before), and when I reached out to Andrew to ask for this information, he simply stated that he was "very busy with his properties and would hopefully be able to check us in between 3-4," even though check-in time clearly states 3pm. As 10 of the 14 guests were flying in for this weekend, I found this problematic. We arrived at 3pm and were told it would still be a while, and then asked why we were so eager to get into the house. When we came back at 4pm, we were told that we could go into the upstairs part of the home, but the downstairs portion would "still be a while." We were not able to access the entirety of the rental until 4:45pm. At no point during this entire process did we receive an apology for the inconvenience. In fact, Andrew appeared annoyed that we were arriving when we were supposed to be checked-in. While I completely understand that things can go wrong and sometimes mistakes happen, I was incredibly disappointed with the lack of hospitality and customer service. If the property manager would have apologized and provided an alternative option while we waited in the July heat to get into our rental, I would have given a higher rating. However, because he was rude and difficult to work with, I will not be renting this property again, as there are plenty of other options with more accommodating hosts in the area.

Great bachelorette location!

Andrew was extremely accommodating with the numerous travel changes/potential changes due to COVID. We had an amazing trip and the VRBO is perfect for a group, great location. Would highly recommend!
