Your perfectly charming get-away in the center of the Texas Wine Country!
The Helen Louise House, located in a quiet neighborhood, is only a 10 minute walk from downtown Fredericksburg's museums, restaurants, art galleries, shops, and wine tasting rooms. The charming 2 bed/2 bath house, built in 1950 and lovingly renovated and expanded in 2016, is perfect for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. You will appreciate the fully equipped large kitchen and wine bar, the sparkling clean full bathrooms, the light and airy screened-in porch, and the large and comfortable living room. Additionally, the property is fully landscaped with a large backyard complete with a 2-person hammock and the sound of a soothing fountain. Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner outside on the shaded patio beneath a lovely, mature pecan tree. If it's chilly, warm up by the chimenea and watch the yard art in the hen house! You are welcome to enjoy exploring Fredericksburg riding one of the many cruiser bikes available in the garage. You'll love the small touches provided by us, the private owners of the Helen Louise House--from the bathroom amenities baskets to the wine and snack basket, your stay will be unforgettable!
Very clean and adorable home. Great location. Enjoyed all the extra little details that were provided. Beautiful backyard where we enjoyed our coffee every morning.
This was the perfect place to reconnect with friends. The 2 beds and 2 bath was the right size for the 3 of us. The screened in porch made for a great place to relax among the serene setting and have "catch-up" conversations. The house was very homy, comfortable and nicely updated. We loved having access to bikes ready to ride and enjoyed touring the town on them. Beth, the host, was great to work with! We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I and another couple took a quick weekend trip to Fredericksburg. We travel a lot and have stayed in many different homes. This was by far the best we have ever stayed at. The personal touches were awesome and the comfort of the home was perfect. If income this way again I will definitely stay in this home again!
This house was perfect for our weekend getaway. Close enough to it all but yet nice and quiet in the evening. This was exactly what we were looking for.
This is our second stay at this outstanding home in a quiet neighborhood. An easy bike ride to all downtown venues or walk if you want to work off all the German food and barbeque. The internal and external amenities are absolutely outstanding making our stay so easy and comfortable. The second bathroom was great for our party of four.We will recommend this home to all our friends/family and look forward to a return visit next Winter.John and Pam
This property is excellent in every way. Clean, neat, nicely appointed two bedrooms and two baths. Everything provided to insure the comfort and convenience of the guests. Highly recommended!
We're a "young" senior couple and a "young" senior friend (we feel "young') enjoying a weekend of relaxation and fun in Fredericksburg. We have stayed here before and thought the accommodations were perfect. The location is ideal for us--just a minute up the road from the Rockbox and downtown. In all, a very comfortable and clean place to stay.
We really enjoyed staying at this quiet, quaint home. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The house was fully stocked with anything we could possibly need, including snacks and a bottle of wine! We loved sitting on the screened in patio and watching the birds while having our morning coffee. Would definitely stay again!
Close to town, cute well kept home with bikes to use ! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and all that the owner provided including a bottle of wine !
This was the perfect home for a girls weekend. It was in a great location, nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed including freshly ground coffee beans and a screened in porch! We would definitely stay here again!
Max and I (Beth) own and manage the Helen Louise House, named after my mother. We bought the house in 2016 because we love Fredericksburg and love riding our bikes around the Hill Country. Since we live in Austin, we decided to rent the house, when we ourselves arenât able to use it. We hope youâll love the house as much as we do!
