The Balsam House is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home on a quiet street in the Pineland area. This home has level access and is equipped with a washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, electric range/oven, large stone fireplace and television with cable.

As you walk into the house, you enter the living room. The kitchen/dining area is to the left of the living area and there is one bedroom with a queen size bed, and one full bathroom (with tub/shower). Upstairs has the other two bedrooms, one with a queen, the other has 2 queen size beds and there is another full bathroom (with tub/shower) in the hall. There is also a nice sunny front deck that has patio furniture and a new gas Weber BBQ for your convenience.

This home is walking distance to Sunnyside Restaurant, has access to the popular Tahoe Park Private Beach; and you are within minutes of world class skiing at Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort and Northstar at Tahoe.

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

Cleaning fee includes linens and towels. You may want to bring beach towels, as those are not provided.

There is an electric fence system at this house to protect it from bears when unoccupied. Detailed instructions will be given to you once booked.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, this house is perfect for a budget ski lease. Its cheap and has a fantastic location for skiing squaw and alpine, but its amenities are minimal and outdated. My one critique for the experience would be to watch out for potential 'nickle and diming' upon the closing of the lease - the state of house leaves it open to that. That said, WLP managemnet was fantasticly helpful in all things related to the house, and even helped us get it one time when we forgot the key! Overall, we loved our time here and loved working with WLP.

A nice stay in the forest

Location is great for a family like mine. We love Tahoe City. I feel lucky a TV repairman was arriving when I did, along with the cleaning crew to finish making the beds. The managers failed to send me the door code until 2:00 AM the morning after check in. I was told I would receive a call from the property management, never received any calls. The downstairs bathroom shower was clogged and fills with water. My family started exclusively showering upstairs, that drain was in working order. All in all we enjoyed our stay. I would have used the private beach cardkey but found no instructions on where to locate the beach. That information should be in the binder.

We arrived a few hours early and Westlake Properties was very accommodating in allowing us to get into the home before our scheduled arrival.

Had to buy them and potholders. Plenty of plates and utensils.Toilet upstairs barely flushes and the one downstairs wobbles. Love the serenity of the street though and the campground behind us. Julie took care of our internet needs immediately. Plenty of fans were provided to keep us cool. My husband repaired the bedframe, dresser drawer handles and changed lightbulbs. The location makes this house worth revisiting.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is in great location and overall we had a great time.Expect we were accused of stealing things. First was a duvet cover and a week later w heater was add it. Carpet was dirty when got there and My feet was black just for walking in the house.They claim that we made it dirty and charge us for all that. If you don't want to deal with extra fee and be called thief I recommend booking other places. I have traveled to many places and never been called a thief.
