Laird House - Walk to Lake Tahoe - Hot tub!

The LAIRD HOUSE is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in the popular neighborhood of Tahoe Park. It's a member of and walking distance to the popular Tahoe Park Private Beach area with over 3 acres of lakefront enjoyment. Only a short drive to Tahoe City. High Ceilings and an open floorplan welcome you home.

The updated kitchen offers granite tiled counters, stainless steel appliances including a gas range/oven and dishwasher. The dining room table seats 6 people comfortably and there's a couple of bar stools at the countertop. This home also has a washer and dryer. Recently updated bathrooms and flooring throughout the home (photos coming soon!)

Gather on the leather sofas and warm up in front of a fire in the woodstove. Enjoy your favorite shows on the large flat screen TV with cable including networks like CNN, MSNBC, HBO, Showtime, NFL and more! Or, catch your favorite film on the Blue-ray DVD player. There is a surround sound stereo system with CD and cassette and high speed internet to enjoy as well.

The property has redwood patio furniture and a gas barbecue on the front deck, a patio table & hot tub on the back deck, and a fully fenced-in back yard. It's also easily accessible to many biking/hiking trails and there are public tennis courts about 1/2 mile from the house. There is level access and parking for up to 3 cars. In the winter months, you are within a short drive to Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort, and Northstar at Tahoe!

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

Great for ski trips!

Some friends and I stayed for a weekend during ski season. The house was clean, well-stocked, and the hot tub was fantastic after a long day on the mountain.

The beds were comfortable but thank heaven we brought fans for each room as it was a very hot week.Our only grip was a very cranky neighbor who lives there and obviously does NOT like renters. She actually took pictures! Thank heaven she was gone for most of our week. Nice house though and pretty well equipped!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience in Tahoe was wonderful but we would not stay at Laird house again. The best part of it was the proximity (walking distance) and access to the park/beach HOA at Westshore. The front room and kitchen were fine and so was the deck area. But the house needs some serious TLC in other ways.

A Cozy Winter Stay

Great cabin for families with small kids!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Laird House was near perfect for our stay in Lake Tahoe for a wedding. We have two very active small children, and this cabin was the perfect combination of comfortable, cozy, and safe (and the Star Trek poster was a nice touch to the decor). It was easy to "baby proof" the few areas that needed it, and it being only one story saved us some safety worries. The backyard was nice to have, too, though we only used it for lunch one day since we had access to the lovely park besides the lake. The only complaint I had was that we had a partial power outage the day of the wedding, but Julie took care of us quickly and courteously, which was especially impressive on a Saturday. Also, please note that if you or your kids are scared of dogs, there is a dog bark alarm system to help keep away bears (easy to turn off, but definitely startling upon arrival).Next time we're in Lake Tahoe, we're definitely going to rent the Laird House again.

The property is on a quiet street and the interior is really cozy. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need cook any meal. We are already planning a stay here next summer.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LAIRD HOUSE in spite of it's great location

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: location was great! the maintenance of the home was NOT good... we've stayed there several years because of the location, but last year tried another place because of weak porch steps at Laird's. we're concerned it'd break under someone's step... but were told the place had been up-graded a bit so tried it again this year :( the kitchen cabinets were nice, but the porch's step problems had extended to further into the support of the porch. the water heater was not consistent... early on in our stay, after dinner and dishes, there was no hot waters for showers 'til morning. was not a problem later in the week.......

A pleasant stay in the Tahoe Park area

The homes are very close to each other but it neighbors all seem pretty respectful. For the most part the home was very clean ... I do agree to Master Shower is gross so we simply didn’t use it (there is another shower). The hallways are dark but nothing a light or open door couldn’t fix. The best part was the Tahoe Park beach and park area ... our kids loved it. However, the Tahoe Park Association closed it to all “renters” the last 3 days we were there which was VERY disappointing since we paid for the house that gave us access. Very frustrating :( Hoping we can get a credit of some sort. Aside from that ... a pleasant stay was had by all. Thank you.

Needs improvement!!

This home has a ton of potential but the owners obviously don't care about it. The carpet is filthy, the bathrooms have mold in the showers, the beds are horrible and the management is rude and not helpful. I like the area because it is walking distance to Sunnyside, but the neighbors are not nice at all. It's really unfortunate because the house could be great if updated and clean and properly managed. Even the pool guy was rude when we asked if he would change the water in the hot tub since it was murky from the previous 2 families that used it. Seriously, gross!! Oh, the couches are also really uncomfortable. Just to leave on a positive note....they allow dogs :)
