This was a quick get away and it was perfect all around. Location, host, area and anything else you want to add was just what we were after. Great place.
The cabin is just as perfect as it looks in the pictures! Very homey cabin with a super friendly owner. The view is beautiful, we enjoyed the river and sitting on the deck watching the birds. I would highly recommend and are already anticipating our next trip.
The cabin was very clean. Bob was very helpful with local information and suggestions. We spent our days sitting by the river, hiking and tasting local foods. You can be as busy as you want to be. Exactly the laid back vacation we were looking for.
We loved our stay. The cabin was very comfortable and well equipped. The lake was tranquil. There are very few power boats, so itâs ideal for kayaking, swimming and bird watching.
The property was in great shape and in an amazing location. We floated on the water, relaxed in the hammock, and grilled out over the fire one night. If you are looking to unplug I would highly recommend this property and the hosts were incredibly accomodating.
We had fantastic time at the Treehouse! The place was very clean and had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed fishing everyday, and there was a perfect launch pad for our Kayaks! Bob and Gracie were very friendly and suggested some great restaurants for us to try... 1011 Bistro, Rails A Cafe At The Depot and the Pint & Plow Brewing Company- all very good! Thank you Bob and Gracie!
We were looking for a stress free stay with a relaxing vista and easy access to the river for a kayak. And we this delightful cabin delivered! Thank you to Bob and Gracie for sharing their little peace of heaven.
Beautiful, relaxing place! The owners are very friendly and very accommodating. The only thing people need to understand is that the treehouse is not equipped for cooking, no stove, no microwave. Everything else was perfect! We loved our stay there and plan to return!
The cabin was so clean and well appointed. The host even had muffins waiting for us for breakfast and offered to throw food on the grill for us when they were cooking one night. The owners live on the property and clearly take great pride in taking care of their land. The entry to the water was a little dicey for my 70 year old mom. There are some concrete steps that lead to a wood boat launch but that's slippery with algae. There is a ladder but it's surrounded by plants coming out of the water so it didn't appear to be an ideal entrance. Ultimately I managed to get her in the water using the side of the concrete steps. For myself it wasn't hard at all. The boat traffic was minimal with most being paddle boards/kayaks. The waters edge and the porch are both in the shade in the afternoon making it perfect to sit outside and relax. We would absolutely stay again.
The perfect place to relax and unwind. The cabin was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The view and breeze were spectacular! A great place to rest and recharge.
We had a great time at this beautiful property. The hosts were incredible and took care of everything we needed. The cabin was well appointed, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The property is a little slice of paradise, the view of the river never gets old. With the shade from the huge trees and the. cool river breeze, we were able to enjoy floating around even in the 100+ degree weather. We will be back!!
We moved here from San Antonio over 25 years ago. we are both (semi) retired and enjoy traveling in our RV to different parts of Texas and the rest of the country.
Again the river and our attachment to it. The Guadalupe is a Texas treasure. It brings in all types of wildlife from birds to a variety of animals from armadillos, foxes, and deer. Our property is a designated wildlife habitat! Gracie is a Texas Master Naturalist! Bob is a geologist.
