I really do wish I could give a better review. Hyde Beach House has the potential to be so great. The pros are the location and the size of the unit. We have a family of 6 so a large place was key. Unfortunately, the unit is very basic and not well-equipped. There were 6 bath towels and 4 wash cloths. There are no beach towels, kitchen towels, pot holders, extra blankets or pillows. The bedding is very basic, with thin, low quality sheets and blankets. Thankfully there is a washer/dryer in the unit. There is a beach service (for an added fee per day). However, it only provides 2 chairs, 4 towels, and an umbrella, in a small, congested space. None of the items can be moved out of that space. They would not provide us 2 more towels for our family of 6. If you are there during a high-traffic time, you may not even be able to get a spot without a long wait. We did this day 1 only. It was horrible. You are literally squished in like sardines. The second day we went to Walmart for beach towels, chairs, umbrella. We flew so had to leave it all behind but felt there was no other choice. The co. should seriously consider no longer using the beach service and provide these items in the condo. I would suggest packing beach towels and a collapsible cooler. Lastly, but really a huge issue, was the elevators. We waited for 25 minutes for the elevator on almost every ride! Many times we gave up and took 22 flights of steps!!!! So not cool. Sadly, we wonât be back.
Lighting was out in the main bedroom closet. When we got settled in the room, a guest of mine thought to ask room service for towels and they told us it wasnât allowed for our unit. I tried calling and texting the number listed to assist with the unit & they never responded for the stay. We had no face towels. We had to go buy different size towels to accommodate ourselves. Other than those issues! Great stay
