This property is pretty magical, very secluded and quiet but just the right distance from flagstaff. A cozy perfect guest house, with everything you could need! We had such an amazing time.
The home was spotless which is a must! Owner was an excellent property manager and great communicator.
Zero issues with our stay and we would highly recommend staying here.
It was so nice to stay in the Daulton Ranch guesthouse. Beautiful countryside surroundings & just close enough to Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Sedona & Meteor Crater. Very cozy guesthouse was perfect for my son & I!!
We loved our two-night stay here! The hosts were great and provided great directions and hospitality. It is located within the proximity of a lot of attractions and things to do. A nice, quiet, comfortable, country get away. We would highly recommend it, especially after a busy day of sightseeing.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The guest house is on a working ranch and very peaceful. The owners were next door but there is a fence between the two properties. They responded to every request we had and even brought an umbrella over after noticing we enjoyed sitting on the patio. Next night, when it was quite warm, they brought over a mister. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and highly recommend it.
The place is clean and cool. It has no internet service no tv. I was not informed of thos until I arrived. Plus it has a limited selection of movies to watch.
The Bunk House is a very cute getaway for a couple or a small party. The hosts make the check in process very easy. Cabin rules are reasonable and check out is simple. We used the Bunk House as our base camp in between hiking and visiting Grand Canyon National Park so didn't stay around the ranch very much except to sleep at the end of the day. I will say traffic noise from I-40 made it difficult to sleep the first night, but midway through the night, we turned the fan on to drown out the noise and didn't have any issues sleeping the rest of the night or the next. The price is fair and the house was clean and comfortable!
Very nice off the beaten path place to stay. Lacking cable and Internet if that is someoneâs must have. I didnât miss those at all! The only thing I think it really needed was a bigger capacity hot water heater.
Staying on the Daulton Ranch was a great experience. The weather was cold but we were warm in the guest house. The house was decorated in western decor which I thought was great! It was very clean and cozy. Kristen was a great host and when we come back through that way we definitely want to be staying there again.
Comfortable clean house, new everything :), great location as a base for day trips, professional and cordial hosts. Thank you for letting us meet the horses, and overall for the great expeience!
My husband and I stayed from a Thursday to Sunday. Beautiful location to stay outside of Flagstaff. The sink and fridge came in handy. The host communicated timely and clearly making the check in place process seamless. The house itself was nicely decorated and clean and suited our needs. What a little gem to find in AZ!
Very centrally located to several northern Arizona tourist spots, yet provided the quiet location we were looking for. It was a 20 minute drive into the Flagstaff business and restaurant area, which provided us with many different choices for eating out. Communication with owner was easy. Cabin is lovely and provides all the basic necessities for a short stay, but the bed and seating/futon situation could definitely be improved to make the stay more physically comfortable. If not for the level of comfort that it lacks, I would give the property 5 stars.
The property was away from town and on a working horse ranch. It was peaceful and quiet. The house was a good size and had everything we needed.
The only negative about the house was the furniture. If you are looking for comfortable furniture to relax on, this is not the place. The recliner was ok but small. The couch, which was a jack-knife bed was small, hard and very uncomfortable to sit on.
Never saw or heard from the owner even though they live right next door. We did not have a need to meet them but if it was my property, I would want to meet the people staying there. Even if it just to say hello.
We would stay here again.
Great place to disconnect from city life and look at the stars. Kristen has also been great about coordinating some left behind items that were of major sentimental value which I very much appreciate.
The owners left us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary! Completely fantastic stay! Very beautiful view and a lovely stay. Highly recommended.
The guest house in in âhorse countryâ just east of Flagstaff. What my husband and I loved about the little place was its PRIVACY! The house is built like a bunker of concrete brick and a beautifully stained concrete floor. At times the wind was wicked, but never really noticed it. We had a wonderful time using this place as a jumping off place for all of our destinations of Sunset Crater, Winslow, Walnut Canyon and of course the Grand Canyon.
We never met our hosts.
Beware, youâll be staying at about 7,000 foot elevation. The views around here are breathtaking and so is the thin air!
Nice place. Small and quaint which is what we like. We were looking for a starting point for a Petrified Forest and Grand Canyon trip and the location was perfect.
Our son turns 3 in March and he has never been to the snow. We wanted to spend the weekend in Flagstaff, but we didnât want to stay at a generic motel, so we looked for something close to the snow, but away from the city. We found this ranch property and knew it would be perfect. The house is located on a ranch surrounded by horses and fields and quiet. Our son loved it. We referred to it as the cabin throughout our stay and our son called it the Kevin.
The house itself is small and quaint. There is a bedroom, a living room, a small kitchen, and a bathroom. It is decorated for country and horse lovers alike. Our horse loving toddler was in heaven. He loved all of the pictures of horses and the living area. The owners take pride in this property. It is well maintained, clean, and has a definite homey feel to it. At night, it was completely dark and the star gazing was absolutely amazing. If it wasnât the middle of a snowy winter, we would have sat outside longer to watch the stars.
Although the owners live next door, they were far enough away to make the cabin feel secluded. We waved hello to the owners when we arrived and waved goodbye to them as we left.
We would definitely stay here again. It was a perfect size house for the three of us.
We purchased our home in Jan 2020. While we are native to Flagstaff we longed to be further from town and a more rural, quiet way of life. We love having our horses, big garden and chickens. We rarely venture to town even though its not far at all. It's like our house was built for us 35 years ago! We couldn't love it more!
We love living here and the country/ranch atmosphere. The natural beauty surrounding us is breath taking. We love the outdoors, hiking, riding our horses, gardening and spending time together. We were drawn to this property for the "slow down" life it offered us.
Experience rural living with the convenience of being close to town. Or pack your ice chest and cook here. We highly recommend checking out the area around us for hiking, picnics of just a drive. There is no oven, however we do have the kitchen stocked. There is a crock pot, an electric two burner stove top, coffee maker, freezer, fridge, outdoor grill, toaster oven and a microwave.
