Great family spot

Great for our family. Kids loved the diving board and swimming in the quiet cove. We loved the big shady yard and spacious clean apartment!

Weekend Away for 5 Moms

Doug and Amanda were wonderful to work with. My group consisted of 5 moms who just wanted to relax. This rental was perfect. Plenty of space. Clean. Many amenities like paddleboards, kayaks, fire pit, floating dock that we could use. We can’t wait to go again.

Relaxing and consistently wonderful!

This was the third time we have rented this VRBO, because it is consistently amazing. Everything about this home is wonderful. Its set up is perfect for family and friends. This time, we had 2 of our daughters' friends come with us, so we had 6 people total staying every night. There is plenty of space, so none of us got in each others' way. We also had 2 of my friends stay one night; again, we felt like there was plenty of space to accommodate all of us without feeling the least bit cramped.One of the best parts of this home is its location on the lake. It's on a corner, so you have dock access as well as a gorgeous view from the patio (where we ate every meal) and small steps to get into the water as well. Every morning, I would walk across the lawn, down the steps, and into the water for a 2000 yd open water swim. My girls and their friends would float for hours on pool noodles next to the dock. My husband and I kayaked daily. The roads near the home are rolling hills that are perfect for running, which we did every morning while we were there. This home is my happy place, and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful home and property- one downfall

We loved our stay here. The property, access to the lake, use of paddleboards kayaks etc., were all amazing. It was almost too nice that we didn’t want to play frisbee on the huge backyard lawn and cause damage to it. Well worth the money to rent. ONE downfall was the internet that literally never worked and terrible cell reception. Only place you could get service or internet was the top of the driveway. This was tough when some of our party we’re trying to work a bit during the stay. Overall great listing, great house. Hosts were friendly and endearing. Thanks!

Cell service can be tricky at the lake, with some providers being better than others, but that's the first we've heard about any issues with the internet. We fell in love with lake living (and this property)

We landed on this property as a short-notice stay-cation, since we live about an hour away. I'm not sure how it was still available, because this place was amazing! The location was gorgeous, on a cove, away from the craziness, but not in the boonies. Landscaping and exterior sold us as soon as we pulled up, and then the interior was perfect. Immaculate...really functional layout....top notch finishes, huge bedrooms all with lake views. And the owners were not only responsive to any question we had, but literally treated us like family and gave our teenage/college daughters and their friends memories for life! We floated, fished, dined, did smores on the pre-prepped firepit, cruised on the paddleboards and kayaks...we did it all and felt like we were at a resort. I highly recommend this property, UNLESS it's when we want to rent it again. In that case, stay away! Seriously (as frequent VRBO renters), this place hits the mark, and then some!

Wonderful home with fantastic amenities!

We absolutely loved staying at this home!! It truly delivered everything that was promised in its description. Amanda and Doug were so helpful...on the day we arrived, they oriented us to the home and the yard and dock. After that, they allowed us to be on our own, but I felt so comfortable knowing that we could contact them if we had any questions at all. Being right on the water was amazing...because this area is on a cove and not on the main channel, there was little boat traffic, allowing our kids to swim safely and allowing all of us to kayak and SUP at any time of the day without dealing with wakes from speedboats or jet skis. I swam close to 2000 yards almost every day we were there; the open water swimming was fantastic! The yard is impeccably maintained. We ate every meal out on the patio, played cornhole almost every day, and enjoyed the dock morning and night. The home itself is amazing. High ceilings, gorgeous fixtures, a convenient Jack and Jill bathroom, huge windows that view right onto the lake. The kitchen is huge and has everything you'll need, including a variety of sizes of pots and pans and bowls along with a big variety of utensils. The living room is huge. It more than accommodated my family of 4 as well as 2 friends who stayed with us for a few days of our trip. We cannot wait to stay here again. Amanda and Doug are wonderful hosts who maintain an amazing home that is comfortable and beautiful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Lakefront home!

Working with Doug was super great! The whole process was seamless. When we arrived, he greeted us, provided a tour of the home and outdoor spaces. Had the use of kayaks, paddle boards, the dock and diving board. We also had access to the outdoor grill and fire pit. The landscaped yard was gorgeous and had three access points to the water. The home was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. It was so hard to leave, as it was so relaxing and calm. Doug spent some time with us and made us feel very welcome. We cannot wait to return for another getaway!!

Excellent time at Lake Norman

We loved this property since it was very clean, had a great back yard for family activities and was able to back my pontoon boat into the water to the boat dock right from the back yard. The hosts, who live in the top floor of the house, were very friendly, responsive and accommodating. We hope to be back next year!

This property is great! Better than the pictures. Very clean and spacious. The view is outstanding. We grilled dinner one night. The kitchen has everything you could need for eating in. The owners are very friendly and made a fire for us the first night which was awesome! We rented a pontoon boat and cruised around the lake. We highly recommend this place!

Girls’ weekend getaway

My best friend and I, along with our daughters, spent the weekend in this lovely home. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The hosts were more than accommodating and so friendly. Doug built our evening fire for us and Amanda made us feel so at home that we can’t wait to return! The apartment is beautifully outfitted and nothing has been overlooked in making it into the perfect home away from home.

We absolutely love this property. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They keep the place very clean. The kitchen has everything you need and you never have to worry about running out of paper products or fresh clean towels. It was the perfect location on the lake where there isn’t hardly any traffic on the water and the kids could play without worry. Beautiful! Thank you for a wonderful long birthday weekend!
